Story
This girl is the sweetest! We just got her spayed and she has had regular vet visits. We got her from an unlicensed breeder but she has had genetic testing (purebred pug) and has a clean bill of health! Before adopting her we only had cats. One cat she does great with. Our other cat is special needs and for some reason Greta relentlessly attacks that cat. Maybe it’s just instinctual? Sadly we need to find her a new home for that reason. We have invested so much into her and intended for her to be a permanent family member, but constantly trying to manage keeping her separated from the cat with special needs has just become too stressful for our family (and the kitty!). She LOVES everyone—especially kids. She rings a bell on the door to go potty outside. We would love for her to go to a home with someone who works from home or is home often and where she would even possibly have another dog friend. We want to take our time finding the right fit for her!

Story
Tink & Tucker, they go together like peas and carrots. This adorable pug combo are 3 years old. They were purchased as puppies from a breeder and have grown up in the same home. It’s not often we think of dogs as being truly bonded, but these two do everything together. While they’re very clearly bff’s, they ADORE humans. Their favorite place to play is directly on their human’s lap. They’re crate trained, fairly well house trained, walk fine on the leash, and are overall very entertaining little aliens (according to their foster mom). Tink & Tucker grew up with kiddos (babies on up) and are kid approved! They are also dog friendly but don’t require another dog in their home. Tink & Tucker is being fostered in Boulder, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/tink-tucker/. Story
Hi. My name is Poppy, and I am a Pug/Chihuahua mix.  I am 14 months old, weigh about nine pounds and everyone says I am cute as a button and full of personality. I love to play, take walks, ride in the car, and snuggle. I have a lot of foster mutt siblings at my foster home. I like most of them, but one is really big. Foster mama says he weighs thirty pounds! She tells me he is very friendly, but I am not so sure of that, so I have to show him who’s boss. Foster mama says I can be protective of my favorite human around the other resident mutts. She says it's understandable because I didn't have the easiest past and so I want to make sure I keep tabs on the nice humans.  My best fit forever family or human would be a patient and loving adult or adults, maybe with another dog my size.  I like treats, lots of cuddles, and sleeping curled up with my human. I also like to go wherever my human is going. Sometimes I dash out the door in excitement, but I come back when mama calls. My new family will have to understand that I am just a little thing. The world can be scary, and I need to show how brave and fierce I am. (Mama says that is the Chihuahua in me.) If you're interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you! ##1943487##

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Mikey, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** If you're searching for the most loving, silly best friend, Mikey is the pup you want to have around! Mikey is an adorable little Pug / Boston Terrier mix. He is 1 year old, and just 13 lbs. Mikey was found walking down a street in Carlsbad, NM and brought into a small shelter as a stray. Now Mikey has a ticket to Colorado to come start fresh! Farfel's Rescue and our Texas rescue partners would love to see Mikey in a home with an individual, family (older kids are preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see him left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Mikeyin a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Mikey has been fully vetted, and he is in great health, up to date on his shots, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness and then they put their heads quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm baby breath. These very loving and sweet as can be dogs are so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them lost and alone or in an overcrowded high-kill shelter scheduled for euthanasia due to lack of space. Ellie, at just 6 months old and 13 lbs (anticipated to be approximately 18 lbs when full grown) was facing the end of her life before it ever began. Farfel's rescue partners are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their back on this gorgeous girl with the great temperament. They rescued Ellie just in time to spare her life. Ellie is starting out with great energy. The excellent results of her temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a brand new life. Our sweet girl is also so beautiful with gorgeous dark eyes displaying wisdom far beyond her years. Ellie has the potential for a stunning coat. Her hair is currently shelter-tired but once on a regular protocol of care, it will be gorgeous and cottony-soft with good health. Ellie will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a salmon oil supplement are excellent regimens for longevity and hair care) to keep her coat soft and shining with great health. Ellie is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. She's also so loving and cuddly. Ellie would be very excited to be a couch or bed dog and snuggle with her favorite people at the end of an active day. She's also SO smart and engaging - very typical of both the Pug and Terrier breeds We'd love for Ellie to find her forever home with an energetic retired couple or individual with the desire to train and enjoy a silly and super-smart pup. Ellie would also be thrilled with a younger family that works from a home-based office to love her up periodically over the course of the day. Sweet Ellie enjoys her relationships with all humans and dogs. We would prefer, however, to place her in a home with older kids (tail pulling or rough treatment with a puppy will create an adult dog that's fearful of children). Older kids can be active participants in a training regimen and friendship that's so important in a dog's development. Ellie enjoys her relationships with other dogs as well and would love playing hard and then enjoying the sunshine together on a beautiful day. This 6 month old dog is at an almost perfect age..old enough to be past the initial babyish behaviors and young enough to be a sponge soaking up new training concepts with many, many healthy and active years ahead. This 13 lb cutie-pie (a great size for backyard play, long walks and snuggling close all night long) truly lights up when she feels like she's done a good job. Belly rubs and kind words will send her over the moon. Ellie desires to be a people dog and with a bit of post-shelter confidence and love, she will be overjoyed when she's finally found her forever family. Ellie doesn't require another dog to be happy. She loves her people dearly and if they're attentive and loving, this sweet and loyal girl will be fulfilled and happy. If a gentle dog is already part of a family, that's great with Ellie as well. She enjoys her time spent in the company of a gentle canine and that dog will become Ellie's best friend. Ellie will do well with any loving guardian who's invested in spending time with their pup. She's so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure. It can be a leisurely walk socializing with neighbors, a picnic in the park or a visit with family or friends. A car ride is also always fun, especially if it leads to a fun, dog-loving spot. At day's end, a spot on the couch or bed beside her favorite humans will speak to the loving nature of this little dog. Ellie will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. New research shows that fixing a dog as a puppy isn't in the dog's best interest. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Ellie's spay and microchip once she's close on one year old if one of our rescue vets is used. Ellie will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 7/10/2024. Applications are currently being accepted for this silly, sweet and loving best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Ellie please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving puppy. We're sorry, in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Meet Abigayle! This adorable little lady is ready to find her forever home! Please note that Abigayle would do best in a home with no children and human companions who understand that she needs time and space to decompress. Notes from her fosters: "Abigayle is so much fun! She's a sweet, playful, entertaining pup! She is house trained/potty trained and she sleeps thru the night in her crate. She's happy in her crate when we need to go out as well which is so nice. She's not the biggest fan of other dogs but loading your pockets with treats on walks is super helpful! We will miss this sweetheart." " Abby is a sweet loving girl, full of energy and life. Abby loves stuffed animals and rope toys, cuddles and walks outside. Abby is working on socializing as we struggle to keep our voice down and not scares other friends, once she has calmed down she loves to play with others. Come meet her!" "We have been absolutely loving having Miss Abigayle around! She is the sweetest girl ever and all she wants to do is hang out with you! She's house trained to perfection and has a couple tricks she'll gladly do for treats. We let her pick out a toy at Petco and she can't get enough of it. She doesn't seem to be the fondest of other dogs, but she's doing better with each walk! We're gonna miss her so much!" ADOPTION FEE: $425 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

These pups are in Longmont, Colorado too!

Hello, I'm Posie. I'm super bouncy and love to twirl in circles when I'm excited. I love chew toys and running fast! Children 8 and older would be best, so I don't knock them down. I pay no attention to the cats in my foster home. I have a funny tail and I'm smaller than I look in my photos.  ##1953751##
