This little guy is all about making friends, loving on everyone he meets, and having fun. He is reported to be 6 years old but he acts so much younger it’s hard to believe he’s a middle-aged guy. He came into the shelter in terrible shape—thin, matted, filthy, and with a giant mass on his face. He’s all cleaned up now, the mass removed, and he’s gaining back the weight he needs. Harry is not looking like a super model right now with a haircut that’s shaved to the skin in places from how matted he was but he will absolutely win every personality contest. He is excellent with dogs, cats, and kids. He loves nothing more than toys and tossing toys around. If he can’t find a toy, socks are his favorite things to run around with. Harry is housetrained, crates well, and minds his manners in the house. He loves to go for walks and then snuggle up with his people or in a sunny spot for a snooze. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Holly (darker colored) and Patsy (lighter colored) are a bonded pair. Their DNA test showed that they are a Pug/Poodle Mix! They weigh 12 and 15lbs. They are very sweet gals. They are quite affectionate with others and each other. We guess their birthday is somewhere around 7/2022 - 12/2022. They get along great with other dogs of all sizes. They even boss my 70lb Lab/Pittie mix around with ease. They haven't been around cats, but I believe they’d do fine.  They are very treat motivated. They are potty trained on a schedule. They greet me very excitedly each day when I get home.  They both love attention, snuggles and belly rubs. They are pretty active when they are outside and love to play and run in a fenced yard. They are escape artists so a secure 6’ fence is a must with these two or they will need to be on a tie out. They do play and get vocal at times inside. Walks are a work in progress for them. They tend to bark and react to squirrels and other dogs walking by but with some training and guidance, this should improve over time. When you settle down to watch a movie, they will too. They are great snugglers. When I work from home, they want to be near me, sometimes even in my lap. They spend weekdays in their kennels for about 8 hours. She is good with other calm dogs, and cats, no young children as the excitement scares her. She is thought to be older, exact age is not known.  She is a pretty calm girl, does like to play some. Zoey would prefer not to be picked up alot, would rather lay with you on the couch on your lap and chill.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. She will be arriving in MN late April. I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs.   I’m fairly new here but have been gaining confidence by the day!  As with most dogs, when I first meet someone, I’m a little shy and timid.  I’m really curious inside and want to be near so it’ll just need a bit of time to know that you’re a safe space for me.  I’ve been learning about trust and now I’m more apt to stay put than run, when approached.  Once I’m picked up I just melt right in for love.  That’ll likely be my personality all the time once I know you’re my people.  I’ve just started sleeping on my foster’s leg and inching my way up to hopefully a lap soon. In my spare time I enjoy eating and playing with other dogs.  I’m trying hard to follow along and go potty outside but as close as I am to getting the hang of it, I might need a little transition time to learn it at my forever home too. I do well in the kennel and am working on going inside on command.  Won’t that be a neat trick?! I do need a fenced yard in my forever home. When it is time to put on a leash and harness, I get worried. We are practicing how to stay put nicely to put on a harness without bolting.  HAHA  I’m tricky like that.  I haven’t really had any true leash walking experience so that’s something we can practice.  I do know the command for “stay” which is what I’m told when they want to wrangle me in the harness.  I have been snarky with some of the other dogs here when it comes to my food.  I have to tell them to buzz off, that it’s mine.  That seems to be all it is, as I’m not aggressive.  I can be an only dog too if you’d like.
