Story
Hi, I'm Levi and I just landed with my new foster. Unfortunately, I was given as a gift to someone who was not able to take care of me. I'm a friendly, fun little puppy with lots of energy - I like people and other dogs, and I'm young enough to learn and be a good citizen! I would do best in a home with a yard, and with folks who are willing to take time to exercise and socialize me! Puppies need a lot of attention - so if you are able to keep up with me, apply today! Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire athttps://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic.You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.Dog's Name:   Layla (LAY0526ALAFS) formerly Maya Estimated Breed:   Rat Terrier / Pointer mixApproximate Age:   2 yearsApproximate Weight:   22 lbsCurrently Living at:  FosterAdoption Fee:   $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION:   Meet Layla — a small sweetheart who is waiting for her forever family       At just 22 pounds, this beautiful young girl is the perfect petite size for cuddling on the couch, joining you for walks, or simply being your loyal little shadow. Layla can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, you’ll quickly see her true personality shine. She does love all people, especially the ones that want a lap dog once she's done playing for the day.  When she feels safe, her sweet, submissive nature blossoms, making her an easy girl to love. She’s not a barker, so she would be okay for apartment/condo living, but she gets distracted by city activity and might do better in a quieter area.     Layla's favorite things are belly rubs and other dogs! She enjoys canine companionship and would likely thrive in a home with a friendly doggy buddy to help her continue building confidence. She really loves playing with her foster siblings, and she also enjoys watching the sights and sounds in her foster's garden. Her prey drive is pretty low; she watches the birds, bunnies, and squirrels, so she potentially could work with other animals in the home as well.     Layla is a special little gem who is searching for a caring family that will give her the love, security, and patience she deserves. Could you be the one to show Layla what forever truly means?  Apply today!  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet in obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse the adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Now that her babies are off to begin their new lives, it's finally her turn to be spoiled, cherished, and loved the way she deserves.  This precious little lady is as sweet as they come. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but give her a little time and you'll soon find her happily curled up in your lap. Once she trusts you, she's an affectionate, devoted companion who simply wants to be close to her people.  She would do best with kids over 10. Dolly Belle gets along wonderfully with other male dogs, big and small, and would fit right into a home with canine companions! She would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. At her ideal small size, she's easy to scoop up for snuggles, take along on adventures, or simply enjoy as your constant sidekick. She also has a medium to low energy level, walks beautifully on a leash, and is just as content with a leisurely stroll as she is relaxing at home by your side. Story
Meet Gemma. Part couch potato, part tiny queen, part weather critic. Gemma is a 9-year-old Rat Terrier mix with a soft heart, a love of routine, and extremely strong opinions about wet grass. If the lawn is damp, she will do everything in her power to avoid touching it — a level of dramatic commitment that her foster both respects and fears. At home, Gemma is affectionate, loyal, and happiest curled up beside her people enjoying a quiet day indoors. She loves snacks, cuddles, calm environments, and getting your full attention. Her foster says she has the sweetest little whine when she wants more affection, which is often because Gemma firmly believes cuddling is a full-time job. She’s crate trained, low energy, walks nicely on leash, and gets along well with calm dogs and cats. Excitable dogs who invade her personal space, however, are not her thing. Gemma prefers a peaceful home where everyone respects boundaries — especially during mealtime. She does guard her food and needs a family who will simply feed her separately and leave her alone while she eats. With that easy management in place, Gemma settles beautifully into home life. She’s also not a fan of being picked up, so her ideal adopter will understand that love sometimes means meeting a dog where they’re comfortable and letting trust build naturally. Because of this, Gemma is looking for an adult-only home without children where she can feel safe, understood, and relaxed. Gemma is looking for a quiet, stable home with soft places to nap, predictable routines, and people who appreciate a slightly opinionated little dog with a huge capacity for love. We just welcomed 9 year 13 lb female rat terrier mix Gemma. Fostered in Gaithersburg, MD Please apply at mirishaven.org

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Oh so small in size, but big with life and love, Milkshake loves to play and at barely a year old should have a long life to prance at your side and play with you happily in the yard, the park, or anywhere you want to go. If you go there, she will be overjoyed to be at your side. At only 13 lbs., she will fit well into a backpack or a front snuggly. Extra outgoing and friendly, she loves the whole world. For you, of course, she will reserve a very special love that will last a lifetime and then some. You can count on her to greet your friends with tail wags.  If you want to bring warmth, joy, and happiness into your life, Milkshake is your girl. Come meet her and see for yourself. Milkshake is working on housetraining and will need continued training with leash and harness. She didn't have any training in her previous home. NOTE:  Milkshake has some crate anxiety when left alone, so she needs to go to a home with another dog and a person who is home most of the time. A fenced yard is required because she still has a lot of puppy energy. If you are interested in Milkshake, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 17, 2026, 6:34 pm
