Cici is is now 5 1/2 yrs old, 55 lb, lab mix. She has been with us for 2.5 years after being saved from Dekalb Animal Control. She is fabulously sweet, loves to snuggles, plays with toys and enjoys going for walks. She was a little hesitant with new people but quickly warms up. Housebroken and crate trained, she likes to sleep on the foot of the bed or a big dog bed at night. She also likes to sit next to you and watch tv with her head in your lap. Good with other dogs and kids over 8. I think smaller ones might make her nervous. Cats are unknown Spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. Adoption fee is $150

Story
This beautiful girl is Pecan (or “Peeecan” if you insist 😉). She may have tipped the vet’s scale at 60 lbs, but we’re convinced she’s really the size of a 40–45 lb pup! She could stand to lose a few pounds—but can’t we all? Pecan is a total sweetheart—silly, loving, and eager for attention from everyone she meets. Around the kennel, she’s happy and confident, spending her days lounging on the deck, curled up on a comfy dog bed, or happily chewing on a toy. At night, once things quiet down, she gets a playful burst of energy and bounces around with her doggie friends before bedtime. When it comes to new environments, Pecan gets nervous. She’s not a fan of walking on leash and would much rather stick to her own yard and routine. Because of this, she needs a home that will give her time, patience, and the comfort of stability. Pecan is ready for a soft landing where she can relax, feel safe, and be loved for the sweet, goofy girl she is. Could you be the one to give her the forever home she’s been waiting for? 💛

Story
Hubble is super smart. He’s housebroken, crate trained and wonderful with the other dogs of all sizes. 100 pounds down to 7 pounds he does not care. He’s currently laying on the bed wagging his tail while two Chihuahuas wrestle next to him. He has never been around cats ( I feel like he would bark at them in the beginning, but would adjust) and he is good w kids. He loves the baby pool and he loves toys but what he really loves his cuddles and kisses. He sits and waits for treats like a perfect gentleman. NOTE Hubble can’t see very well out of his right eye due to a scar from an eye injury he had when he came to us as a pup but he manages fine! It just looks cloudy.

Story
Kiss is an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix. She is incredibly intelligent, affectionate, and loving. Her name was given to her by her first family, but it fits her perfectly because she absolutely loves giving kisses! I rescued Kiss from a neglectful situation where she spent most of her time locked in a crate and was rarely taken outside. When I found her, she was covered in her own waste. Since then, she has come a long way and has shown what a sweet and loving dog she truly is. Kiss has a unique personality—she doesn't care much for traditional toys, but she loves picking up objects and throwing them into the air! Due to housing restrictions, I can no longer keep her and am looking for a loving, responsible home where she can feel safe and be part of a family. She has so much love to give and deserves a wonderful second chance.

Story
A SWEET & JOYFUL PUPPY: Approx. 4-5 months old / Approx. 21 lbs. & growing Hi, I'm Korra! I came to Mostly Mutts after finding myself at animal control. I'm not quite sure how I ended up there, but I'm so grateful to be safe and well cared for now. I'm a sweet, hopeful pup with my whole future ahead of me, and I can't wait to "rescue" my new family with lots of puppy love, happy adventures, and tail wags. I hope we meet very soon! I've been selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience off-site and am learning a lot! Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice dog at home already that would like a puppy friend, let's meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.    • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a very sweet pup, still figuring out the world with my tiny teeth and big heart. When we go on walks, I like having my carrot toy with me—it helps keep my puppy teeth busy and makes me feel confident. I was a perfect angel pup for my bath. I stood very still and even gave kisses because I felt so safe. Afterward, I loved being held and carried around so I could look out the window and watch everything happening outside. I sat nicely for a treat, trying my best to be polite and show how good I can be. I'm sweet, friendly, and I really like toys. I'm a happy, fun little girl who loves being close to you and exploring life one exciting step at a time. / Energy level: 8-9, of course this may change as I grow.    • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and  have already learned the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'leave it', 'drop it' and 'place' commands. I also walk well on a leash and use proper door etiquette and I look forward to learning more! Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! I'm looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog—including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we'll all be happy—so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / My crate manners have been good at the shelter and in the off-site training program. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule and in the off-site training program, with just a little excitement peeing at times. I'm sure this will lessen at I get more comfortable in new situations. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love toys, going for walks and being held like a baby to look out the window. I'm sure we'll find lots more things we enjoy doing together! / I can't think of things I don't like yet since I'm so young, though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I'm also micro-chipped and spayed.     If you're ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let's meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.    September 3, 2026, 7:42 am

Story
A LOVING & PROTECTIVE GIRL:  Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 58 lbs. Hi, my name’s Yasmeen!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control and I’m sure happy they did!  I’m now ready to find my furever family to love!  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot!  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me.  My foster mom says my adopters will totally "hit the jackpot" with me — could that be you? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them!  I stayed with a boxer in a temp. foster home while my regular foster was on vacation and I did well with them.  When I first meet new dogs, I might come across as dominant, but I quickly adjust to play mode.  If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / My foster reports that I am good with their male and female cats.  / I met kids at Mostly Mutts that were around 10 years old, as well as a 7-year-old whom I gave kisses to on a day trip with my foster, and I liked them.  In my temporary home, I did show some guarding behaviors, though I did not display any guarding in my temp. foster home. Because of this, a home with dog-savvy kids ages 15 and up may be the best fit for me, so let’s meet with my trainer. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I arrived a bit unsure of new people, and we learned that I like to know that I can trust you and then we’ll be good friends.  It only took a day for that in the prison foster/training program.  I LOVE my people a lot and guard them a bit when a stranger comes into the home, but if I know them, I’ve been alright. I’ve worked on this in the prison/foster training program, and we have found it helpful that I meet new people outside of my space/home, so doing this in my new home is recommended.  Since settling into my foster home and building trust with my foster mom, I’m now able to meet strangers more often and with greater ease. I have a few close friends (neighbors) in our neighborhood that I look forward to greeting each day on my walks. I’d like a dog-savvy family, and I would not do well in a home with a lot of folks coming and going.  I’ve been a great girl for my baths and ‘just the sweetest’ girl.  / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. / I’m doing well in my crate. / My potty manners are very good in my foster home. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Being with my people is just the best, and I love all the attention and cuddles that come my way.  Playing fetch, chewing on bones, giving and receiving kisses, playing with toys, zoomies around the back yard, giving and receiving snuggles, and going for car rides are a few of my favorite things.  My foster has been taking me on walks every morning, and I really look forward to those.  Long naps after playtime are awesome!  During a recent outing to a brewery with my foster, I wore a sunhat and had the best time soaking up the sunshine.  I met several people there that I really liked, and I happily sat pretty for them in exchange for a treat. / I can be a bit nervous, so sudden movements at the shelter can startle me. I wouldn’t like a home with a lot of folks coming and going or where I’d be rushed.  I’m not a fan of having my feet held. I do alert bark at strangers walking by and the delivery man in my foster home.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I have some skin irritation so I’m taking an allergy medication called Zenrelia which I may or may not need to stay on - just ask about that.  I sometimes have phantom pains in my tail since it had to be amputated.  These can be common with amputees and should decrease in time.  I may need to be muzzled for vetting.      I am looking for a great home with a loving, furever family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  September 3, 2026, 7:42 am
