Story
Meet Dixie! Dixie is an approximately 1½-year-old female Lab mix with a heart as big as her long, lanky legs. Weighing about 50 pounds, she’s built for fun—whether that’s running in the yard, going for adventures, or simply being close to her favorite people. Dixie is spayed and incredibly sweet, affectionate, and gentle. She’s wonderful with kids and gets along well with other dogs, making her a great addition to a family. She truly loves being around people and thrives when she’s included in everyday life. Although Dixie has spent most of her time as an outdoor dog, she would much prefer to live inside with her family where she can soak up attention and love. She’s a smart girl who will benefit from continued training and structure as she settles into home life. With a little guidance and consistency, Dixie has all the makings of a loyal, loving companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, happy dog who’s ready to be part of the family, Dixie may be your girl. ##2678395##

Story
Marley is a very sweet, low energy girl. She loves the outdoors and will sit and sniff the air all day if you let her. She likes daily walks, if possible. She does not like loud noises such as fireworks and excessive barking of other dogs. We have a little Morkie, (Leo) who has a high pitched bark. This has been problematic in that when Leo starts barking, Marley becomes very anxious and has nipped Leo. Because of this, when we leave home, they have to be separated , and when we're home we have to quickly separate the two as soon as little Leo starts what we call "screaming". They fight over toys outside, and have since they were puppies. I'd like to find a home for Marley where she is the only pet and can feel safe and loved. She and Leo do love one another, but due to the reactivity to noise, I just have to monitor them so closely. The main reason for rehoming Marley, though, is that I have medical issues, and travel for surgeries. It's always so difficult finding reliable sitters.

Story
I Love My Dog! Despite this, my busy schedule is not allowing me to give him the love and care he deserves. My kids are grown and/or gone and my new place isn’t suitable for him to thrive in. Blue is a typical Labrador, he loves people & kids. But he is NOT good with other dogs. My hope is that he is paired with a family/individual that has patience and can ease him out of it. I’ve had Blue since he was a couple days out. He is a pure chocolate Lab. When he was about 1 1/2 he was attacked by another neighborhood dog, and while it left no permanent physical damage it did make him think every dog was going to do that. So his reaction when he sees any other dog is intense. He turned 3 June 21st & just like most Labs he just wants attention, to jump on you and to have fun. He has never been fully trained so he is a little unruly. But he doesn’t use the bathroom inside ever. As long as he is taken out twice a day he won’t have any accidents. You must be Lover of dogs to adopt my Blue!!

Story
We adopted Pal from our local shelter when he was about a year old, almost 7 years ago now. Pal grew up with our two daughters, a "brother dog," and a "sister cat." He's super sweet-natured and gentle. Pal is overnight crate-trained (never barks or soils his crate,) and his nice metal crate can come with him. Pal's calm, but he still loves to run and to play. Above all else, Pal loves the water... We have an old family cabin on the lake, and the minute we get there he heads straight for the water; when our family is out swimming, he'll come out with us and just swim circles near us as long as we're in the water. Now, our daughters are both going off to college, and my husband is retiring. My husband and I are planning on moving in July, and we will not be able to take Pal with us. If you think you might be able to be Pal's new family, please let us know... Thank you and God bless!
