Story
🌸 Meet Arden — From Barely Surviving to Her First Walk 🌸This is Arden, a 10-year-old mama who’s learning that life doesn’t have to hurt. She was rescued after giving birth to 8 puppies. She was found in critical condition with infected wounds that required emergency surgery and days of intensive hospital care. Her babies were bottle-fed around the clock while she fought to recover. She’s met other animals in her foster home, including the cat who has appointed himself the official welcome committee for every new foster, along with 3 other dogs. She’s figured out that couches are for sleeping on (not just looking at), and is slowly realizing that gentle hands mean good things. Her healing journey isn’t finished, but she’s already showing us who she really is: resilient, trusting, and ready for more.If you’re looking for a dog who knows what matters and won’t take a single good day for granted — she might be your girl. 💕Apply to meet Arden at ricopetrecovery.org. The adoption fee for Arden is $200. She has been spayed and is up to date on vaccines.

Story
Sassy is currently at county pound but we will pull her if we can find a foster.Sassy and 8 other dogs were taken from abusive owners.  Prior to being seized, Sassy lived indoors and never went outside. We have a volunteer who has gone to the shelter and has taken Sassy for walks and reports that Sassy is a wonderful dog!  She is good on a leash and loves belly rubs.Sassy needs to be on a strong leash at all times.  She gets spooked easily (remember, all of this is new to her) by cars, loud noises, etc.Sassy is approximately 40 pounds.  She has been spayed.  Sassy lived with dozens of cats prior to being seized and taken to the shelter.Apply to foster Sassy and help her learn to trust people and gain confidence at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
Keeba is an almost 13, Husky/Golden Retriever mix. He’s a kind, gentle soul who loves affection. You wouldn’t guess his age—he still gets bursts of energy and does "zoomies" in the yard with his sister (Missy). He’s very easygoing, does well with cats and kids, and has had limited exposure to other dogs but has a calm, beta personality when he meets them.He is incredibly sweet and bonded with Missy so we would love to see them go to the same home if possible but will consider splitting them up if we need to. They have been together pretty much their whole lives.

Story
WoofflesMaleAge: 1 yearWeight: 46 lbsBreed: German Shepherd/Husky Hi, I’m Wooffles! I’m a silly, loving guy looking for my best friend. I have the handsome face of a German Shepherd, the goofiness of a Husky, and I’m a world-class cuddler. I’m great with dogs and cats and love playing with both. I haven’t been around a lot of kids, but I’ve loved the attention from the ones I’ve met. I can be a little shy with new people at first, but I warm up quickly and absolutely LOVE attention. I’m house trained and crate trained and should be crated when left alone. I love treats, squeaky toys, car rides, and especially snuggling up with my human at the end of the day. Right now, I’m finishing treatment for heartworms and I’ll need to stay on activity restriction until about mid-September while I recover. Because I’ve had to take it easy, I haven’t had much practice with walks yet, so I may need a little leash training and socialization once I’m cleared. I’m a smart boy, though, and I think I’ll catch on quickly. Once I get the all-clear, I’ll be SO excited to play with other pups, go for walks, run around, and become someone’s adventure buddy. I could easily see myself becoming the perfect patio pup for those beautiful autumn days. Until then, I’m perfectly happy taking car rides with my ears flopping in the wind, having silly moments with my foster siblings, and cuddling with my people. Could I be your new best friend?  Interested in meeting Wooffles? Apply to adopt him at www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $350 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children in the home must be age 5 or older. ##2734605##

Story
This is a very difficult decision, but I'm looking for a loving, caring, and responsible home for my dog, Foxy. He is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves being around people, playing outside, and going on daily walks. Foxy is kid-friendly and has been raised around my 10-year-old stepson and my 16-month-old son since he was a puppy. He is fully potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside by sitting at the door, staring at you, or whining. Due to balancing two jobs and caring for my family, I can no longer give Foxy the time and attention he deserves. My only goal is to find him a family who will love him as much as we do. If possible, I would truly appreciate occasional updates on how he's doing. Thank you for considering giving Foxy the loving forever home he deserves.

Story
She was adopted, don’t know anything about her previous life but she’s a really sweet dog, energetic, funny and loves cuddles. She’s estimated 2 years old. I would love for her to go to a home that has a big yard or she can get daily exercise.
