Meet Monday! She is a t month-old husky/ hound mix who weighs 42 pounds. Monday arrived at CHA when her owner could no longer care for her. She still has a lot of puppy energy, and loves to play. But, she is also super affectionate, and loves to cuddle and spend time with her people. Monday has a prey drive, and needs to be in a home with no cats or small animals. However, she does love other dogs! Monday is an extraordinarily gentle player, and she has made so many doggie friends while at CHA. She even loves to play with the smaller puppies! This little Polar Bear (Nanuk) is growing like a weed! He is one of the husky mix pups that our rescue bottle fed since they were 3 days old. Their mom got very sick from something called fly strike and could no longer nurse. We saved her and the puppies!Nanuk is a very calm, independent, playful pup that is beautiful inside and out. He loves the outdoors and would love an active family that will take him places. He loves playing with other dogs, big and small. Sassy is currently at county pound but we will pull her if we can find a foster.Sassy and 8 other dogs were taken from abusive owners. Prior to being seized, Sassy lived indoors and never went outside.We have a volunteer who has gone to the shelter and has taken Sassy for walks and reports that Sassy is a wonderful dog! She is good on a leash and loves belly rubs.Sassy needs to be on a strong leash at all times. She gets spooked easily (remember, all of this is new to her) by cars, loud noises, etc.Sassy is approximately 40 pounds. She has been spayed.
