Story
I have a few non-negotiables, but I think youll find them perfectly reasonable. My name is Sid, and Im a young pug/terrier mix with a delightfully fluffy coat that makes me look like a pug who accidentally wandered into a salon and came out fabulous. Im 1-2 years old and I weigh 20 lbs. Im short and thick. Im friendly with everyone I meet, fantastic with other dogs, and an absolute gentleman on a leash. Im also trustworthy enough to have free roam of the housewhich is basically the canine equivalent of having an excellent credit score. Now, about those non-negotiables... First: I believe beds are for sharing. If youre looking for a dog who happily sleeps in a crate, we may not be a match. Crates are tiny indoor prisons, and I respectfully decline. Your bed, however? Thats where I do my best work as a professional foot warmer and occasional snuggle consultant. Second: Id really love a yard. Sunshine, fresh air, squirrel surveillanceits all part of my daily wellness routine. Ill happily join you for walks, but having my own little kingdom to patrol would make my heart very happy. Third: I want to spend time with you. I love you. I really do. And I want to hang out and spend as much time with you as possible. Where you are, THATs my happy place. Im easygoing, social, and the kind of dog who settles right into family life. Whether were hanging out in the backyard, heading out for a stroll, or ending the day with me hogging just a tiny (okay... maybe half) of your bed, Im simply happy to be with my people. So if youre looking for a hilarious little fluffball with great manners, a love of the outdoors, and just one small request for lifetime bed privileges, Im your guy. Love, Sid Sid is in foster in Broomfield, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/sid You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Meet Rivello, a sweet and affectionate pup who is ready to find his forever home! Rivello has the perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back charm. He loves going for walks, exploring new places, and taking in all the interesting sights and smells around him. His curious nature means every flower, tree, and trail is worth investigating, making him a wonderful companion for anyone who enjoys getting outside and exploring. When the adventure is over, Rivello is just as happy to curl up on the couch or relax in his crate for a cozy nap. He is incredibly friendly and loves meeting new people, often greeting everyone with plenty of kisses and affection. One of his favorite things in the world is a good belly rub, and he has a hilarious way of asking for more—he’ll happily flop against your legs and roll over in hopes of extra attention.Rivello is very well potty trained and settled into home life quickly after a brief adjustment period. He enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those his size or smaller, though he can be a little shy around larger dogs in busy, confined settings. He’s also learning that car rides can be fun and may need a little encouragement getting in and out, but once he’s settled, he loves watching the world go by from the window. With his gentle personality, loving heart, and perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, Rivello is sure to make a wonderful addition to a lucky family.

Story
Jack is a 3-4 year old Pug weighing about 16lbs.  Jack came from Mexico where he was brought to a shelter in pretty bad condition.  His eye was damaged and needed to be removed immediately.  We don't know what happened to his eye, but he has since fully recovered and is happy, healthy little guy!   Jack gets along well with all people and is an amazing little guy.  He is very snuggly and loves to follow his foster Momma around the house.  He gets along with other dogs but since he is a sassy little Pug a proper introduction is usually necessary.  He does well at the dog park and LOVES chasing his tennis balls and playing fetch. He is great on walks and a cute little snorty, happy Pug. If you are interested in adopting Jack, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2668187##

Story
We promise Tessa isn't sad... that's just her face! Tessa is a cute as can be Pug mix. We're unsure what she is mixed with, all we know for certain is that she's absolutely adorable and irresistible!. Tessa is currently between 2 and 3 years old and weighs 13 lbs. She is a bit too skinny from living on the New Mexico streets, and we are feeding her lots of extra treats in foster care. She should probably be around 16-18 lbs at a good weight. Tessa is starting out with a very sweet and kind nature. She is very friendly, just a bit shy to start. This poor girl has had a rough start and is finally learning what it's like to be loved and cared for. Tessa was found on the streets of New Mexico, and clearly was starving and way too skinny. She then ended up in a high-kill shelter, where we rescued her from. Now she has made her way to Colorado and is in a loving foster home, figuring out that life can be good! Tessa finds comfort in other dogs, and requires a home with another friendly dog. From Tessa's foster: * * * * "Tessa is perfect! She is so, so sweet. She started off very shy, but she's warmed up and is learning SO fast! You can tell she's never had the tlc she deserves. By day 3 home, she has started acting silly and playful!! She's obviously had multiple litters of pups which makes me wonder how she's lived. She's not got a single mean bone in her body. She is sooooo gentle. She is starving! And obviously underweight so I am giving her lots of extra treats. She finds comfort in my dogs, and would thrive in a home with another dog. She is so hungry, and was clearly starving before she was rescued. I am feeding her 3 times a day so she can gain some weight. She scarfs down her food and love love loves treats. She has such potential! By day 2 she was already following me around the home. Her personality is still coming out. She is mellow. Wanders around the house, just looking. She is a lovely little girl." * * * * Tessa is so beautiful...with a stunning tricolor coat that speaks of her breed mix. Tessa's forever family will need to make a lifelong commitment to periodic baths / brushing and excellent nutrition. We have found through our research and experience that a human grade, fresh diet is by far the best choice for a dog's long-term health as well as longevity. While it is a more expensive choice, it will result in far fewer veterinarian visits as well as a longer, healthier life. Our choice is Chi Dog (chidog.com) for the health of your best friend. Since Tessa is just a young girl, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion. Tessa will form firm bonds with her family and learn positive socialization skills through virtual or in-person positive reinforcement / force-free Obedience Classes. These classes will make a profound difference in a dog's ultimate behavior and in her relationship and bonding with her people. It does take time and commitment yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's Rescue feel very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement / force-free training classes that are virtual or in-person. We therefore aren't willing to adopt Tessa out to a home that doesn't choose to offer her this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement / force-free virtual or in-person trainers in your area. We're open to Tessa finding her forever home with dog-crazy retirees with lots of energy to train and enjoy a silly and super-smart young dog. A younger family that works from a home-based office would also be a great choice for a dog that would love nothing more than getting loved up periodically throughout the day. Tessa enjoys her relationships with all humans and dogs. We would prefer, however, to place her in a home with older kids (tail pulling or rough treatment will create an adult dog that's fearful of children). Older kids can also be active participants in a training regimen and friendship that's so important in a dog's development. Tessa will be up to date on her vetting / vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. She will also be spayed to stay true to our hopes for a euthanasia - free future in the canine population. If interested in this sweet as can be best friend, applications are currently being accepted. An adoption application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Tessa, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
