Story
This girl is the sweetest! We just got her spayed and she has had regular vet visits. We got her from an unlicensed breeder but she has had genetic testing (purebred pug) and has a clean bill of health! Before adopting her we only had cats. One cat she does great with. Our other cat is special needs and for some reason Greta relentlessly attacks that cat. Maybe it’s just instinctual? Sadly we need to find her a new home for that reason. We have invested so much into her and intended for her to be a permanent family member, but constantly trying to manage keeping her separated from the cat with special needs has just become too stressful for our family (and the kitty!). She LOVES everyone—especially kids. She rings a bell on the door to go potty outside. We would love for her to go to a home with someone who works from home or is home often and where she would even possibly have another dog friend. We want to take our time finding the right fit for her!

Story
Tink & Tucker, they go together like peas and carrots. This adorable pug combo are 3 years old. They were purchased as puppies from a breeder and have grown up in the same home. It’s not often we think of dogs as being truly bonded, but these two do everything together. While they’re very clearly bff’s, they ADORE humans. Their favorite place to play is directly on their human’s lap. They’re crate trained, fairly well house trained, walk fine on the leash, and are overall very entertaining little aliens (according to their foster mom). Tink & Tucker grew up with kiddos (babies on up) and are kid approved! They are also dog friendly but don’t require another dog in their home. Tink & Tucker is being fostered in Boulder, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/tink-tucker/. Story
Hi. My name is Poppy, and I am a Pug/Chihuahua mix.  I am 14 months old, weigh about nine pounds and everyone says I am cute as a button and full of personality. I love to play, take walks, ride in the car, and snuggle. I have a lot of foster mutt siblings at my foster home. I like most of them, but one is really big. Foster mama says he weighs thirty pounds! She tells me he is very friendly, but I am not so sure of that, so I have to show him who’s boss. Foster mama says I can be protective of my favorite human around the other resident mutts. She says it's understandable because I didn't have the easiest past and so I want to make sure I keep tabs on the nice humans.  My best fit forever family or human would be a patient and loving adult or adults, maybe with another dog my size.  I like treats, lots of cuddles, and sleeping curled up with my human. I also like to go wherever my human is going. Sometimes I dash out the door in excitement, but I come back when mama calls. My new family will have to understand that I am just a little thing. The world can be scary, and I need to show how brave and fierce I am. (Mama says that is the Chihuahua in me.) If you're interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you! ##1943487##

Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Be lulled to sleep with the sweet soft melodic snores of Doug! Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality | This buggy eyed boy is just the sweetest happy & loving boy who loves to be with his people. Particularily the foster family kiddos!!  Bring on the kids! Story | Doug was found filthy and covered in fleas... He was not neutered or microchipped and didn't have a collar, so an owner was never located. Always make sure your pets are microchipped, all MHLM dogs are!Other Dogs | Doug LOVES other dogs and is always very excited about meeting new friends. He is always up for a playdate and a little bit of wrestlingCats | This boy is sweetheart, so with the proper introduction, no reason to think Doug wouldn't like a kitty friendChildren | Loves, loves, LOVES children and wants to be near them all the time!  Doug will be just the best family dog EVER!Training | Doug has masterd the "sit" & is doing GREAT with his potty training, good boy Doug!  Doug is still using a belly band as he does mark, which should disappear once he is fixedLeash | Doing good on his leash Activity Level | Doug is really a mellow guy, unless he is playing with a furry friend or happy to see you walk in the door, then he is one excited little guy.  Health Notes | Healthy and very very happy!Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $475, 1-6 years - $425, 7-10 years - $375, and 11+ years - $250. Purebreds are $525 regardless of age. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $600 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. July 10, 2024, 3:13 am

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Mikey, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** If you're searching for the most loving, silly best friend, Mikey is the pup you want to have around! Mikey is an adorable little Pug / Boston Terrier mix. He is 1 year old, and just 13 lbs. Mikey was found walking down a street in Carlsbad, NM and brought into a small shelter as a stray. Now Mikey has a ticket to Colorado to come start fresh! Farfel's Rescue and our Texas rescue partners would love to see Mikey in a home with an individual, family (older kids are preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see him left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Mikeyin a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Mikey has been fully vetted, and he is in great health, up to date on his shots, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.
