You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Meet Eloise, an adorable female terrier mix with a heart full of potential! This sweet girl is looking for a loving home where she can thrive and build her confidence. While she can be shy around new people, Eloise truly shines in her familiar environment. At home, she's a cuddly companion who loves head scratches and will gently nudge you for a quick hug. Eloise is a social butterfly when it comes to her canine friends! She adores playing with dogs of all sizes, and their presence helps her blossom into a more confident pup. With her keen intelligence, she loves to explore and will often jump up to find the best lookout spots, keeping an eye on the world around her. This clever girl has a big appetite and has been known to sneak a few bites from her friends’ kennels—after all, sharing isn't her favorite thing! For this reason, she prefers to eat in her kennel, where she feels safe and secure. Eloise is kennel trained and is making great strides in her potty training journey. She enjoys quiet, leisurely walks on a leash and is learning to embrace the great outdoors. Eloise's journey of self-discovery is ongoing, and each day she becomes more confident and curious about the world. Eloise would thrive best in a home with another dog to keep her company, and while she's unsure about cats, she may be able to adapt. Given her gentle nature, a home without young children would be ideal. If you're looking for a loving companion to share your life with, consider opening your heart to Eloise. She dreams of becoming a cherished family member and is ready to fill your home with joy! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.        Meet Nola, a sweetheart with the soul of a poet and the ears of a stuffed animal. She’s still figuring out life’s big mysteries—like where the best sunbeam naps happen and why squeaky toys are so thrilling. Don’t let her tiny frame fool you; Nola is a gentle powerhouse of love, snuggles, and polite tail wags. She’s never barked a day in her life (she’s more of a silent film actress), but she’ll happily cuddle up next to a chicken, a cat, or a kind kid like she’s known them forever. While she’s still working on potty training and has no clue what a leash is for, she’s a fan of the great fenced-in outdoors and would thrive in a home with another small-ish dog who shares her love of frolicking and napping. If you have patience, soft blankets, and a lap in need of a devoted fluffball, Nola is ready to become your tiniest, kindest, most loyal sidekick. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Hi!  My name is Alfredo and I am about 2 years old.  I am a Jack Russell Terrier mix and have super soft hair and weigh about 17 pounds.  I am SUPER friendly and good with other dogs and cats.  I love going outside in the backyard and investigating everything!  I love going for walks and I am a good walker. I am kennel trained and house trained and I do very well in my kennel which is where I sleep and spend my time when my foster family is at work and school.  I am quiet in my kennel and at night but my favorite spot to sleep is in bed with my foster humans!  I love to play with all kinds of toys but my favorites are the squeaky ones!  I am not very loud and do not bark a lot and I am actually kind of shy until I get to know you. I love belly rubs and I would love to meet you and show you what a good cuddler I can be!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Guerita, or Rita for short, is a light blonde Terrier mix pup (hence the name Guerita). She arrived with her mom and siblings in Minnesota from Mexico on June 21st. She came in weighing a little over 5 pounds at 10 weeks old. She is a little shy but wants to learn and explore. She may hang back a bit while watching the action before joining in. She loves cuddles and giving kisses. She has done well for car rides and has used a backpack carrier since she is on the small side. She does well with other dogs and kids. She has had limited exposure to cats as the resident cats stay clear of the pup fosters. Who wants to give this lovable girl a place to call home?  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. Story
Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a scruffy wire-hair Terrier mix. We think she is a Border Terrier mix dog. She is 3-years old and weighs about 50 pounds. She is not a big shedding dog and now that she has been in the rescue, her coat looks gorgeous and is filled in. When she came in she was thin and her coat wasn’t as full and beautiful as it is now. She is good with many dogs but not all. She would love to be in a family that is outdoorsy and fun and we think she would love to be the only dog and get all the attention. She pulls on lead when we first get her out of her kennel but she does settle down nicely. She didn’t jump up on us and is a well rounded dog. She is confident and will be fine as an only dog. She is good in her kennel and in car rides. She came in with another dog named that was also a scruffy terrier. He has been adopted and she is now waiting for her opportunity for a new forever home. She is a great dog and will make some lucky family a great companion. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
