Gracie came into rescue in Texas with her puppies, and now that her momma duties are behind her, she’s ready to discover what it means to simply be a spoiled, loved, and cherished dog. Gracie is a sweet, shy, low-energy girl who is still coming out of her shell. Buddy is a young Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mix puppy with floppy ears, bright eyes, and enough enthusiasm to power a small city! This happy-go-lucky boy loves everyone he meets and is always ready for an adventure, whether it's a long walk, a game of tug, or a romp with his dog friends. Buddy is doing great with potty training and has had no accidents in his foster home. Like any puppy, he's still learning his manners and will need continued training, especially on leash walking. He can be vocal when excited and is a world-class chewer, so plenty of toys and bones are a must! This social butterfly would love an active family that can keep up with his playful energy. Zena is a friendly, affectionate, high-energy girl who is always ready for a little fun and adventure. She absolutely loves to run and play, but once the excitement is over, she’s just as happy to settle in beside her people for some serious snuggle time. Zena would thrive with an active family or person who can give her plenty of exercise, consistency, training, and appropriate outlets for her energy. She’s an enthusiastic girl with lots of love to give, and having a routine and opportunities to stay busy will help her thrive. Zena is good with kids and enjoys spending time with other dogs, although she can occasionally get a little jealous when she has to share her people. She’s very loving and wants to be close to the people she trusts. One important thing her future family needs to know is that Zena can jump fences and loves to run. Historically, when she has gotten out, she has returned home, but that is still a risk that her new family will need to prepare for, especially while she is settling into a new environment. Mira may be a older girl with a few extra pounds and a signature little waddle, but don't let that fool you—this gentle soul is full of love and still has plenty of happy moments to share. She can be a bit shy at first, but she's never afraid of people. In fact, she's happiest when she's close to her favorite person. If you sit down, don't be surprised if Mira slowly makes her way over and climbs right up your chest just to be near you. She isn't much of a kisser (at least not yet!), but she has her own quiet way of showing affection. She'll follow you from room to room, nap nearby on the couch or in bed, and simply enjoy being part of whatever you're doing. She would happily accompany you everywhere, but she's also content relaxing at home while you're away. Mira is a wonderfully low-energy companion. Because of her sore knees, extra weight, and a heart murmur that causes an occasional cough, she prefers leisurely strolls over long adventures. Most of the time, she's perfectly happy sniffing every blade of grass in the yard or curling up with one of her beloved chew treats, which she proudly carries back to her bed to enjoy. Every now and then, though, her playful side peeks through. She'll drop into the cutest little play bow—as if she's about to zoom away—only to wait for you to come "catch" her. It's impossible not to smile at her adorable antics. Mira has lovely manners around the house and appears to have lived in a home before. She's house-trained, does well when left alone, enjoys relaxing in a fenced yard, and greets new people with quiet acceptance (especially if they come bearing belly rubs!). Even the Fourth of July fireworks didn't seem to bother this easygoing girl. Sadie is very sweet. She is 9yrs old. She is hesitant at first to meet strangers. Let her sniff your hand before trying to pet her and she warms up quickly. Sadie is kennel trained and potty trained. Doesn't bark except when someone comes to the door.She likes to take walks and people watch.She doesn't play with toys very long. Likes a good chew bone and a cozy quiet place to nap.She would do better in a home with older kids.I have supplies and food for her.
