WEIGHT: ~50lbs.*ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED by Jolie and Dan Perla-Sanders*Meet Chardonnay- Chardonnay isn't much of a wine drinker, and even if she were, she'd much prefer something a little more juicy than an oaky Chard. Even so, she is looking forward to growing into her name and hopes to do it justice. Until then, she is resolved to throwing an ice cube or two into her metaphorical glass and making the best of it. Chard has all of the markers of an overgrown puppy; jumpy, mouthy, and ready to have a good time. She is a smart girl and has been learning much from our Behaviorist since being here at the shelter. Shelter staff have every reason to believe that she will grow into a lovely dog with consistent positive reinforcement training, plenty of exercise, and a cozy home. Miss Thing has met other dogs here at the shelter, and while she has made some good friends (*cough *cough, Handsome), her rough and tumble in-your-face play style isn't for everyone. Energetic dogs who can match her energy would suit her well, but she may be too much for those who would rather laze around in the sun unbothered. Think you might be the one to help Chardonnay mature like a fine wine? Call our adoptions desk or feel free to stop by the shelter during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.

WEIGHT: ~68lbs.Meet Sharpie- Sharpie has major ‘leading man' energy going on. He's dark and mysterious. He's got a serious face and a strong stoic figure. Like most leading men, Sharpie has been keeping his cards close, so we don't know a ton about his personality just yet. What we do know is that he is a sweet guy who does well on walks and is polite with volunteers and staff. Once you get him out of his kennel, he is full of excitement and tail wags. Given his size and strength, Sharpie is looking for an adopter that can handle him physically and is up for plenty of outdoors-y activities. Shelter staff feel confident that once placed in a home and given decompression time and a consistent routine, Sharpie's character will continue to develop and grow. So, are you looking for a new leading man in your life? If so, call our adoptions desk or feel free to stop by the shelter during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.

Story
Robie is a 5 year old black lab mix who is sweet as can be. He was an only dog, though had many doggy 'cousins' who visited often. He has been loved dearly since he was first adopted by my in-laws as a puppy. Their situation has changed and he has more energy than they can handle. Robie loves people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. He loves to run! He is crate trained and can handle a couple of hours at a time, but more than anything he loves being with people. He will hang out under your desk while you work or join you outside. He is good in a car. Robie gets nervous when other dogs or delivery people approach the house. He also gets nervous when he is in the car and approaches a familiar destination. When he is nervous, he will whine, whimper and sometimes bark. He is a joy to run and play with and has amazing athletic talent! He can jump our 4 foot fence. He is easy to train with treats. We walk him with a gentle leader so he doesn't pull. Happy to chat!

Story
Introducing Scooter, a young pup waiting for his forever home. Scooter was adopted for a few days but with the busy nature of the owner he felt he would not be able to home enough to give Scooter the attention and care he needed to be a happy pup. Previous owner had nothing but great notes for Scooter: He is sweet, affectionate and loves to play. We couldn’t agree more, we love to add he walks well on the leash and seems to be considerate to be close to people when his leash tangles. Also loves children!Interested in meeting me? Please visit our adoption center located at 12425 Monterey Rd in San Martin anytime during open hours (12-6pm weekdays, 12-5 pm weekends). No appointment is necessary and there is no pre-application process.
