The name Gabriella often is associated with someone that is calm, strong and independent, a homebody and trustworthy. Yep, I'd say that kinda fits me! Note from foster mom: Affectionately dubbed Miss Gabbers, is a shy sweet gal that is looking for her fur-ever home. It will take awhile for her to acclimate and show off her happy side. It took almost a month for her to let me pet her without flinching and another month before I saw her butt wiggles and happy hops! She enjoys long naps and snuggles with other dogs but no human snuggles. Tummy rubs are a favorite once she gets comfortable with you. She very much enjoys her space and doesn't like being picked up or grabbed. She does love destroying Amazon packages and cardboard is her enemy!! Not a chance that any evil boxes will sneak past her. :) Gabriella loves other dogs and is obsessed with my cat. A home with other 4 legged siblings for her to feel comfortable and take her cues from would be most beneficial for her. She is house and crate trained. She loves her crate and with door left open will use it for her naps. Gabriella would do best in a quiet home with her person either retired or that works from home where she can get lots of one on one TLC. With a patient family that will give her the time and space she needs along with some gentle words and kind pets, she will show her true beautiful nature. If you're looking for a low maintenance companion that enjoys her quiet time, she just may be a perfect fit for your family!!

Snowy is a name that means "filled with frozen rain. Not sure how that fits me. I am an 8 year old, female, poodle mix who has most likely never been around frozen rain as I have spent my life in the heat of South Texas.I'm thought to be a maltipoo ( Maltese poodle mix) but since I was found foraging for food in a Cheetos bag, it is anyone's guess as to what kind of mix I am. Foster Mom named me Snowy because I am white as the driven snow and I seemed to respond to the name. Enough about my name.... and more about me. I am a huge lap dog. I love, love, love my people and want to be around them all the time. I like to be the center of attention and I paw my foster mom when she stops petting me. I like to play with foster mom but I don't seem to know what to do with toys. I also enjoy following foster mom around the house and sleeping in her bed ( can you say spoiled?). I get along with other dogs, big and small, but do not do well with cats. I would do best in a home with older children only and with owners who like to take me for walks. I should live in a house ( vs. a condo or apartment) since I like to bark at real and imagined things outside. I am crate and potty trained and ride well in the car. So, as you can see, I am an all around good dog that is all ready for my next chapter. Are you my next chapter? If so, have your peeps call my peeps and we'll get this love affair started.

Well hi! My name is Daphne, and I was recently rescued along with my 2 brothers; Frasier and Niles. We know we may not look like your average mini golden doodles (our bodies are long and we have short legs) but our foster mom says we deserve love just the same! And what we lack in looks, we make up for in personality! I love being around people and get along great with other dogs too! I'm still working on potty training and kennel training, but I've spent my whole 5 years in a small kennel, so I'm still learning what it means to be a house dog. Like any dog, I require patience and compassion, but I'm a really good girl and will make a great addition to anyone's home once I learn the ropes!

*Please keep in mind that pups need time to decompress and become acclimated to their new environments. Sometimes they have just come to us or have been with us for some time, but this is common with all pups moving to new homes. There are many things that you may see in this time of decompression such as timidness, lack of appetite, and testing of boundaries. There are also more frustrating behaviors like a slide in potty training, resulting in urinating or defecating in the home. Many of these behaviors will change as a pup learns their new routine and family. They need patience, compassion, and most of all, time to learn they are safe and in a home they can trust. Once they have that time, you will begin to see their true self shine through. This process is not quick, it can be weeks before this comes to pass, but your new pup is worth it and will thank you for it. **This pup is not currently fixed, but will come with a spay/neuter contract stating that the rescue will cover the spay/neuter and microchip if adopter chooses to use our partner vet at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley or Saint Paul. Appointments must be set up through the rescue, not independently. ***All dogs/puppies that come through For Forever Rescue will be up to date on vaccinations (Bordetella, DHPP and rabies-if old enough) will have been treated for worms/parasites, been given a heart worm test (if old enough), will be microchipped (or rescue will cover if not done prior), will be spayed/neutered (or will come with spay/neuter contract if not done prior) and will be on heart worm preventative and flea/tick preventative

I am an incredibly handsome young adult male Poodle with the most beautiful big brown eyes anyone has EVER seen, and they will totally melt your heart! I am calm and sweet but VERY shy and startle easily especially with loud noises and commotion, I will even run away if I know foster mom is going to pick me up. Ya know when people say “He’s really stand-offish until you get to know him”. Well, that’s me to a T! I am a shy guy period, and it takes quite a while for me to trust people and let my true personality show. I know this makes it difficult to make a quick connection with me but it’s who I am! Maybe YOU’RE like me, and you understand where I’m coming from. I guess I’m just one of those loner type because even at the dog park, I may go say hello to another dog but then I’m right back to sniffing and exploring.  Anyway, I am a docile boy who has yet to meet any kids or cats, but I am good with other like-sized dogs. I will need a confident and social companion at my new home who will not only help me feel comfortable enough to come out of my shell! I am crate and leash trained, and I LOVE going outside so much that I get super excited when I know it’s potty time, I even know what “go potty” means. Thankfully foster mom takes me out every 2-3 hours and when I’m done outside, I love zooming up and down the hallway. By the way, did I mention that I am a dog park aficionado? Oh, I didn’t…well I am. In fact, the quickest way to my heart is a nice long walk or a visit to the dog park…better yet how ‘bout a nice long walk TO the dog park! Hee, hee!!! I love the dog park because I can be off leash to roam freely and explore therefore, a fenced yard at my new home would be AMAZING!!! I am not picky when it comes to treats and although I don’t ‘play’ with toys per se, I do love to stockpile them by my bed. What I DON’T like are car rides, they make me so nervous my body trembles and I drool.  I know, it’s not attractive but there’s nothing I can do about it. Hee, hee!! I really am a total sweetheart who is slowly but surely getting braver every day. All I need now is a calm, quiet fur-ever home with a patient family who will not only love me unconditionally but who is committed to helping me reach my full potential by talking to me calmly and allowing me my space. I assure you that I will NEVER give up on my people and I simply expect the same in return. Honestly, I don’t think that’s too much to ask, do you? After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day nor are amazing relationships let alone in a single meeting am I right!?!
