HISTORY: Trigger came into rescue in March 2023 as an owner surrender in eastern Washington. She looks to be about a 2-4 year old Boxer / Labrador mix with 3 legs. FOSTER UPDATE: Trigger is doing great and loves going for walks and rolling around in the grass. She has earned her nickname "Sugar" - she is a very sweet dog. She loves to wag, cuddle, get belly rubs, and give kisses. She can be cautious with new people, but she warms up pretty quickly and is a cuddler - leaning in for hugs, gently putting her paw on your leg to ask for snuggles, and laying her head or body on your lap when you sit or lay near her. She has a lot of love to give. She has good coordination and endurance and loves to go on long walks (with little breaks). She gets pretty excited about bunnies and would like to chase them, so she does best walking on a leash. She seems to be more comfortable with smaller dogs rather than bigger dogs. The FIRST thing anyone says about Walker is "he's so calm". Walker has the most gentle, kind personality and you can see it in his eyes as he looks to find what it is you want him to do. Walker is excellent with children, laying down so he will not overpower them, and gently taking pets and treats. This sweet nature also allows him to be perfect with smaller dogs and puppies and even cats. Walker has completed puppy training and knows all his commands and is excellent on a leash. His trainer said he should sail through Canine Good Citizen as he was a quick learner and very smart. Walker likes cuddling on the couch, taking walks, playing with other dogs and just being very chill.I really cant say enough good things about this pup. He was found as a stray with 6 other siblings and every one has had the most amazing temperament. Walker was the last to leave the horrible conditions they were found in. Welcome Orion to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Orion is an 13-month-old Lab/Black Mouth Cur mix. He weighs about 40 pounds and may way 50 full grown. He was found as a stray. He is a very sweet and responds well to affection. He will be large sized full-grown dog is our guess. He is friendly with other dogs off-leash. He has a beautiful medium length coat and stunning brown eyes. He was found as a stray and is now in foster care here in Texas. Orion has a brown shorter coat with a white blaze on his chest. He is a moderate shedding dog and not over the top. He stays in his yard and plays nicely with other dogs. He is good with all people and is very loving. He loves to play in the water and playing with sticks. He is a typical puppy. They are good at walking next to you in the yard. Orion would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He isn’t food assertive when eating and is not over the top wiggly. He is playful and outgoing. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont, or all along the East Coast. Someone who does not work all day every day is best for a puppy. He will need to finish up his puppy training. He spends a lot of time outside in his foster home here in Texas. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
