Story
Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Who is that dog with the waggly tail? MANCHY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Manchy          Best Guess for Breed:   Rat Terrier / Terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:   1.5 years as of 04/18/2025          SEX:  female   Approximate Weight:   14 lbs.   Gets Along With:  other dogs. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Vieques, PR shelter -  Manchy needs a foster or a forever home in the DC to come here on May 3!.   Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   See a video of this cutie here! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUJAtgbQXuk   Manchy is Looking For: a family to have fun with! At about 18 months of age, Manchy is still full of youthful energy and excitement. This little dog can't wait to come to the city and start exploring. She's heard there are so many exciting sights and smells, lots of other dogs to meet and these places called dog parks where dogs can run off-leash. Manchy gives each one of these a big paws up!   Rat terriers are known for being intelligent and easy to train. Expect Manchy to enjoy puzzle toys but not for long - she's likely to solve the puzzle pretty quickly. Whatever you decide to do with Manchy, we predict she will tackle it with gusto! What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update as soon as she arrives and spends some time with a foster.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life!  Please visit us online at      www.luckydoganimalrescue.org   .    BE A FOSTER!!!
