Meet Carnita! Carnita is a sweet and loyal three-year-old Lab mix weighing in at 31 pounds. She came to us from Bayou Animal Shelter and has been part of Lifeline’s family since June of last year. Now, she’s ready to find a loving home of her own. Carnita can be a little cautious around new people, but once she feels comfortable, she’s incredibly cuddly and devoted. She enjoys going on walks and is making great progress with her leash training. Carnita would do well in a smaller home or one with a backyard where she can play and burn off some energy. Our adoption fee covers dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped as well as spay/neuter at our preapproved vets. All puppies not altered due to age will under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon completion of surgery. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable.
