Story
Meet Lucy!  Boy oh boy has our Lucy girl changed since being rescued - she’s no longer the scared, shut down girl we saw in the last pic that was sent out by the shelter. Thanks to lots of TLC from her foster and all of her new friends, Lucy has blossomed into a happy fun loving girl! We think Lucy is about 2 - 3 yrs old and just under 50 lbs. She’s great with other dogs but also has an independent side, so she would probably be just fine as an only fur child as well. One thing that Lucy has told us in non-negotiable on her list of adoption requirements- a plethora of tennis balls!! Lucy lives to play ball!! Interested in adopting, or even fostering, Lucy? Story
Meet Banks! Banks was found wandering the countryside along with his sister in a very rural area of Georgia. They were picked up by animal control and taken to the shelter, but despite neighbors reporting who the owners were no one came to claim them Banks is about 3 yrs old and around 80 lbs. This big ol' lab boy has really come out of his shell since being in a foster home! He loves spending these warm spring days outside playing with his friends and lounging in the sun Just like about one out of every three dogs we save from rural areas, Banks did test positive for heartworm disease. No worries though! RMG utilizes a slow kill treatment protocol studied by an Atlanta area veterinary cardiologist. All treatment medications are provided by RMG and after successful treatment, there are typically no lasting health effects  Interested in adoption Big Boy Banks? Story
Meet Bubba!  In early April 2024, someone left their two dogs tied to a post - on the playground at Austin Elementary School in Dunwoody, GA. The dogs had on nice harnesses and collars and were so calm and loving to everyone that approached them. But hours and hours passed, and an awesome woman who had fostered for us in the past and then adopted - stepped in to help. Knowing the overcapacity at the local county shelter, she took them home and registered then through the shelter as a “ friendly finder” - that gets animals those found into the system should an owner come looking, but they don’t have to stay at the shelter. Over a week passed and it was obvious no one was coming to get the boys. Who knows the situation that caused them to abandon the brothers….. but it was just so sad all the way around. Atlanta Lab Rescue even posted them on their page trying to help but  we took ownership and they are in one of our foster homes. We attempted to separate them to see if they could be without each other- but they are truly bonded!  Bubba and Simba are 7-8 years old yellow lab mixes - fully vetted, housebroken, crate trained and know some basic commands. They run outside side by side and if one wanders away, it’s seconds before they are standing by each other again.  So PLEASE HELP us find them a forever home where they NEVER have to be abandoned again. They love toys, other dogs, kids and walks- and car rides ….but they would love to be spoiled rotten in a home, just the two of them! Their foster mom has her hands full and took them in bc it was urgent - so they need a new foster too !   Interested? Story
I adopted Stella 5 years ago from an animal shelter when she was 3 months old. She is a loving, sweet dog who loves to spend time cuddling or outside playing. She listening well, and does not have any behavioral problems. She is energetic, but also is a great partner for hanging out around the house. I am looking for somebody who will have the time to spend with her and allow her to get physical activity each day, as well as just spending time with her each day. A home where she will be loved, taken care of, and looked after well.

Story
A year ago, we adopted Moose (Lab/hound) from the Atlanta Humane Society. He was quiet at first, but as he grew comfortable, his personality slowly came out. As he settled in, we realized just how energetic he truly is. At first, we thought it was puppy energy, but after a year of training, it’s clear this is simply who Moose is: a goofy, people‑loving, dog‑loving, American‑cheese‑obsessed ball of energy. We adore him, but we don’t run, don’t have a yard, and don’t have the time he deserves. Moose needs a family with kids to play with, space to run, and experienced dog owners who can match his energy. He's one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever met. He never meets a stranger, loves cuddles, and is a sucker for sitting on a couch and looking out the window or completely sticking his head out of the car window on car rides. His favorite things are bones and lots of love. We’re hoping to give him the fuller life he deserves.

Story
Leah is a big sweet dog, she has conflict living with her litter mate. This is not her fault! Leah is the recipient of the aggressive siblings harassment, not the instigator! She loves being outdoors, but also likes to chill in the house. She and her sister constantly vie for the alpha position and it has become stressful for Leah and unhealthy for our family. She is friendly as can be with our 3rd dog so I think she could join a household with another dog but ideally Shed be a great addition to a family looking for a single dog. She is gentle with my kids and strangers.she is 8years old but playful like a puppy with no medical issues.

Story
Hi, I’m Wayne. I was adopted from a Walmart parking lot in north Georgia on Thanksgiving in 2019 when I was just 6 weeks old. I usually have 2 modes: down to play ball or chilling in a cozy spot. While I enjoy getting pets, I’m not much of a "cuddler", however I more than make up for it with kisses, enthusiasm, and silly wiggles. I really love having a person to follow, hang with, and adventure alongside. I’ve had training since I was a puppy and I know my basic commands—including place, which I’m very proud of. Structure makes me feel good, and I do best when my boundaries are respected. A few important things about me: I like my personal space and I can resource guard my sleeping area, food, water, and toys. Because of that, I’m not a good fit for homes with puppies, kittens, or small children. My owners recently welcomed a baby, which is why they’re making the incredibly hard decision to rehome me. If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy, I could be your guy.

Story
Seeking a Loving, Stair-Free Home for Hazel 🐾 With a very full heart, I’m helping my sweet girl Hazel look for a new forever home that better meets her current needs. Hazel is a 13-year-old Lab mix who has been an incredibly loyal, gentle, and loving companion. As she’s gotten older, stairs have become increasingly difficult for her, and I now live in a space that requires navigating them daily. Because of this, I’m hoping to find Hazel a safe, ground-level home (or one with minimal steps) where she can be comfortable and continue to enjoy her golden years. She does well with calm environments, loves companionship, and would thrive with someone who has patience and a soft spot for senior pups. Hazel is up to date on care and currently managed with pain medication for arthritis. This is not an easy decision — it’s being made purely out of love and wanting the very best quality of life for her. If you or someone you know may be a good fit, please message me.
