Story
I'm Party! I was rescued with just minutes to spare, and I am so grateful, I show you my gratitude every single day with big party and wet kisses! I am a 10.5-year-old, 53-pound, Labrador/Husky mix with a beautiful, soft fur coat.  I'm also a smart girl and very obedient, but also very playful.  And I don't chew on anything that isn't mine to chew.   Do you like to walk?  Well, I love walks, hikes, and being outdoors with my human.  Are you a runner?  I love to run.  Will you take you with me?  I do prefer being the only pet in a home as other dogs/cats scare me! And while I'd love to have some human siblings, the older ones are best because I'm pretty energetic.  That's not too much to ask, is it?    So what do you say?  Please ome meet me and get one of those big kisses! Story
Hi, I'm Mustang!  I'm a very handsome, 2 year old, lab/pit mix, weighing in around 65 pounds. I have beautiful eyes and a shiny black coat.  My foster mom says I’m a big, energetic, goofy ball of love.  I give lots of kisses and want to be near my people all the time.  I love to sit next to you and put my head in your lap.  One of my most favorite things to do is go outside.  I love to play fetch and tug-of-war, so a fenced backyard to do that would be great.  I love to go on walks or runs.  Once I get my exercise, I am happy to lie at your feet and take a nap. A few other things about me: I'm house trained and crate trained. I'm very smart and motivated by treats.  My favorite treat is ice cubes!  My foster mom says I need to work on my manners and walking on a leash.  Sometimes I am wary of new people and other dogs.  I think my energy may be too much for some dogs and small children.   My ideal adopter would have adults and older kids and be fairly active so I can get my exercise. I may be ok in a home with another well-balanced dog, but would need a slow introduction so we can all get along.  I would love to find a loving forever home where I can thrive and bring years of joy to my new family. For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue. *Some of our animals receive a high volume of applications, and we strive to select the best home for each animal. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi, My name is Lily Anne! I’m just a petite, little 30 pound girl and as sweet as my chocolate color. The perfect size, I’m told. I just love people and want to be at least within sight of wherever you are. I really like playing with doggie friends. Right now, I live with 5 dogs, some who are bigger than me and some smaller than me. We love to wrestle! After that, it’s napping on the couch. I may not sit right next to you on the couch, but I like having you nearby. I enjoy car rides, walks and exploring the backyard. I even know how to use the dog door from the back porch to the yard.  I also know my name (my foster mom calls me “Lily”) and come when I am called. Please don’t leave me home alone, unless I have a doggie friend with me. I get worried when I’m home all alone.    NOTE: Lily is undergoing heartworm treatment and will not be available until Sept. 20.   My foster mom said to tell you these things about me:     1.5 to 2 years old  Does great with people   Dog friendly, does fine with dogs 9 pounds to 75 pounds  Near fully housebroken (gets it quicker when another dog shows her the routine)  Crate trained  (does better when left if another dog is also nearby)  Shy and skittish initially, but warms up and enjoys affection   Medium energy  Petite little girl - only 30 pounds!  A potential runner, at least for now, so she’d be best in a home with only adults or older teenage children so that she doesn’t escape by mistake   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:  Some apartments and neighbo rhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.           May 28, 2023, 12:56 pm

Story
Meet Noni, a very special compact, sweet, and spunky little nugget. She is a smaller girl, less than 40 pounds, with a BIG story to share; there is no dog with more heart, soul, and determination than this nearly three year old little girl. After being hit by a car, Noni was found by a good Samaritan who took her to a very rural vet clinic. She had two broken legs on the same side of her body, and the rear leg was so very badly broken it was uncertain as to whether the leg might need amputation. An emergency plea for a foster went out to all Angels, so a foster could be found and Noni could be brought to Atlanta for specialized evaluation to determine a treatment and care plan. Had an Angel not stepped up, Noni's rear leg would have been immediately amputated. Noni received her own personal Angel to foster her, and thus her long journey began. Once at the vet specialist, surgery was done to treat both legs, and the rear leg had the most extensive surgery with plates and screws to put Noni back together again. After many months of multiple surgeries and several ups and downs during the lengthy recovery process, Noni has recovered nicely, she still has all four legs, and no more plates and screws! She was the most perfect patient, always with a sweet, happy disposition. She never seemed to have a down day, even though at times, she was probably very uncomfortable and in a lot of pain. Noni is crate trained, house broken, and just about darn near perfect. She does get very excited, but she will settle down. She loves toys, particularly her chew toys. She also loves to go on walks, although she still pulls a bit on leash. Because she gets excited and likes to jump right now, she would most likely knock little ones down accidentally, so she might be a better fit right now for children 8+ years old. She rides very well and calmly in a car. She seems to love everything and everybody: people, other dogs. She has never met a stranger. She is working very hard to co-exist peacefully with the resident cat who is very calm around dogs; she is interested and wants to play, but she is easily redirected.  She is very food and treat motivated.  A home with a fenced back yard would probably be best so that she can run around, and then collapse when tired to chew on one of her toys.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
Sweet Emilia is looking for her forever home.  She is a three years young, lab/cattle dog mix, and weighs about 75 pounds. Emilia loves to play. She loves chasing balls and racing with anyone who will race her. She is a big girl and doesn’t always realize how strong she is, so she may be best in a home without small children or small animals. Emilia is a high energy girl and loves her daily walks. She does have a very deep bark and will bark when people come to your home, but don’t let her fool you, she loves attention and immediately rolls over when you start scratching her for belly rubs! Emilia is looking for a home with a fenced yard and a family who can be patient and continue to encourage her good manners. She is house trained and doesn't mind lounging in her crate. Can you give sweet Emilia a place to call home? This super girl can’t wait to find someone that will love her to the moon and back! If you feel you are her furever family, we would love to meet you. Story
Lesa was born Nov 2020 and is an intelligent and obedient Lab/Retriever Mix. She has soulful eyes and is an all-around happy girl! She has medium energy and would love to have someone that will play fetch with her regularly. She is house and crate trained and is currently working on learning her basic commands. Lesa currently lives with an 11yr old child and would do well in a house with kids similar in age or adults. She can be selective about her doggy friends and would do best as the only dog in a house. She has not been cat tested. She&#39s a sweet and affectionate girl that would make a great addition to any family. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, & micro-chipped.May 28, 2023, 12:12 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Rosetta, Rose for short. Rose was born Feb 2014 and is a Georgia red dog who loves her people and follows them everywhere. Some say you can see the hearts coming from her eyes when she looks at her person. She is sweet, calm and well-mannered, although when it is time to come out of her crate, you may hear her bark with excitement. Her ideal forever home would be a calm household with a dog sister, maybe a fenced backyard to explore, but if not, a family that enjoys walking the neighborhood. Rose is crate trained and housebroken, and able to be crated for an entire workday. She is just an incredibly sweet and calm girl who is looking for a family committed to making her an important member of the family.May 28, 2023, 12:12 pm

Story
Nick was born May 2019. He is a big, happy, playful dog who loves nothing more than being with his people. He is intelligent, obedient, and very eager to please. He knows basic commands and has completed professional training (his adopter is welcome to continue follow up training sessions at no charge). He is great on a leash and has nice house manners. He lives in a foster home with other dogs and does well with all of them but he can be dog selective. He will not do well in a home where he is left alone for long periods of time. He absolutely adores the teenage boys in his foster home but would not be suited to a home with small children due to his strength and size. Nick is housebroken, crate trained, neutered, fully vaccinated & microchipped.May 28, 2023, 12:12 pm

Story
Miss P was born July 2016 and is a lab mix. She loves to play and plays rough. She has also never met a dog that she does not like. Miss P is very food motivated and takes treats gently. At night, she enjoys sleeping in the bed with her people. Other activities she enjoys include hunting critters and chewing on her Nyla bones. Right now she pulls on her leash but is working on that. Miss P is very afraid of storms and will need to be crated when one rolls through.May 28, 2023, 12:12 pm

Story
My name is Cap’n Crunch and I was born on 1/31/23 in the back of a car! That’s right, my 8 other siblings and I were born on the way from the shelter to my foster home. I’m an easy going guy.  I am almost completely potty trained and I sleep well overnight in my crate.    I love to cuddle, but I’m also content relaxing on my own. I would do well as an only pet or with a playmate. I’ve even been around cats and don’t mind them at all. I’m a petty simple guy who doesn’t require a lot to be happy!   If I sound like a good fit for your home, please apply to adopt me!
