Story
Meet Arden From Barely Surviving to Her First Walk This is Arden, a 9-year-old mama whos learning that life doesnt have to hurt.Just weeks ago, she was rescued after giving birth to 8 puppies. She was found in critical condition with infected wounds that required emergency surgery and days of intensive hospital care. Her babies were bottle-fed around the clock while she fought to recover.Shes met other animals in her foster home, including the cat who has appointed himself the official welcome committee for every new foster, along with 3 other dogs. Shes figured out that couches are for sleeping on (not just looking at), and is slowly realizing that gentle hands mean good things. Her healing journey isnt finished, but shes already showing us who she really is: resilient, trusting, and ready for more.If youre looking for a dog who knows what matters and wont take a single good day for granted she might be your girl. Apply to meet Arden at ricopetrecovery.org. The adoption fee for Arden is $200. She has been spayed and is up to date on vaccines.

Story
Sassy is currently at county pound but we will pull her if we can find a foster.Sassy and 8 other dogs were taken from abusive owners. Prior to being seized, Sassy lived indoors and never went outside. We have a volunteer who has gone to the shelter and has taken Sassy for walks and reports that Sassy is a wonderful dog! She is good on a leash and loves belly rubs.Sassy needs to be on a strong leash at all times. She gets spooked easily (remember, all of this is new to her) by cars, loud noises, etc.Sassy is approximately 40 pounds. She has been spayed. Sassy lived with dozens of cats prior to being seized and taken to the shelter.Apply to foster Sassy and help her learn to trust people and gain confidence at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
CinnamonFemaleAge: 7 monthsEstimated Full Grown Weight: 35-40 lbsBreed: Husky/Pocket Bully Hi! I’m Cinnamon — sweet, smart, and always ready for fun or snuggles (especially snuggles!). I’m a cuddly puppy with an eager little heart, and I love being around people, kids, and other dogs. Whether it’s playtime or quiet time, I’m happiest when I get to share it with someone I love. I’m house trained, crate trained, and I walk very nicely on a leash. I haven’t spent much time around cats yet, so I’m not sure what I think of them, but with a careful introduction, who knows? I might do just fine. I adore bones, toys of every kind, and anything that lets me play, learn, or chew happily. I’m a very smart girl with a big eagerness to learn new things — training sessions are actually one of my favorite activities because I get to use my brain and make you proud. But my number one favorite thing in the whole world? Cuddling. If there’s a soft blanket, a comfy couch, or a warm lap, you can bet I’ll be right there curling up beside you. I’m a loving, intelligent puppy with so much joy to give. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who’s equal parts playful, bright, and affectionate, I’d love to be your new best friend. If you are interested in meeting Cinnamon apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org. To help me find the perfect match, I’m eligible for Cause for Canines’ Trial Adoption Program! This gives approved adopters a chance to get to know me in their home before making things official. You must be an approved adopter to participate. Adoption fee: $395. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5 or older. ##2581420##

Story
Meet Juneau, our beautiful and talented male Husky / Border Collie mix!Juneau has the striking looks of a Husky, but hes proven to be more attentive and trainable than you might expect. We suspect he has some Border Collie in himand that likely explains his focus and eagerness to learn.Juneau is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs approximately 44 lbs. He clearly had some training before coming to us and already knows basic commands like sit, down, and shake. He is very treat-motivated, which makes learning new skills both easy and fun.Despite a rough start to lifehe was rescued after living outdoors at the end of a chainJuneaus spirit shines. Now that hes warm, well-fed, and surrounded by love, hes absolutely thriving. Volunteers describe him as very friendly, incredibly sweet, and great with other dogs. This handsome boy seems to think hes landed in heaven, and hes ready to find a forever home where he can continue learning, playing, and being loved. If you think you could be the family Juneau has waited for, apply at www.caninecollective.org.

Story
Hi, my official name is Fancy Fox, but most people just call me Foxy. I really should be called 'Foxy Lady' since the boy dogs seem to really like me. Obviously I am a Husky and I am 15 months old. And currently only 35 lbs. I am a bit skinny and wolfing down the good food at my rescue to gain some weight. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I decide you're ok you will find I am a pretty sweet gal. I like to meet people in a nice quiet place and that's when I shine. If you are patient and gain my trust, I will put my nose in your hand and maybe even you a little kiss.If you think I'm what you're looking for, apply at www.caninecollective.org.
