Story
My dog Rocky is 11 months old Mastiff Pitbull male. 🥰👍He love going outside and playing. He is very strong 💪 and pulled my heavy duty walker. He needs more training. If he see a squirrel, a bird or bike he will chase it. 🥰👍He act well with women and children. He love to jump on everyone and still have that teenager energy. Sometime he will be bashful around men because of their strong voice. My dog Rocky will bark when someone or visitors come to the door. 🥰Yes, very protective of me. He had some training from me, my daughter and son, he can sit, stay, and lay down. You have to say "watch out Rocky" for him to move out the way.🥰When he go outside he like to play tag, get the stick and bring it back when you throw it, get the ball when throwing it and tug of war with his rope. 🥰He will come back when you call his name "Rocky".🥰👍❤️👌😁

OAKLEY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!   Come meet Oakley and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (04/27) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring, MD (12020 Cherry Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!     Name:  Oakley          Best Guess for Breed:  Mastiff and retriever mix   Best Guess for Age:  9 months as of April 2024        SEX:    Female   Estimated Weight:    42 lbs as of 12/22/24   Gets Along With:   Oakley is good with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. She's in her prime socialization period and this is a good time for her to meet cats, we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.   Special Adoption Considerations:      Right now, Oakley is pretty shy as she adjusts to life in a home. She needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will help show her the ropes! Oakley is Looking For:    I'd be a fantastic wingwoman for your dog! I'd love to have a family to take walks with, go on hikes with, take car rides with, go to the dog park and a training class!! I would love to show my humans how much I love them. My needs are really rather basic: food, a bed (I can certainly share yours in a pinch hahaha I'm not really kidding I can), some toys (I promise not to use your shoes instead plus you're going to be smart and put them away ; ) ), some walks (and those are good for you too) and trips to the dog park or doggie day care (also I'm sure good for you!). And in exchange, I'll be the best girl for you and love you for the rest of my life!!    What do you say? Is there space for me in your home and your heart?  What My Foster Says About Me: When Oakley arrived she was very shy and reserved, but she has warmed up to all of us and to our dog. She is a complete cuddlebug who loves to snuggle on the couch with us. She is best buddies with our dog, and the two of them look out the bay window and watch the neighborhood happenings, and she loves to sit quietly and get pets. Oakley goes into the crate on her own and that is her favorite spot at night. Oakley loves to play in the backyard with our dog and she has learned a lot from her; she has really opened up and is learning how much fun she can have. It’s so hard not to fall in love with her... Come out and meet her! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this pup is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Imagine finding a tiny, shivering soul, barely five weeks old, abandoned on the cold, unforgiving edge of a highway. That was Archer. He and his brother, covered in fleas and desperately malnourished, were found just in time, their fragile lives hanging in the balance. Thankfully, a loving foster family opened their hearts and home, offering them warmth, care, and a second chance. The first time his fosters took Archer and his brother into the backyard, the fear of being abandoned again was overwhelming. They ran back to their fosters, crying and shaking, a heart-wrenching reminder of their difficult start. Archer's journey has been one of resilience and transformation. He's blossomed in his foster home, surrounded by a menagerie of furry and feathered friends – dogs, cats, goats, ducks, and chickens. He's learned the joy of playful romps with big dogs, the gentle art of respecting boundaries (mostly!), and the comfort of snuggling close to a warm lap. This sweet boy, with the most endearing face you've ever seen, is a cuddle connoisseur. He'll happily settle on your lap, or as close as he can get, showering you with affection. He's a true helper, always eager to be involved in whatever you're doing. He's treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze, though he might need some guidance to remember that everyone has their own food bowl! Archer is kennel trained, but he's used to a bustling household filled with love and activity. He sleeps with a pillow, often burrowing under blankets, and he cherishes the feeling of being held close – a comfort he discovered as a tiny, vulnerable pup. Now, at about five months old and 40 pounds, Archer is growing into a big, strong boy, but his heart remains as tender as ever. He's searching for a forever home where he can share his boundless love and loyalty. He'd thrive with a family who understands his gentle nature, continues his training, and cherishes his affectionate spirit. Archer's journey began in hardship, but his story is one of hope and the enduring power of love. Will you be the one to write the next chapter of his happy ever after?

To learn more about Jack Spratt, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Jack Spratt will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event he will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/. (*Please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending each event.*) Say hello to Jack Spratt! Contrary to what the old nursery rhyme says, this Jack Spratt is a big ol’ boy. Weighing in at 90 lbs., this 2-year-old Mastiff mix, with his beautiful brown coat and striking black facial markings, is a true head-turner—even if he does come with a bit of drool that’s classic to his breed. And don’t let his massive head, giant paws, or large frame fool you—Jack is a total sweetheart who’s full of love, greeting you with wagging tails, gentle sniffs, and laid-back vibes. Jack loves walks, gets along well with other dogs, and leans in close for pets like he’s known you forever. He’s ready to start his next chapter with a loving family who appreciates the finer things—like snuggles, head boops, and pleasurable strolls around the neighborhood. If you're into chill, big-hearted companions, Jack’s your guy. You just gotta be cool with a little drool. Come meet and fall in love with this gentle giant today!
