History: Dot is an adorable little curly-q! She needed a second chance and an escape out of the commercial breeding world. She is a bit timid and shy at first but warms up quickly with some patience. She has underwent heartworm treatment and is officially ready to find a forever home of her very own soon! A note from the foster: Meet Dot (aka Dottie) – A Sweet Miniature Poodle with a Heart of Gold Dot, lovingly called Dottie, is a 6-year-old miniature poodle who’s been patiently waiting over a year for her forever home. She came to rescue as a breeder release with multiple medical issues, including heartworm and severe dental disease. She’s now fully treated, and although she had to have all of her teeth removed, she eats just fine and never turns down her favorite soft treats. Dottie is calm and independent, happiest when she’s relaxing in a cozy recliner or trotting around a safely fenced yard. While she’s not a lapdog, she loves affection on her own terms and adores belly rubs. She’s also surprisingly playful — her favorite game is fetch with a small squeaky ball, and she delights in squeaky toys of all kinds. Though she’s not fully potty trained, she’s doing well on a regular schedule with frequent trips outside. She gets along with other dogs but doesn’t need another in the home — she’s just as happy being your one and only or sharing space with calm companions. Dottie is looking for a peaceful, patient home where she can enjoy her golden years with freedom, kindness, and a few squeaky toys by her side. History: We received a plea to help a group of male adult dogs from a local hoarding situation. It broke our hearts to see the condition the homeowner and dogs were living in. The dogs were welcomed to a temporary housing situation by a local rescuer when the homeowner was hospitalized. Unfortunately, the homeowner passed away days later. It is a heartbreaking situation and we promise to give these boys fulfilling and loving lives. They are working on their trust and confidence and doing better each day! A Note from the Foster: If you're looking for a super chill guy that loves to cuddle, this guy is for you. He has had no accidents in the house and keeps his kennel clean overnight. He's on a schedule for his meals and potty breaks. Weather permitting, he loves to go for a walk. He's great on a leash and walks close by your side. I have not heard him bark. Only during his dreams! He has had all of his vaccinations. During his exam, they discovered he has severe cataracts on both eyes, which is causing some blindness. He's waiting for an appointment with the optometrist. His condition does not restrict him from being a content dog with his low-key life! However, he will follow you wherever you go. He likes to know someone is around!

History: Ray is a super handsome boy who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with his smile and happy personality. He has his paws crossed to find his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Ray, also known as Raymond, is a sweet 7 year old neutered mini poodle that came to us as a breeder release. Raymond has come out of his shell slowly and is hilarious! He gives you the side eye when he’s not getting his way, will talk to you when it’s time for supper, his daily zoomies make me giggle, and he has started playing with small stuffed toys. He has started living his best life but is waiting patiently for someone to spend the rest of his life with. Raymond is potty trained when on a schedule. He gets two walks a day and is excellent on leash in his harness. We do have him on a special food that has helped with his reflux. He is on anxiety medication which has helped a lot in getting him settled. He is crated when I am at work, he does not like being in there and will tell you for a bit then will settle down. He is SO happy to see me when I come home he talks again telling me about his day. Because he does talk a lot I don’t think he would do well in a home with connecting walls. He sleeps with me on my bed all night. I have a 60 pound female labrador that he doesn’t mind being with, they mostly ignore each other. He loves meeting new people and dogs out on our walks. He is much more comfortable around women than men. He is my third leg when I am home so expect him to follow you around. His favorite place in the whole world is sitting on you or by you on the couch getting scratches. He loves getting tummy rubs! We have just started pulling out the blanket and he loves cuddling under that with me now. He is just the sweetest thing!

A Note from the Foster: Belvedere is a 7‑year‑old Poodle/Basset mix with a calm, easygoing personality and a love for a relaxed routine. He enjoys long naps on a dog bed and is happiest in a quiet, predictable home. Belvedere gets along well with other dogs and enjoys spending time with people. He likes attention and will happily accept head scratches, but he isn’t demanding—he’s content simply being nearby. Belvedere prefers warmth over cold, so he keeps his potty breaks quick and efficient before heading back inside. Physically, Belvedere has short little legs, soft fluffy ears, and an overall endearing look that tends to draw compliments wherever he goes. Belvedere would be a great match for an adopter looking for a low‑key companion. Belvedere has a veterinary exam scheduled for January 28, and he will be scheduled for his neuter following that appointment. He is currently available through our foster‑to‑adopt program for a family interested in welcoming him into their family while he completes his remaining veterinary care.

A Note from the Foster: Brandy came from Texas, and even though she has down south roots, she loves it here in Minnesota! She thinks snow is kinda fun to run and play in! If you are looking for a serious sweetheart with a playful and mischievous side, look no further! This girl is a bundle of fun wrapped in a sweet, tiny little package! She has energy for days, and will also gladly calm down for a good snuggle! She enjoys playing with her toys, and dashing around like a little rocket! She also will always brighten your day with her sweet kisses! Brandy warms up to almost everyone, but may have a negative history with men, as she is a little hesitant meeting new male humans. She is great with other dogs and likes all sizes of pals, she is also good with cats, though she has some boundary issues so cats may not like her. She just wants to be friends with everyone! While she likes friends, she also has lots of energy and some older, shyer, or calmer dogs may not appreciate her energy. She likes to be the dominant dog so keep that in mind when considering Brandy as a new family member! Brandy is learning the ropes of potty training. She is still young and it appears she was not potty trained in her previous life. We are working on it, but she will need someone to let her out consistently and have patience as she works through learning to potty outside. Ms. Coco is a breeder release that is loving the home life and all the wonderful things it has to offer. Coco is 10 lbs of pure silly poodle. She is coming out of her shell and discovering all things good, like couches, tennis balls, and loving touches from humans. She did have all BUT 5 teeth pulled but that doesn't stop her from eating crunchy food or chewing on doggie toys. She has a cataract in one of her eyes but that isn't any issue for her, she sees all the leaves outside and chases them when they blow in the wind (like I said she's silly!) Coco is fine with cats and really would prefer another dog in the house to show her the routine, however, the more I spend time with her, I realize that if she were an only dog she would be ok as long as her human was near so she can check in on them. Coco with going potty is rather easy, if she hops off the couch, she should probably go out to potty. Really that is her cue, just getting off the couch, she really loves the couch that much, I can only assume it's because it is way better than the kennel she spent all of her 8 yrs in before coming into rescue. Coco is very sweet; however, she is shy until she gets comfortable with a new person but that is typical of dogs in new places and new people. Coco loves chin scratches and head rubs and will almost climb in your lap if you start, so be prepared that if you start, you may never be able to stop because she loves it that much. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
