Story
Woof I'm Cody ! I am looking for a quiet home where I can relax in a sunbeam and be your faithful companion. I might seem a little shy right now but when you spend some time with me you'll learn what a wonderful and loving companion I am. I really love chasing balls and playing with toys. Do you want to play with me? I was a stray in Pacific Grove when the SPCA rescued me. I am a little shy and would prefer to live in a house without kids under 12 years old. Cody is currently available by appointment. Please call (831)264-5422 to learn more about him. Primary Color: Chocolate Weight: 60 Age: 1yrs 10mths 3wks

Story
Looks like: Labrador Retriever mix Male, 6 years old (estimated), 56 pounds Neptune is an out of this world character! Don't let his age fool you, this incredibly sweet guy has so much energy, you'd think he's trying to bounce up to touch the moon! Neptune is searching for a family who can handle his incredible strength and will need to be a strong leash handler for walks. Neptune does tend to jump on people, so he will need a bit of training and guidance to control his excitement! Training can be such a fun way to bond with your next family member! He already knows some fun commands and can sit, lay down, shake, and even stay on command as long as you have some yummy treats to reward him with! He gets along great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, but he does seem to have a prey drive, so a home free of kitties may be best. We don't know how he does yet with children. This sweet boy joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after he was found as a stray.

Story
Looks like: Labrador Retriever Mix Male, 13 years old (estimated), 72 pounds Buddy Holly is a dapper gentleman who, like his namesake's music, is all about love! Buddy is as sweet as can be and loves making new friends, canine and human alike. In true Lab fashion, he's all smiles and is pretty food obsessed! Did you say treat? Buddy is bound to be your best friend if you have treats! We're not sure how he is with cats or kids yet, but judging by how much he loves full-sized humans, we think he would do just fine in a home with children. This sweet guy was taken to SPCA of Monterey County when his senior guardian passed away. They reached out to us for help finding this sweet senior boy his forever home.

Story
Looks like: Labrador Retriever mix Female, 7 years old (estimated), 60 pounds Magnificent Mihla is a sweet lady with lots of love to give! She loves to go on walks or outings in the car. She gets along great with other dogs, but we aren't sure quite yet how she interacts with children or kitties. The SPCA of Monterey County reached out to us for help because Mihla was becoming increasingly stressed in the shelter environment. She was a favorite among many volunteers who worked with her at the SPCA, so how could we resist?

Story
Looks like: Labrador Retriever mix Male, 10 years old (estimated), 53 pounds In many ways, Finn is a quintessential Lab mix. This sweet goof wants to be where the people are, whether that means going on an adventure or lazing about on the couch. Despite his senior dog status, he's got plenty of energy to burn. But, in other ways, Finn is uniquely himself. He always wants to stop and smell the roses on walks (literally), and if you have treats and love (and more treats), he'll never leave your side. Finn was recently treated at our Monterey vet clinic for a mass and some hair loss. He will require additional vet trips to ensure he's on the mend properly. This lovable guy is working on reducing his leash reactivity, and we're excited to share the tools of his continued success. Finn does have experience coexisting with cats and has done well with other dogs in our program, but we have not yet seen him interact with kids. This adorable guy joined POMDR from Santa Cruz County Animal Services after he was found as a stray.

Story
Awhoooo! I'm Emilio! I'm a 2 year old, neutered male, 60 pound Chocolate Lab/Pit Bull mix and I'm excited to meet you! I'm a very affectionate boy but I can come on a bit strong. It's only because I'm so stoked to see you! I love giving hugs and will try to sit on you. I also love to run, sniff, jump -- and did I mention jumping?! I'm super great at it. My buddies here at PHS tell me there are times jumping is not appreciated, and I'm doing my best to learn manners. I will need extra help from my new family with ongoing training. My ideal home will be with adults who are ready to devote lots of time and energy giving me love, training and exercise. I would do best in a home where I am the only pup for now. Since I'm not always sure who I can give high fives too, I would do best in a home with adults only. I can't wait to be your forever faithful adventure buddy!
