Story
We got Angel at a rescue center and she was soooo sweet. She turned 1 in August. I hate to rehome her but the work life is taking over in our house hold and we are not able to love on our dogs like we want. We are looking for a family/ couple that have time to love on Angel and give her space to run free as much as possible. She loves to cuddle and watch tv, she has energy outburst which are hilarious. She’s the best dog ever , if I could I would keep her☺️😔!!!

Story
Hi! I'm Fancy! Well for now at least. I am not really a "fancy", but my foster mom isn't sure what my name SHOULD be yet and honestly, I'm just happy to be around her so I don't care what she calls me. I will LITERALLY answer to ANY name she calls me! I am a young girl, probably 2-3 years old or so. I weigh 33 pounds and am full grown. I appear to be something called a "Labrador" and a "Whippet". I don't know what that means, but I am a petite muscular girl and I am super athletic. I LOVE my people, but I am scared of strangers. See at one point, I taken in by someone who kept a bunch of dogs and loved us, but couldn't care for us. I was not spayed and so I got pregnant and had to have my babies outside. When my owner had to move, me, my 6 babies, and my 30 or so fellow dogs had to find new places to live. Thankfully FHS was able to take my family and 7 other dogs in. My puppies were all adopted and now it is my turn. However, I had lost my trust of people. I am gaining it back, one person at a time. Once I am comfortable with you and at home, I am HAPPY! I love to play in the yard and run zoomies outside. I am a snuggler and I love scratches from my people. I am very treat motivated and I know exactly what time breakfast and dinner is. I love my fluffy blankets and I will stare my foster mom if my blanket is in the wash. I also LOVE exploring new places , hiking, and going on car rides. I enjoy playing with other dogs and, while I do not need another dog in my forever home, I would do best with a housemate. I do get nervous when my family leaves me behind (I do fine in a crate, but I will bark), but if I have a housemate nearby I am happy. I am not sure if I am good around cats or kids yet. I am mostly housetrained, but I will need a family who can keep on top of it for me. If I need to go and no one is around to listen to my signals, then I will go in my house. I do NEED a fenced in yard. I am very loyal to my person, but I can get scared of new things and new noises so it is safest if I can have a fenced in yard while I am outside. Story
Meet Penelope! Penelope is a 12 week old labrador mix. Penelope and her sister were born under a storage shed in the back yard of a TNR volunteer with FHS.   Thanks to the family dog alerting someone that the puppies were there, they were found at about 2-3 weeks old and able to socialize them. They have been with other dogs and also around cats.  Penelope is the outing going of the two puppies.  She LOVES play time outside and being with the big dogs.  She also LOVES toys and some quite time with her human. Penelope would do good with an active family. Story
Meet Dave! This hunk of love is a 3 and a half year old Chocolate Lab mix. Dave is about 65lbs. Dave came from the Fayette County Animal Shelter and he loves his foster family! He is extremely trainable, he loves treats, and he’s super eager to please. He is housebroken, and crate trained. And that’s without a doggy door. If you have a dog door, I’m confident that he would learn very quickly. Dave is so good about telling you what he wants too! Without being pushy or annoying, he makes it known if it’s breakfast or dinner time, he tells you if his water is out, and even when he wants to go out for play or potty time. And, if you don’t notice those immediate cues; he will get pushy and annoying (though that stage is brief, if he’s telling you he needs to potty). Now for the things Dave loves, in no particular order: People Couches (if the people are on it) Dogs that will play with him Food Attention Chew toys Oh, and most importantly: Dave believes that Ball is life! If you do not have tennis balls, Dave will insist that you invest in some. He also loves golf cart rides and going on adventures with his humans. His favorite places to go are places where his humans will shower him with love and attention! He will do just about everything so long as he can be with his people. If you have a cat at home, Dave is probably not for you. His foster family has a cat, and they have to keep them separate because he is overly interested in her. His foster mom’s dream for Dave, is a forever family with another active dog to play with. He LOVES his foster siblings, and wants to play with them any chance they will allow. He will need a physically strong and energetic owner because of how strong and energetic he is. He’s Fantastic on a leash (most of the time) but he can pull if something (like a dog he wants to play with) gets his attention. Dave would also do best with dog savvy older children because of his size, strength, and athleticism. Dave has some selective reactivity, that is getting much better as he gets more comfortable and confident in his environment, So, please understand that he may take some time to get used to you or your family, and he will need to continue being socialized regularly. Because of his reactivity, and strength, he would be best in a home with older/larger children, or a home with no kids at all. If you believe you and Dave are right for each other, go ahead and fill out an application. He would love to meet you!
