Story
HISTORY: Trigger came into rescue in March 2023 as an owner surrender in eastern Washington. She looks to be about a 2-4 year old Boxer / Labrador mix with 3 legs. FOSTER UPDATE: Trigger is doing great and loves going for walks and rolling around in the grass. She has earned her nickname "Sugar" - she is a very sweet dog. She loves to wag, cuddle, get belly rubs, and give kisses. She can be cautious with new people, but she warms up pretty quickly and is a cuddler - leaning in for hugs, gently putting her paw on your leg to ask for snuggles, and laying her head or body on your lap when you sit or lay near her. She has a lot of love to give. She has good coordination and endurance and loves to go on long walks (with little breaks). She gets pretty excited about bunnies and would like to chase them, so she does best walking on a leash. She seems to be more comfortable with smaller dogs rather than bigger dogs. ADOPTION INFO Dog adoption fees include: - All Basic Dog Vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (Up to $400) - Neuter (Up to $300) - Microchip & Registration All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue. Story
Lab mix puppy NEEDS A FOSTER!! Meet Callie! She and another pup, Capri, have had a really unfair start; they were recently dumped in Eastern WA. Someone witnessed the person dumping them with tied their legs together, presumably so they couldn't run. Isn't that awful?! Both pups are about 6 months old and seem to be in good health. Though we recently noted that Callie does have a tooth that needs to come out, and she still needs her spay. Callie is very friendly and still trusting of people.. She has been described as having "typical lab energy.." She needs someone to continue working on basic training with her. She has bright, friendly, puppy energy. The very best thing about Callie is, she just has a heart of gold. She is a wiggly puppy that sometimes jumps up on you, BUT she is SO affectionate and loyal. She just wants love, and to be loved so bad. She wants to please you. She is quite honestly the most loyal dog we have in our 30 dogs in rescue. She is good with other dogs. She briefly had a foster home for a couple weeks, and loved running and playing at the sniff spot that her foster mom took her too. She will need dogs of similar age and energy though, as she is still quite puppy. Sadly that foster could no longer have her, so we are on the hunt for someone to help her get out of a cage again! She would do best with a calm home environment, with someone who has the time to focus on her, and who is consistent, and ideally working from home or around alot. We are seeking a foster who can match her energy, train her, and also give her a place to recover so she cat get spayed and get her dental work done. Given her age, we REALLY need to get her out of the kennel. Would you be willing to provide a foster home, even just for the short term? If so, please go to our website redwagginrescue.org to fill out an application! Story
Meet Wall-E! This adorable, hunk of a man puppy is a 6 month-old Lab/Terrier mix weighing in at 50 pounds—and he’s still growing! Wall-E is on track to be a big boy who loves soaking up attention. Wall-E has a wonderfully chill personality for a puppy. He’s easygoing, friendly, and always ready for some love from his people. Whether he’s lounging around or snuggling for pets, he’s got that lovable, heart-melting charm that makes everyone smile. He’s doing incredible in his foster home and loves other dogs and kids! Mastering potty training like the genius that he is! Not quite a fan of car rides at the moment but working on it. He’s also learning to show his manly muscles off to the world strutting the leash (smidge more convincing needed on the leash part). If you’re looking for a gentle giant in the making with a mellow spirit and a big heart, Wall-E might be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Caramelo! This handsome 2-year-old, 60-pound Carolina Dog mix is as unique as he is sweet—just look at those stunning eyes, one green and one blue! Caramelo is a mellow, affectionate guy who loves people and soaks up every bit of attention and petting he can get. He’s super friendly and has a calm, easygoing vibe, but he also enjoys playtime with another medium-energy dog. He’s also a very tidy pup—he’s not much of a leg lifter and he waits patiently to go potty outside instead of in his kennel. Even though he was found as a stray, you’d never know it—Caramelo acts like he’s always been loved. With his good manners, gentle nature, and affectionate personality, Caramelo is ready to be someone’s loyal best friend.

Story
Meet Simon! Simon is a 4-month-old, 23-pound Husky/Lab mix — and the last of his litter to find a forever home! This handsome boy is bold, curious, and thoughtful in his own way. He likes to take a quick pause before leaping into new adventures, but once he’s decided, there’s no stopping him! Simon is brave, smart, and not shy about asking for what he wants — whether it’s treats, toys, or snuggles. Kisses are his specialty, and he gives them out generously to everyone he meets. When he’s done with his puppy antics, Simon transforms into a total cuddle bug. No pillow fort? No problem — he’ll make one himself! He’s already working on his puppy skills, including going outside for potty breaks, sitting for treats, and learning new commands. He doesn’t sleep through the night just yet, but after a quick potty break and breakfast, he’s happy to snooze again. Simon is equal parts adventure buddy and couch companion — the perfect match for an active family who loves both playtime and cuddle time. If you’re ready to give this sweet boy the forever home he deserves, apply today!

Story
Meet Ranger – The Ultimate Adventure Buddy Ranger is a 4–6-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who’s ready to find a home that matches his energy, loyalty, and love for fetch. Found roaming a neighborhood, this sweet boy was taken in by a kind stranger who saw the good dog beneath the dust. Now he’s ready for his next chapter—and he’s bringing his ball with him. This guy checks a lot of boxes. He’s great with kids, friendly with small dogs, house and kennel trained, and knows basic commands. Ranger is affectionate, gentle, and loves being wherever you are—especially if that means riding shotgun on a car ride or playing a never-ending game of fetch in the backyard. He's happiest when he's outdoors, running off leash (in a safely fenced yard) or keeping you company at your side. His only mischief? He’s got a curious nose for the trash and may beg when food is around—but he’s too sweet to scold for long. What Ranger Offers: - Great with kids and small dogs - Knows commands, house and kennel trained - Low bark level, couch-mannered (only if invited) - Loves fetch, car rides, and being your shadow - Calm for indoor baths, less a fan of the hose - Affectionate, loyal, and fun-loving What Ranger Needs: - An active person or family who loves the outdoors - A decent-sized fenced yard with a tall fence - Someone with a strong throwing arm—he lives for fetch Ranger is looking for more than just a place to live—he’s looking for a human to belong to. If you’re ready for a companion who brings his own tennis ball and a heart full of love, Ranger’s your guy. ************************************************************* ADOPTION INFO - Dog application fees include: - All basic dog vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (up to $400) - Neuter (up to $300) - Microchip All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue.
