I have the handsome face of a German Shepherd, the goofiness of a Husky, and I’m a world-class cuddler. I’m great with dogs and cats and love playing with both. I haven’t been around a lot of kids, but I’ve loved the attention from the ones I’ve met. I can be a little shy with new people at first, but I warm up quickly and absolutely LOVE attention. I’m house trained and crate trained and should be crated when left alone. I love treats, squeaky toys, car rides, and especially snuggling up with my human at the end of the day. Right now, I’m finishing treatment for heartworms and I’ll need to stay on activity restriction until about mid-September while I recover. Because I’ve had to take it easy, I haven’t had much practice with walks yet, so I may need a little leash training and socialization once I’m cleared. I’m a smart boy, though, and I think I’ll catch on quickly. Once I get the all-clear, I’ll be SO excited to play with other pups, go for walks, run around, and become someone’s adventure buddy. I could easily see myself becoming the perfect patio pup for those beautiful autumn days. Until then, I’m perfectly happy taking car rides with my ears flopping in the wind, having silly moments with my foster siblings, and cuddling with my people. Could I be your new best friend? Prior to being seized, Sassy lived indoors and never went outside.We have a volunteer who has gone to the shelter and has taken Sassy for walks and reports that Sassy is a wonderful dog! She is good on a leash and loves belly rubs.Sassy needs to be on a strong leash at all times. She gets spooked easily (remember, all of this is new to her) by cars, loud noises, etc.Sassy is approximately 40 pounds. She has been spayed. Amelia an 11yr old husky and is a snuggle bug. I've had her since she was 8wks old. She's house trained, and knows basic commands. Gets excited around cats and small dogs when first meeting them but after being introduced does great with them and is very gentle with children of all ages. No prior health concerns except some stomach problems so she eats a prescription food. I'm unfortunately moving states and cant take her with me. Just looking for a good home for her.
