You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $275 plus taxBertrand is very mild mannered and plays well with other dogs although can get a little over excited when playing outside. He has shown interest in chasing cats. He is houstrained and well behaved when left non crated.  Bertrand recently had a tumor removed from his back leg. The tumor is called a mast cell tumor and is luckily considered 'low grade' meaning that it is unlikely to recur or spread to other parts of the body. Even tho recurrence is unlikely it is still possible so Bertrand will need to be closely monitored for new bumps and have them removed as an extra precaution. He has fully recovered from his surgery and is a happy go lucky boy who says to heck with cancer!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Hello, I am Rambo!!  I am a Jack Russell mix born approximately 9/24/22.  My favorite thing to do is run and play - I like to explore everything and I am very smart!  I am potty trained and haven't had an accident in the house at all!  I stay in my kennel when my foster mom is at work during the day and that is where I sleep at night too. I love my kennel but don't always want to go in it because I would much rather stay out and play so I am working on being more cooperative when it is kennel time. I have not been around cats but I do have a foster brother about my size that I get along great with. I have also been introduced to young kids and other small dogs and get along with them fine also. My other foster brother is a 55 pound lab and I don't have much of a problem with him as long as one of us is in a kennel.  I have a good appetite and will eat just about anything but I do get a little upset when my foster mom gets too close to me if I am eating or having a treat (no aggression towards other dogs while I am eating - I am just afraid my food or treat is going to get taken away but I am learning fast that I don't need to be so protective!).  I love walks, car rides and I am always active playing with things or running around in the backyard but I do love to cuddle at the end of the night and look forward to cuddling with you!! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 4:02 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Alejandro was found in a very bad situation.  Abuse and neglect were suspected.  He has learned to trust humans again.  He is good with other calmer dogs and dog savvy cats.   Noises and fast movements used to cause him to pee... so patience and love is what he needs as he may digress for a short time with a transition but he has been perfect in is current home.  Training would be great to help give him some added confidence.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Alejandro “Alle”  is white and golden brown with a heart shaped mark on his left side. He is house trained, crate trained but sleeps on his dog bed without any problems. Alle has a lot of energy and is always up for a walk (long or short). He is friendly with other dogs (no matter the size) and children. He loves to snuggle on your lap and play with his toys.  He loves toys; plush ones are his favorite. He likes tummy rubs as well. . He is truly a wonderful little dog with a big personality. He has overcome being wary of people and enjoys their attention. Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 25, 2024, 11:44 pm

Helloooo world!  My name is Betty and I am a playful, uncoordinated little fluffer of a dog!  I gallop when I run, I take flying leaps into your chest for snuggles, and I rub my face on the floor when I play with my toys. Speaking of toys, do you have any?  Because I love them all!  My foster mama is teaching me fetch and I think that’s the BEST.  Have you played that before?  So.Fun!  But give me any toy and I will jump for joy! My foster mom says I’m still working on my leash manners because I “sniff and stroll”, whatever that means.   I guess lollygagging is not part of her plan and I want to smell everything!  Apparently no one told her to live in the moment and smell the roses.  Because THAT is what I’m doing!  I’m also smelling the tree…and the sticks…every rock…that leaf in the wind…ooo look a butterfly!  I really like it when she takes me for car rides.  My ears flap in the wind and that makes me so happy!  PS:  I also like to sniff the air.  So fresh! I overhear my foster mom telling people how smart I am.  I put my tiny feet on the door to signal you I need to go outside.  I try to get up on the furniture, but I’ve been told NO (insert eye roll here) so I’ve learned that word very quickly.  And I now know that I need to sit like a good girl when it’s time to put on my leash. A few other nuggets on Betty: Prey Drive:  Betty seems uninterested in small critters during her “sniff and stroll” time, but not has been cat tested. Is Betty vocal?  Yes.  She alerts to new people quite a bit, although she warms quickly. Kennel Training:  Betty is kenneled during the workday but does not sleep in her kennel. Other Dogs:  Betty does great with other dogs!  To date she has only been exposed to dogs her own size. Children:  Due to Betty's energy level, it is recommended Betty be placed in a home with older children. She can be hesitant of new people  and slow to warm up, but with a bit of patience (and treats!) she comes around. Betty has brought a lot of joy to her foster home with her happy personality and goofy character.  She is very playful and would make a wonderful addition to any family!   ##2077140##

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  Meet Nora! Hey there, I’m Nora, and I’m the perfect blend of sweet and silly! Whether it’s cuddling up with you on the couch, playing a game of fetch, or running around with a stuffed toy, I’m your girl. I make fast friends with everyone I meet—young or old, human or canine. If you’ve got belly scratches or playtime to offer, I’m all in! I absolutely love companionship, so I’d be happiest in a home where my person can spend time with me throughout the day. Having another pup to run and wrestle with would be a dream come true! While I love romping around outside, I’m still figuring out how to make the outdoors my primary potty spot. I’ll need a patient caregiver who can help me with this training. I’ve come to learn that my crate is a cozy place to sleep at night, but I wouldn’t mind snuggling up in bed with you either. One look into my loving eyes, and I’m sure you’ll be smitten. I can’t wait to meet you and become your new best friend! Love, Nora All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2085325##

Story
Meet Milo, an adorable 13-year-old senior dog! Milo and Daphne came into rescue as their previous owner passed away. Although he might be a bit older, Milo still has lots of love and affection to give to his forever family. He would be the most successful in a home with no cats, dogs, and with a fence, preferably a privacy fence. He does not jump fences, but does bark and growl at other dogs so it would be best if he does not have to interact with other dogs. Milo is the perfect companion for someone looking for a more low-key, yet affectionate dog.He loves to cuddle and snuggle. He is used to being alone at home. Milo is very loyal and will stick by your side through thick and thin. He would do best in a calm and quiet home where he can take life at his own pace. Milo may have a hard time getting along with other dogs, but he's sure to steal your heart with his charming personality and loving nature! He is not a fan of fireworks and thunderstorms so he does have an anti-anxiety medication he takes as needed. *More information and photos added over time. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/forms/ FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please fill out our application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/foster-application/ YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Story
I truly love Buddy. As a veteran with PTSD, he's helped immeasurably with my ability to cope during times of regression. He loves with all of his heart. It honestly breaks my heart having to write this but we have a 7-month old in the house and he's scared and tends to show aggression when startled. We have to give him up due to a newborn in our home. He has nipped at younger children when they approach and probably has a history of being treated poorly. He was found abandoned in a Costco parking lot over 6 years ago. He has a lot of anxiety and is best in a home with one or two people. He will attach himself to one person and be very protective of that person. He is not getting the attention he wants right now as we focus on our baby. He loves to go for walks and play with his ball. We will truly miss him. I recommend someone who has experience with high anxiety dogs and someone who either lives alone or with a partner. He loves to cuddle and sleep underneath the sheets.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Bailey is a sweet, 3 year old mixed breed, guesses on the breed mix, Rat Terrier or JRT/Beagle/Whippet? (guessing!) She is a very sweet girl, has lived with other dogs, but is better with dogs her size or bigger and maybe better to mix with males. She was a little dominant with a smaller, meeker female than her (Terrier!? ) So best with perhaps male or larger, males or can be a solo dog. Interested in adopting?
