Hi there, I’m a pretty little Pug mix named Princess. I am about 1-1/2 years old, weigh 15 lbs and I was found in San Antonio Texas, running down the side of a highway. The lady who spotted me, chased me for about an hour, both of us nearly being hit by a car several times before I finally pooped out and gave up. I was scared at first when she picked me up, but an hour later, and with no luck finding my owner, I decided I liked her so she is now my foster mom. I am a sweet girl with gobs of playful energy and because my foster home has mostly big dogs, I play rough! I can tone it down when I play with the little dogs, but mostly I enjoy playing with the big dogs. I have an easygoing attitude and I like people however I am a bit shy when we first meet. In my foster home, we also have kids and cats and I get along great with everyone. I love to play with doggy toys and bully sticks are a favorite since all the big dogs love them. I must be a big dog trapped in a small dog body, LOL! I am well-behaved in a home and a bit independent, only barking to alert, no digging or inappropriate chewing. I don't guard my food, or have separation anxiety and I’m not even afraid of thunderstorms like some of the big dogs. I am already housetrained and know how to use a potty pad if necessary, I love going for walks, and I’m excited when invited along for a ride in the car. I’m good in a crate, but don't need one. I have free-range status at home and at bedtime, I sleep in a doggy bed… just like the big dogs. I am ready to find a forever home and I'm already in Connecticut! You can stop by and meet me but be prepared to fall in love and take me home. * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Meet the squishy Diddy! He is elligible for foster-to-adopt!! Diddy is a 7 year old, 28lbs puggle mix from the Bronx. We received Diddy as a diverted intake from the local ACC in order to prevent him from going into the overcrowded shelter system.  Diddy unfortunately has dealt with a lot in the last couple years for our knowledge. Before coming to us we know he was passed around to multiple homes and people. Due to that, Diddy can be a bit of a nervous nelly. Hes got a lot of energy but hasn’t had much routine or structure in his life so he doesn’t know where to put.  For the last several weeks Diddy has been brushing up on his good boy skills with our trainer! We have learned Diddy is such a lover boy when his needs are properly met. He enjoys frequent games of tug & fetch with his person, as well as long walks exploring the neighborhood. He’s incredibly food motivated, as most pug mixes are, which makes his training that much easier! He enjoys working for his meals throughout the day whether on walks or learning some basic obedience.  Diddy can be great with other dogs with some management. He’s quite pushy with others and may not understand when other dogs want a break from playing with him. He’s looking for an owner who is aware or willing to learn how to read dog body language and intervene if Diddy is getting a little too excited with his canine friends.  Diddy has been trained using balanced methods and has thrived. His new owner will get two free training sessions to help acclimate him to his new environment. We strongly believe Diddy will be the type of dog to need few months of decompression and structure as he’s experienced so much uncertainty in his life he can be an anxious boy. While not a requirement, we do think Diddy would be more comfortable in a quieter neighborhood with an active family. Diddy is up to date on vaccines and prevention. He is scheduled for neuter on 4/24. Should he be adopted before this date his adopters will need to bring him to and from the appointment (2455 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11223).
