You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Look at this face, I mean really!  I’m THE man.  Meaning, I’m not just a lady’s man, but also a man’s man, a kids man, an everybody’s man. Do you know what I’m packed with?  Love. Plan and simple.  My favorite thing is snuggle up with you.  I adore resting my head on your or hear your neck or even your lap.  So if I come off shy and demure, just know I’ll be ready to nuzzle up soon enough. I’m super smart.  I haven’t had an accident in the house ever!  How’s that for a genius.  I go in my kennel without issues and don’t make a peep about it.  How’s that for genius!  I’m even learning commands to go in there as well as for sit, come and have even started ringing a bell to let you know I have to go out to the bathroom!  TA DAHH! Running around is pretty fun too but I’ve been practicing using a leash so I don’t need a fenced yard but I won’t discriminate if you have one.  I think I’ll enjoy long walks once I get the hang of it better.  If there is something I need to work on, it’s stairs.  They scare me, and so do doors.  Again, I’m slowly getting better at both.  Until I’m over my fear, please be patient with me.  I haven’t been around other dogs here and I’m ok with that, but it just means I’m not sure how I’d be with them.  I have teenagers here and we love on each other just fine!  When I first came here, I didn’t mutter a sound but now that I’m learning things, I have let out a bark here and there when I hear sounds in other rooms.  Not annoying, but just to tell you something is “off.”  Well, that’s all I have for now.  I’ll just hang here and chew on my bully sticks and play with my teddy bear and stuffed toys.  *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.  Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application.  We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    How do you do? Regina is my name, quite a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Now, it’s not like a lady to share her weight, but if I must, I’ll make the exception this one time. I am a 26 lb adult poodle, and while some other dogs are okay calling themselves a “good girl” I would say I am more of a refined lady. I mind my p’s and q’s, I wouldn’t dare cross your personal boundaries until I am invited to which I will gracefully accept your invitation. I will stand and give you a greeting hug and put my arms around you in a gentle fashion.        I am rather intelligent and am of the curious kind. If my senses are heightened by a delicious scent from the countertop, I must admit, I may explore but only when I know something is obtainable. Perhaps keeping delicious morsel treats a tad bit higher will keep my nosy nature at bay, which will likely lessen a counter surfing opportunity. Because of my intellect, I will remember where you keep treats, so, take note.        Despite my small frame, I move with elegance, like a graceful horse in stride. Though I have not been around children or felines, I am gentle and calm in spirit, so I do believe my patience will carry over if either were present in my new home. I do not mind other dogs of any size, but I love being with my person, a home without another canine could be ideal. I’m sure either will be quite alright.       I do prefer to be near my master, but will remain quietly poised in my kennel if that’s where you desire me at times, I also understand the command. While I often do not choose to speak, if prompted by another playmate, I may whine until the barking stops. Because I am a smart cookie, puzzle games are a great joy to me, along with treats and food being a delight as well.        I’m hoping my new home has a fenced yard, I don’t enjoy unnecessary sights and sounds, and an area that’s familiar would keep me in a gentler state of mind. I am working on potty training, I go outside, and I do use bathroom pads in the middle of the night, but I do need practice. I would think that with some extra attention in this area, maybe a schedule, I will likely pick up on cues in this area quickly. Perhaps allowing me to have free reign in the home when you are gone will have to be a reward that I must earn because of this reason, which is quite alright as I stated earlier, I don’t mind the kennel.       Well, look at the time, I must take my afternoon nap. Before I go, I will leave you with this thought to keep in mind. I promise to be loyal, loving and a caring companion for the human that is looking for a fellow gentle soul. Sending my warm regards.   *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hello! I’m Riley, a very timid, handsome, gentle, and usually quiet adult male Poodle who is learning to live with and trust people. I am, however, a total goofball with other dogs especially when I get to run around and play chase so I will need a playmate and a fenced yard at my new home. I also enjoy investigating my surroundings (including the toy box hee, hee), napping, chewing on bully sticks or bones, running the occasional zoomies, following mom around the house, and eating treats whether dehydrated or a Kong filled with peanut butter or Greek yogurt...YUUUMMM!!! I have not met any cats; I’m very skittish; and I startle easily at loud noises, commotion, or sudden movements so smaller kids are not a good fit for me unless they’re dog savvy and very respectful. Home life is very new to me so I’m still learning about things like the kennel/crate, leash, and how to do my business outside. The truth is, I understand that I should do my business when I’m outside…I just don’t fully understand that I shouldn’t do it when I’m inside! I’m also learning about the joy of getting pets and relaxing on the couch and bed, but I have determined that I do not like being the center of attention. I am curious boy with an adorable head tilt that I show off when I hear new or funny sounds and I’m on high alert for my own reflection. It’s quite funny because when I catch my reflection I growl/bark at it! Hee, hee!! All I need now is YOU… a patient, unconditionally loving fur-ever family that will NEVER give up on me. Sure, it will take time for me to trust but I promise that if you welcome me into your life…I will make you the center of mine and I will love you more than you could possibly imagine! Love, Riley *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Want to meet me? Come to the Underdog Headquarters (3345 Dakota Ave, St. Louis Park, 55416) for an Adoption Event on Sunday, Feb 25th from 10:30-11:30 am. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs.   Hello, wonderful souls! I'm Peter, your soon-to-be charming companion! I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! I really hope that YOU will be my new family because my heart is overflowing with love that I want to share with someone very special! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Do you want to meet me? I will be at Unleashed Hounds and Hops (200 East Lyndale Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55405), for an adoption event Thursday, Feb 22nd from 6:00-8:00 pm. I will be there! Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Give it up for me! Dirk!  Yes, applause.  I’m worthy, I promise.  In lieu of an award, I’ll take an application for a forever home. You see, I love lots of things, including toys (which I’m told I am “rough” on) and bones.  Is there a difference?!  Other than one tastes better.  I put forth the same ambition in chewing as I do in my play.  In other words, I have lots of energy.  Good energy. But, sometimes I chew things I shouldn't so my people are careful and don't leave things out that I might chew and accidently swallow.  I’m super curious so it would be fantastic if you had a fenced yard as I’m an expert explorer, but it is not required if you promise to take me on adventure walks. But since I have so much energy, I would prefer a fence.  What dog wouldn’t?! So, what I'm asking is do  you like walking? Please say yes because this kid can walk for 2 miles and not peter out.  We are working on crate training and sometimes I will yell about it (bark bark) when I’m kenneled during the day so it would be best if my forever home didn’t have shared walls.  My people would call me a work in progress for crate training. Oh and car rides make me a little nervous but I hope that gets better.  We are working on potty training – with a good routine I know I will be a success.  I can be an only pet too, but am also very good with other dogs, which is who I like to snuggle with sometimes.  I’m even learning to play with them but also play well by myself with toys. When you least expect it, I’ll sneak in for kisses and I thoroughly enjoy meeting all the people I can.  If you think I’m your guy, head over and fill out an application.  I’ll be waiting! Hello there, my name is Viscount. I am a very happy, playful young adult male Mini Poodle who is still learning about toys, but I love to gaze out the window; say hello to the things I see outside; eat meals/treats; and snuggle & watch TV with foster mom. I love mom so much that when she gets home, I leap and bark with joy all the way to the door to great her!! I then enjoy following her around with a happy-go-lucky tail wag not only to keep tabs on her but because she’s most likely going to give me a good scratch or massage which makes me absolutely melt…hint, hint!! I’m a smart boy who knows what “come” and “sit” mean and potty training is going nicely on a schedule. However, I don’t have a lot of leash experience so my yard will need to be fenced and I need a doggie companion who will help me feel more comfortable and safer. I have not met any cats and I’m fearful of men & children, so my new family needs to be female adults. Oh, and while I don’t make a peep if crated in the car, I will bark & howl constantly when in there at home so no shared walls and hopefully my new mama(s) will be home with me most of the time. I truly am such an incredibly sweet and loving boy who craves affection from my people. All I need now is YOU… a patient, unconditionally loving female fur-ever family who will not only help me build my confidence but promises to NEVER give up on me. If you are looking for an affectionate guy in your life, I am your soulmate! All my love, Viscount *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
Hi, I'm Saffron. I'm from Missouri. From the foster: Looking for a sweet companion that comes in a small package and has lots of love and joy to share? Well look no further than me, Saffron the 6 month old mini-Goldendoodle. This is my first time posting on an adoption matching website. It's a little scary, but also rather exciting. Could you be my forever family match? Let me share some insight as to what I have to offer in a relationship. Full disclosure, I can be nervous in new situations. To that end, I am working on building up my confidence. Slow introductions are greatly appreciated. I am crate/potty trained and sleep through the night. I am dog friendly. My favorite toys are stuffies with ears, tail and a nose I can chew off. Barking is in my DNA, but it appears to have skipped a generation (I am a quiet little girl). And ... saving the best for last ... I love to cuddle on the couch with my favorite human. Could that be you? If you swipe right, I promise you will not be disappointed. P.S. Since I am only 6 mths old, my foster mom will need to chaperone our first date.

Story
I am Alvin. I am from Missouri. From his foster: Alvin is such a sweet boy with the cutest head tilts. He is an all time champion of snuggling. Busy all day working from home and want a lap friend to keep you company? Then Alvin is your guy. He sleeps with my 12 year old daughter every night. He's fine with the hustle and bustle of our household. Alvin would do well with a confident dog in the home to show him the ropes. Although it's not necessary to have a dog in the home but it will help him come out of his shell. For the first couple days I had Alvin he had accidents in the house but mainly on his pee pads. Then we got into a really good routine of going potty outside.. then the snow came.. then he was struggling because he didn't know what all that white stuff on the ground was. He's doing better each day! He would ideally need a confident dog in the home, but it's not required. He's quiet and likes to snuggle. Alvin is due for a dental on the 28th.

Story
Meet Sparrow! She came in and was very scared at first, but a wonderful foster took her home and she's thriving! Sparrow is a little poodle/schnauzer mix around 10 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is learning all sorts of fun things like walks in a grassy yard, smelling flowers, baths and belly rubs. She is non-shedding. She loves to be brushed and sleeps great in her kennel all night. She loves snuggling on the couch with her people, tug o' war, and fetching her stuffed bear are her new hobbies. She's house trained and loves to follow her person around. She walks great on leash and does well with kids she meets around the neighborhood.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.February 22, 2024, 9:05 pm

Story
I'm  Robert  and am 2 years old. I'm a mini golden doodle. I have a luscious brown coat with hints of white.  I recently moved to MN on January 21, 2024 to enjoy my retirement from breeding. I am learning to be a dog and have bursts of puppy energy. I got along well with my foster sister before she was adopted and resident cats. I would prefer to have a pup sibling to keep me company in my future home. I am shy around humans and it takes me a little bit to warm up. Loud or sudden movements can be scary and I tend to get skittish or anxious. I don't mind the little humans trying to cuddle with me but I do keep my distance as they tend to make lots of sudden movements. I prefer the calm adult but do love to give the kids lots of kisses. I am learning to play with toys and chew on them.  I love doing zoomies in the backyard and am learning to walk with a harness/leash.  I go out pretty regularly to do my potty business and have only had two #2 accidents in the house because the human didn't read my body cues fast enough. I'm a bit of a talker when I hear all these noises that I haven't heard before, like a TV or someone entering a room without letting me know.  I'm not used to being alone so this can make me feel stressed but I do go in my kennel when the humans are away. I also am sleeping through the night in my kennel. My human puts on the sound machine which helps to tune out all the other noises. I am enjoying being a dog and love to give kisses. Can I give you some puppy kisses?  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, dental, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Meet Buddy Brown! He's a very sweet mini poodle around 3 years old. He loves to lay on your lap. However, he is quite scared and will cower when approached which is typical for a breeder release dog. They take some time and patience to come out of their shell. He's still working on potty training but I think he'll make progress quickly with that.  He is perfect when it comes to riding in the car and sleeps in bed with his people quietly throughout the night. He gets along well with other dogs, does not bother cats and is not interested when shown my bearded dragon. He's not very food motivated but does enjoy treats when left alone with them. He needs a bit of work on kenneling and staying in an x-pen without barking but he is improving with time. He is extremely cuddly and wants nothing more than to sleep in your lap 24/7. He's looking for a home of his own. Is that with you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. What do you do when you’re a little guy who is just learning all the things that make being a dog wonderful?  You find a forever home that will help guide you through it and exposure you to all the love and patience you can have.  I’m so unsure of things that I need assistance from my loving foster mom who helps me and reassures me in just about everything she can but I also will need another dog in my forever home who can show me all about being a dog and help me be confident.  I haven’t had an accident in the house for over three weeks which I understand is really good because, you know…rumors. But I’m still so timid that foster mom needs to pick me up and take me to my bowl and sit there so I don’t run off and hide under the bed.  Then she’ll carry me outside to do my business because I am too afraid.  But once I’m out there, and after I do my duty, I enjoy playing with my furster sister.  She really likes me and helps me know things.  We chew bones together and play.  I do need another dog and fenced yard.  I do prefer smaller ones like me and the opposite sex.  Also, I do like to guard my toys and bones.  A guy needs things of his own, amIright?!  So probably no small kids for now. I haven’t been on a leash yet because foster mom thinks I need to learn so much about being a dog that once I’m braver, we (or you) can help with that.  I also don’t have a crate here so I don’t know about that either.  As you can see there are things we need to work on together in my forever home. I know we will be a great team! All I need now is a forever family with lots of patience and love to help me be the best I can be! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Hey there, future family! My name's Kobi, and I'm here to sprinkle some puppy love into your life. I may be a tiny Bichon pup, but let me tell you, I've got a big personality packed into this little furball. I'm a sweet and loving guy who just can't get enough of people and other dogs. Seriously, I'll wag my tail at anyone who gives me even a hint of attention! I'm a curious little explorer at heart, and nothing makes me happier than sniffing around and checking out every nook and cranny of my surroundings. Whether it's chasing after toys, romping around with my foster siblings (although they're not always up for it), or cuddling up with my favorite human, I'm always down for some fun. Speaking of toys, I'm a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to playthings. I love anything that squeaks, jingles, or crinkles—bonus points if it's extra loud! And treats? Oh boy, don't even get me started. I'll do just about anything for a tasty snack, and I'm always first in line when treat time rolls around. Now, let's talk about my training. I'm still working on mastering the art of potty training, but I'm getting better every day with a little help from my foster mom and a good schedule. I'm also crate trained and pretty well-behaved at bedtime, although I might let out a few barks if I'm feeling lonely and Mom's not nearby. We haven't worked on leash training yet, but if you promise to teach me I don't need a fence in my forever home.  While I haven't had the chance to meet any larger dogs or cats yet, I'm pretty sure I'd get along with just about anyone. After all, I've got nothing but love to give! So, what do you say? Are you ready to welcome a smart, loving, and oh-so-adorable pup like me into your home? I promise to fill your days with endless cuddles, playtime antics, and lots of puppy kisses. Let's make some memories together—forever and always! Yours truly, Kobi *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Hi, my name is Corbin and I am a very shy and timid puppy that is ready to find my forever people with patience, toys and lots of love to help me be the best I can be! I’m very afraid of being touched by humans but I do love them.  I’ve been brave enough to lick my foster mom’s hand but I’ll run away if you try to hold me or pick me up.  With time, lots of patience and love, I’ll get there.  I’m getting a little better every day but when things are scary, they’re really scary! You have to understand that I likely have never been in a loving home so sounds like the TV, clanking dishes, the horrible vacuum and lots of commotion might make me a little worried. I have shown foster mom that I do have some puppy antics in me, hee hee! I like to play with soft toys, run around the yard and wrestle with the other dogs in my foster home. So, it’ll be important that I have a good doggy role model in my forever home to help me learn that touch isn’t scary and keep learning. A social, well-balanced and confident dog is required. This means that my buddy will need to show me humans are safe, how to get on a potty routine and teach me which toys are the best! My fur-brother and the other dogs in my foster home have been amazing teachers! I am still working on my dog skills like potty training. We go outside on a routine, but I will still need of practice in my forever home. Foster mom wants to let you know that I am smart – I already know what “go potty” means! We tried kennel training, and oh boy, I will tell you how much I don’t like it! Bark bark! Foster mom uses gates for the dogs when she isn’t home. I also bark at her when she comes home – maybe I’m telling you I’m glad you’re home, or maybe I’m filling you in on what happened when you were away!  Also, a fenced yard is required as I don’t have a leash or tie-out experience. This is very important for potty training too. My foster mom said I’m fun, adorable, learns quickly and likes to play with other dogs and that I play hard!  Oh and that I have a wonderful appetite! I will let you know with a bark bark that I am excited for dinner! I’m just an overall, very happy dog who loves the feel of the sun on my face when I’m sitting outside, other dogs and treats.  All I need now is a forever home with lots of patience, unconditional love and a family that will help me be the best I can be! Foster mom says that with time I will learn to trust – we are taking baby steps. Will you take those baby steps with me? Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.
