Tango is an eight-month-old, 43-pound puppy in Lena’s litter of ten puppies. They were surrendered by their owner and on their way to the vet to be euthanized when we intercepted them. Tango fun and playful, he is great with other dogs and has a very happy-go-lucky nature. Like any puppy, he needs some work, but he’s social and loves to please, so training will go fast for someone with time and patience. Story
Mikey is a ten-month-old, 46-pound shepherd mix that was surrendered to a shelter because they were moving. It’s a shame they couldn’t take him with them, but luckily, he barely made it out of the shelter, and we have him now. Mikey is sweet and calm for a young dog. He is playful with other dogs and loves everyone. Mikey is house-trained and crate-trained. If you would like to foster or adopt Mikey, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply. From the Foster: Mikey has a heart as big as his paws. This affectionate boy loves nothing more than being close to his people, and he will happily curl up in your lap if you let him. Mikey is an easygoing companion who can match your lifestyle. He is just as content being a loyal work-from-home buddy as he is joining you for an outdoor adventure or a jog. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has ignored cats on walks. His idea of a perfect day is relaxing in the grass, chewing on a stick, and enjoying your company nearby. Mikey is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and is highly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He is still growing into his body and would thrive with additional training as he matures. ##2484423##

He was adopted before we could rescue him, but wouldn’t you know, he was returned the next day because he was too energetic (adopters were clearly not familiar with a lab). We have him now and he’s a really good dog, that is great with people and other dogs and doesn’t seem to have any more energy than any other goofy one year old lab. Story
Hi, I’m Brooklyn I’ve had a bit of a rough start in life, but I’m doing so much better now. Thanks to my foster family, I’ve gained weight, learned what it feels like to be safe, and discovered that life can be pretty wonderful.I’m a sweet, quiet, and calm girl who loves peaceful moments and gentle company. I live happily with other dogs and get along well with them, making me a great addition to a home with furry friends already in it. I had a short stay with a foster sitter where we found out that I not a great match with cats.I may not be the loudest or flashiest pup in the room, but I have a soft heart and a lot of love to give. I’m ready for a forever home where I can continue to grow, feel secure, and be loved for the good girl I am.If you’re looking for a gentle soul to share your life with, I just might be your Brooklyn!I also qualify for the Welcome Trial program, which means you can take me home for up to 14 days to make sure I’m the perfect fit before making things official.

Story
Meet Birdie, a 6-year-old, 57 lb sweetheart with the happiest smile and the gentlest soul. Birdie joined us after retiring from breeding, and she’s been blossoming more and more each day. She’s doing wonderfully with her housetraining and just needs a patient family to continue cheering her on. She may have an occasional accident here and there, but she’s truly trying and making great progress. Birdie does well in her crate when her people aren’t home. At night, she sleeps loose in her foster parents' bedroom and does beautifully, often choosing her favorite ottoman at the end of the bed as her special spot. While she can be shy at first and needs time to warm up to new people, once you’ve earned her trust, she becomes a total Velcro girl. She’ll quietly stick by your side, happy just to be near you. Mealtime is her favorite time of day, and she loves treats, though if she’s feeling unsure, she’ll politely decline until she feels safe. Birdie has the most adorable personality, making the silliest little noises and howls that will absolutely make you smile. Despite her funny sounds, she’s not a loud dog overall. She has done wonderfully with other dogs. Leash training is coming along nicely, though cars and walking under bridges can still feel a bit scary for her. With gentle encouragement and consistent practice, she’s getting braver every day. Birdie is truly an absolute love. With patience, kindness, and a calm home, she will flourish into the most devoted and loyal companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful girl who will reward your love with endless affection (and the best smile ever), Birdie just might be your perfect match. Birdie REQUIRES a home with another confident dog and a fenced in yard. She would be best suited for a family with children 13 or older because sudden, loud movements scare her. To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $600, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.

Story
Meet Lainey, a 6-year-old, 67 lb Golden girl with a heart as big as her smile. Lainey is super sweet and full of happy energy. She absolutely loves carrying toys around the house like prized possessions and is always up for a game of fetch. (She’s still working on the “drop it so you can throw it again” part, but she’s enthusiastic about the concept!) She may also try to snag a toy from a doggy friend if it looks like they’re having extra fun. This playful girl enjoys her walks and gets very excited when it’s time to head out. Because of her enthusiasm, she’ll need a family that’s mindful at the door -- she’s quick to bolt and can pull hard in her eagerness to get going. With some continued leash work and consistency, she’ll make a wonderful walking buddy. In the mean time, she REQUIRES a fenced in yard. Lainey is also a bit of a digger, especially in non-grassy areas, so she’ll benefit from supervision in the yard and maybe a designated digging spot if you’re feeling creative! The best part? She’s dog-friendly and cat-friendly, making her a great addition to a variety of homes. She has been crate-trained and has done well with house-training in her foster home. Lainey is a loving, toy-obsessed, adventure-ready companion who just needs a family willing to guide her excitement and continue her training. In return, you’ll get endless sweetness, loyalty, and a Golden heart full of love. To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $600, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.
