Rhyno-18 month old black lab blend. Neutered- Hi! My name is Rhyno! I’m an 80 lb. neutered lab mix boy that’s 18 months old, full of puppy energy, and up-to-date on all my vaccines and preventatives. My biggest goal in life is to please my person, so I learn quick. I’m house and crate trained, and walk well on a leash. I live to give kisses and to receive belly rubs! In short, I’m a big lovebug! In Texas, I was picked up as a stray with a broken jaw. The shelter tried to stabilize it but was unsuccessful. After a couple of months in the shelter, my jaw healed on its own, albeit a bit crooked. My foster mom says it gives my face character. I enjoy other dogs, but a home with small children probably wouldn’t be a good fit for me as I don’t realize how big I am. Will you give me a forever home to love and be loved in? He’s a bouncy, happy boy who thrives on playtime and would be overjoyed to have a doggy sibling to wrestle and romp around with. He’s at his best with larger dogs who can keep up with his playful spirit, though confident smaller pups are welcome too! During his recovery, Smokey stayed with our Behaviorist, where he not only healed but also polished up his doggy manners. He’s eager to keep learning and would thrive with an active family that enjoys walks, beach outings, and training adventures. Mochi is a 1-yr old tan/yellow color labrador retriever puppy (date of birth: 11/12/2024). He is a purebred with AKC registration. We got him from a breeder in Indiana in January 2025 (2-day travel to California~). Mochi is a fully-vaccianated and healthy dog. Mochi is very friendly, energetic, and excellent with children. He also plays well with other dogs and cats. He has been a cherished member of our family. Unfortunately, due to some recent work change (not able to work from home anymore) and increasing work/school commitments from all family members, we sadly realized that we are no longer able to give Mochi enough time and attention he needs. We feel bad to let him be bored. He deserves a better home that can spend more time with him for play and outdoor activities. Mochi would be an incredibly good friend for your family!

12/03/25What did we do on today’s adventure:I’m always excited to get out of my small kennel. It has been lonely since Squishy, my bonded furry friend got rescued without me. This time I sensed adventure as I am being fitted with harness! I let many human friends try to adjust my harness and in return got treats! I quickly jumped into the car when the back door opened and although I was nervous and anxious during the ride, I welcomed sunshine and crisp cold air when I arrived at the park! I saw a few squirrels and wanted to give chase but my human told me that they are friends and I left them alone. I was so overwhelmed by the new environment that I nervously reacted when I saw cyclists zooming towards me. Runners jogging towards me made menervous as well as I felt they were going to chase me. My human friend noticed this and helped me get pass my big emotions by distracting me or asking the other humans and dogs to give me plenty of space to pass safely. Other than that, I am an adventurer! I loved going down to the cold streams and licking the fresh dew off the green grass. A couple of human friends who walked pass me commented that I was a very cute dog! I wish I could’ve shown them my skills at catching treats thrown mid air and my powerful snuggles! We completed nearly 5 miles of trail adventures and I wish I could go for more soon.What should potential adopters know about me:Shiloh needs help regulating his big feelings when encountering dogs on leash or fast moving (runners, joggers, cyclists) objects. He would strive with calm environment and patience from his people as he learns to feel safe. He was found as stray with a bonded chihuahua who left the shelter so he would benefit from love, patience and structure from experienced dog owners who is willing to work with him.Three words to describe me:Playful, intense, loving
