Story
Hello! Our names are Meg (female) and Otter (male)! We came from a litter of seven mixed breed puppies! Our mom is a medium-sized golden retriever mix. We seem to have a black lab appearance. We do not know what our dad looks like. Our GHS friends think we will be medium-large breed dogs once fully grown. We are very excited to move into our new homes and keep the ball rolling with our socialization. It is very important that we join families that have the time and patience to dedicate to our socialization and training, and who can handle our energy and excitement. To become a well-rounded, socialized adult, it's important we have frequent and positive interactions with new people, children, other dogs, visits to the vet clinic and other unfamiliar environments (like friends' homes and pet stores). It's also important we continue to get practice with handling and grooming so we continue to be comfortable when we are older and go for vet visits, get nail trims and receive brushing and grooming. ***If you apply to adopt one of us, please have a certified positive-reinforcement trainer in mind to sign up for puppy socialization classes, as this will be required prior to adoption.***If you are interested in adopting one of us, please click the "Adopt Me" button to complete an application.

Story
Elvis is a goofy, fun loving boy! Needs training - Puppy like and adventurous! Elvis was from an animal control facility. He was a stray who was never claimed. Staff got him all cleaned up, checked out, and now he is on his journey to finding a new loving forever home! Elvis lives up to his name, he is a charmer and people instantly fall for him! He is very puppy like and his age is estimated at just over a year. Due to his high energy level and lack of leash training at this time he NEEDS a fully fenced yard. He does need training on basic commands and manners. He loves being around people and playing ball! He gets along with other dogs, would be good with kids 8 and up. He is very bouncy and playful! He has not been around cats. He is learning and enjoys it! If you have any other questions or are interest in meeting this lovely boy, please contact the shelter at info@uppercredit.com

Baloo 🐻 | Female ♀️ | 3 Months Old | Northern Mix 🐺 | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: Yes Dating Bio: Looking for a quiet life with still a lot of playtime. Let's celebrate our youth and find that young puppy love. Adoption Bio: Baloo is a happy puppy. She loves sitting and watching the squirrels and birds without reacting to them - just content with a quiet life. She loves people - she’s always looking for new people to meet. Baloo greets everyone she meets with a full-body-tail-wag and doggy smile. She's also incredibly gentle with kids. Baloo hasn’t had any accidents in the house in a while - she rings bells to go outside for potty breaks. She also sleeps all night in her crate, completely content to go into her crate for naps during the day. She is still working on walking on a leash. Baloo loves playing with her foster cat siblings and is still mouthy/chewy on hands at times and also grabs at pant legs - she's a puppy! She lovesssss toys and emptying and re-filling her toy bin. She loves being outdoors, but is not a barker. She's smart and eager to learn. She’s not “destructive” but is a puppy and has chewed a couple of things when her foster parents weren’t watching her closely enough. She is honestly such a a good dog and will make a great family member someday. Make that day today! She is current on age appropriate vaccines and is being fostered in Stratford, ON. 📌Apply to Adopt at the link in our bio. https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/41015703-cambridge-ontario-husky-german-shepherd-dog-mix Don't forget to check out the list of other dogs we have available on our website through adoptapet!

Story
Nala | Female | 12 Weeks | Northern Mix | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: Yes Here’s Princess Nala! Nala is a super sweet lil gal that would love to be near you all the time. She gets an A+ in the snuggle department! This adorable lady is doing very well with her housetraining and will be housebroken in no time with proper commitment! She is very good motivated. Nala loves to meet new dogs and really enjoys playing with them. She is a little shy at first but once she warms up to you she will be your best pal! She is a puppy and puppies do play bite, so very young kids are not recommended as she’s still learning that play buying is not okay. But regardless she’s a super lovely gal Although they may be cute, puppies are a lot of work! Puppies need families that are home often to continue working on their house training and socialization. Their adoptive family must be committed to registering them for obedience classes. Nala is current on age appropriate vaccines. She is being fostered in Hamilton, ON. 📌 Apply to Adopt! ⬇️ https://forms.gle/eUHpAWmHhUvmVQ8C6

If you choose not to see your dog through to adoption, you will forfeit your deposit. Foster-to-adopt families will be expected to provide their own supplies. Visit https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info for more info on mandatory supplies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eros / Male / 1 years old / 40 lbs / Lab Cross / Good with Dogs / Untested with Children / No Cats Please / From Mexico / Fostered in Toronto ** Follow Eros' journey on Instagram: @grace_tells_freya ** Introducing Eros! This active, playful, full of life guy is ready to meet his forever family. Eros is a cuddle bug who is sweet, smart and silly and will be sure to bring a smile to your face. Eros is medium energy, He is playful and enjoys chewing on toys. Eros is a great companion and really learns to trust his humans. With new people, Eros is shy and will look to his trusted family until he can gain your trust and love. Eros has not met any children but based on his personality, we think he’d be ok with dog-savvy kids. Eros loves high value treats including sausages. Use these for training and he’ll learn as much as you ask of him! Being a puppy, Eros is still learning his leash manners as he likes to get excited, he just can’t help it! He’s been working on this and has already shown great progress. Eros needs a family who is patient and will support him with basic training, manners, and leash skills. Eros would love a home with a backyard so he can run around and get his energy out, but he’d also be ok as long as he is provided with at least 2 walks a day and proper enrichment. With other dogs, Eros can’t always take a hint when reading other dogs body language. He is a puppy and wants to play, it’s in his nature! Eros currently lives with another dog and does well. We think he’d do well as a second dog to a patient dog who won’t mind if Eros gets into their space once in a while. He will need proper introductions. As for cats, Eros hasn’t had any exposure so right now he is seeking a cat-free home. Eros does show signs of prey drive. He sometimes will want to chase small animals so his adoptive family will need to work with him on this. Eros loves his crate and can be left alone for the day when his foster mom goes to work, as long as he gets a mid day potty break. Eros has been going to doggy daycare to gain confidence and has made many milestones in his training. But like we said, Eros trusts his people so his new family should be prepared for some regression and needs to be patient while continuing to work with him on his independence and helping him grow in his new home. Eros has anxiety behaviours and has been put on behaviour modification medications. He currently has become accustomed to his living environment and is not using them but this is something his future adopter may want to know and use as he adjust new a new home. He is currently taking: - Zylkene - 450mg once daily - monthly cost approx $105 - Clomicalm - 20mg twice daily - monthly cost approx $170 Eros is a flight risk and our top priority in his furever home is safety. His forever family must take precautions to keep him safe and secure, including the purchase of a GPS tracker which will be required for adoption. If you're interested in fostering with the intention of adopting, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Eros' adoption fee is $850.
