Story
CinnamonFemaleAge: 1 yearEstimated Full Grown Weight: 40-50 lbsBreed: Husky/Pocket Bully Hi! I’m Cinnamon — sweet, smart, and always ready for fun or snuggles (especially snuggles!). I’m a cuddly puppy with an eager little heart, and I love being around people, kids, and other dogs. Whether it’s playtime or quiet time, I’m happiest when I get to share it with someone I love. I’m house trained, crate trained, and I walk very nicely on a leash. I haven’t spent much time around cats yet, so I’m not sure what I think of them, but with a careful introduction, who knows? I might do just fine. I adore bones, toys of every kind, and anything that lets me play, learn, or chew happily. I’m a very smart girl with a big eagerness to learn new things — training sessions are actually one of my favorite activities because I get to use my brain and make you proud. But my number one favorite thing in the whole world? Cuddling. If there’s a soft blanket, a comfy couch, or a warm lap, you can bet I’ll be right there curling up beside you. I’m a loving, intelligent puppy with so much joy to give. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who’s equal parts playful, bright, and affectionate, I’d love to be your new best friend. If you are interested in meeting Cinnamon apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org. To help me find the perfect match, I’m eligible for Cause for Canines’ Trial Adoption Program! This gives approved adopters a chance to get to know me in their home before making things official. You must be an approved adopter to participate. Adoption fee: $395. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5 or older. ##2581420##

Story
Sir WalterMaleAge: 9 yearsWeight: 65.4 lbsBreed: Husky Hello there, I’m Sir Walter. I like to think my name suits me—I’m a well-mannered, friendly, and easygoing gentleman. Life doesn’t need to be complicated. Give me a comfortable home, a nice porch to sit on, and some good company, and I’m perfectly happy. I get along well with other dogs and cats, and I’m polite with everyone I meet. I haven’t spent much time around kids, so I’m not quite sure what I think of them yet, but I’m such a gentle soul that I tend to take things in stride. I’m crate trained, though I don’t actually need to be crated when you leave the house. I’m trustworthy and calm when I’m on my own. I would do best in a stand-alone home with a fenced backyard, because I really enjoy having a yard to look out over and explore. One of my favorite things in the world is simply sitting on the back porch and watching the yard. The breeze, the smells, the quiet—it’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon. I also enjoy walks and car rides, though I prefer them on the shorter side since I tire out pretty easily. Now, about treats… apparently in my previous life I was introduced to something called people food. I must admit, it left quite an impression. My current people have tried giving me dog treats, but I’m not entirely convinced they’re the same thing. I’m still figuring those out. When it’s time to play, my favorite toy is my Lamb Chop stuffed toy. That little friend has a special place in my heart. I’m not much of a cuddler, but I do like being in the same room as my people. Just knowing you’re nearby is enough for me. I’m a quiet companion who enjoys sharing space and keeping you company. I also seem to have a soft spot for the guys. I absolutely adore men and feel very comfortable around them, so I may have had a gentleman as my person before. Overall, I’m just a calm, gentle, well-mannered dog looking for a peaceful home where I can enjoy the simple things—porch sitting, short walks, car rides, and being near my favorite people. If you’re looking for the perfect laid-back companion, I’d be honored to be your Sir Walter. If you are interested in meeting Sir Walter apply to adopt him at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $195. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5 or older. ##2668595##

Story
Jam is a 14-year-old Siberian Husky who has been part of our family since he was a puppy. We got him from a breeder, and over the years he has grown into a calm, gentle companion with a very relaxed personality. Unlike the typical high-energy husky, Jam is extremely mellow. He loves to lounge around the house and can often be found curled up sleeping, like a cat. While he enjoys going outside, he prefers slow wandering and sniffing around at his own pace rather than high-energy play. He is especially wonderful with kids. His calm temperament and gentle nature make him a great family dog. We are hoping to find Jam a loving new home because our family will be moving to Houston this summer. With his age, the high temperatures there and the added cost of transporting him have become concerns for us. We believe it would be in his best interest to remain here in a cooler climate where he can stay comfortable in his senior years.

Story
Aurora is a sweet-natured, gentle and social lady. She offers soft body language and readily greets people with a smile and gentle tail wags. On leash, true to the breed, she can pull strongly and does better in front-attaching harness. Aurora does check in with her person and enjoys eating tasty treats. When meeting new dogs, she displayed social and neutral body language. She previously lived with other dogs and will likely do fine with other mellow dogs after proper introductions. Aurora appears to be a Siberian Husky, however without a DNA test we cannot confirm that she`s a purebred. She is approximately 6 years young and currently weighs 62 pounds.
