Rocko is a loyal black lab that loves to go on adventures. we have to rehome him because we have another lab and we can only handle one large dog since we now have a newborn baby in the house. rocko has no issues with kids or people but he needs supervision when being introduced to new dogs. he has lived with his littermate his entire life so he can do well with other dogs, he just needs a gradual introductory period.

Story
Hi! I'm Fancy! Well for now at least. I am not really a "fancy", but my foster mom isn't sure what my name SHOULD be yet and honestly, I'm just happy to be around her so I don't care what she calls me. I will LITERALLY answer to ANY name she calls me! I am a young girl, probably 2-3 years old or so. I weigh 33 pounds and am full grown. I appear to be something called a "Labrador" and a "Whippet". I don't know what that means, but I am a petite muscular girl and I am super athletic. I LOVE my people, but I am scared of strangers. See at one point, I taken in by someone who kept a bunch of dogs and loved us, but couldn't care for us. I was not spayed and so I got pregnant and had to have my babies outside. When my owner had to move, me, my 6 babies, and my 30 or so fellow dogs had to find new places to live. Thankfully FHS was able to take my family and 7 other dogs in. My puppies were all adopted and now it is my turn. However, I had lost my trust of people. I am gaining it back, one person at a time. Once I am comfortable with you and at home, I am HAPPY! I love to play in the yard and run zoomies outside. I am a snuggler and I love scratches from my people. I am very treat motivated and I know exactly what time breakfast and dinner is. I love my fluffy blankets and I will stare my foster mom if my blanket is in the wash. I also LOVE exploring new places , hiking, and going on car rides. I enjoy playing with other dogs and, while I do not need another dog in my forever home, I would do best with a housemate. I do get nervous when my family leaves me behind (I do fine in a crate, but I will bark), but if I have a housemate nearby I am happy. I am not sure if I am good around cats or kids yet. I am mostly housetrained, but I will need a family who can keep on top of it for me. If I need to go and no one is around to listen to my signals, then I will go in my house. I do NEED a fenced in yard. I am very loyal to my person, but I can get scared of new things and new noises so it is safest if I can have a fenced in yard while I am outside. Story
Meet Dave! If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy and cuddle companion all in one, Dave might just be your perfect match! This handsome Chocolate Lab mix is full of love, energy, and personality. He’s happiest when he’s spending time with “his people,” whether that’s heading out for a walk, playing fetch, or curling up together on the couch after a fun day. Dave is a smart, sensitive guy who knows how to communicate what he needs — he’ll “tell” you when it’s time for dinner, playtime, or a good snuggle. While it may take him a little time to settle into a new home and feel completely comfortable, your patience will be rewarded with trust, loyalty, and a whole lot of affection. He’d thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and attention. Once he feels secure, Dave will show you what a devoted, loving companion he can be. Dave is good with other active dogs and with cats. If you’ve got room in your heart (and home) for an energetic sweetheart who just wants to be your best friend, come meet Dave. He’s ready to start his next adventure with you!

Story
Meet Tilly!! Tilly is a very, very sweet girl! She is 14 months old. Tilly looks like a Labrador mix, but her owners were also told that there is German Shepherd and Brittnay Spaniel in her. We can definitely see the Brittnay Spaniel, but we don’t see much of the German Shepherd! She is almost full grown and weighs 42 pounds. She should not get any taller, but she may gain some muscle mass in the next year or so. Right now she is a lean lady and we would like to keep her body condition where it is. She absolutely loves to run and play and to chase toys, but she should not be left alone with anything that she can chew up because she will shred toys! And socks. And shoes.... She is house trained and crate trained and lets you know when she needs to go outside. She was raised with kids from three years old up and does well with them, but she can be a little rambunctious sometimes. She ADORES kids and follows them around at adoptions. She enjoys snuggling on the couch in the evenings and sleeping in her owner’s bed. She knows “sit” and “come” and is working on other commands. She LOVES to play with other dogs and running in the yard. She is still working on some manners, like not jumping up and pulling on the leash. We think that she was only around her sister growing up so she is learning how to PROPERLY great other dogs. It takes her a bit to warm up, but she LOVES a playmate and if she can play with the other dog, she is good!
