Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, 5'-6' height required Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Not fully potty trained, working on it but doing great for her age Ideal Home/Adopter: A young family with child(ren). Joni prefers someone who works from home, works part-time, or is a stay-at-home parent as she loves being with her humans! Likes: Loves fluffy toys, belly rubs, being held, and running & jumping. She holds her own when playing with large adult dogs however, it should be under supervision due to her small size. Dislikes: Joni is an impressive jumper and for this reason, a 5-6 ft fence is ideal. Joni wants someone nearby when crated. She does great at night with her crate next other foster parent's bed. She eats in her crate and is happy as long as she can see her human. What makes this dog special: Joni is a gentle, loving dog that likes being where the action is in the house. She is smart and takes corrections well. She is the sweetest, cuddliest puppy with an adorable playful personality. Joni's adoption fee is $350 All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in [dog's name], apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1983781##

I’m a gem with my humans but when they leave I miss them.. a whole lot! Likes: I’d love a 6-8 foot fence so I could run and sniff and still be safe! Less than 6 ft and I’m peace out dude! I’d love to run and or hike a couple of miles per day with every single family member and I’ll run with the neighbors too!!! I looovvveeee activity!! Story
Meet Blake! If you're looking for a big, fun-loving Husky who will play with you all day long, here's your boy. Blake loves to play with people, toys, and other dogs! As a big guy who is very eager to make friends, Blake can come on pretty strong, so would do best with another social dog. A meet and greet with any dogs in the household is always recommended. Blake is eager to learn and would benefit from positive reinforcement training to work on his skills and manners! He came to CHA through our partnership with ASPCA. Blake is a gorgeous 2-year-old who weighs 72 lbs.

Story
Alakai is a beautiful boy seeking a family to help him gain some confidence in this big world! When Alakai came to us, he was terrified of everything. Leashes, other dogs, any sound you could think of it was all too much for him. We are very slowly making progress, but he is going to take a lot of time to come around and learn how to be a normal dog. He will need some help learning his basic commands and manners. Continued reward-based training would benefit him greatly. He will need a patient and loving family who will go slowly with him and allow him to do things at his own pace. With any fearful dog, we believe he shouldn't be left unsupervised while going outside to potty as he could be a flight risk. We are hoping that once he gets away from the stress of the shelter, he will be a completely different dog. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Alakai home. If you are interested in meeting Alakai, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Adoption fees are $250 and Nathan is fully vetted!
