Story
Gidget is a sweet girl who loves to get her snuggle on! Her favorite places to sleep are in a lap or pressed up against her person. Gidget was adopted at 4 years old and recently returned due to the owners moving. She is reported to be good with cats and dogs. She is currently not fostered with cats. As most small dogs are, she is cautious when meeting new dogs on walks, but given time, she seems to relax. Gidget is past all of the annoying puppy behaviors. She is mature enough to listen and follow her people. She doesn't chew things and she loves to just hang out. If you think Gidget might be a good addition to your family, please apply! Please do NOT submit a Petfinder inquiry or send an email. Please JUST submit your application if you might be interested or have any questions. Thank you!

Story
Hi. I'm Horace and my foster mom wants me to tell you some things about me. First, thanks for rubbing my belly. I can tell you're the kind of person I'd like to get to know better because having my belly rubbed is the first step that leads to all out snuggling, especially after I‘ve exhausted all my puppy energy, when, my foster mom says, I'm "the best snuggler."That's right: I'm "the best." And, I'm also still a puppy, sometimes doing puppy things, like jumping and puppy-nipping when I'm excited. We're working on this. In the meantime, I am learning more every day about how to be a grown-up dog. So I already know "sit," "wait," "out," and "back" (away from door), and I'm working on "stay." When my foster family asks me to, I hand over toys and objects willingly with "drop it." I love taking walks around the neighborhood and am grateful that my foster family is kindly helping me learn not to be so shy around new things.I like treats, squeaky stuffed animals, antlers to chew on, as well as having doggie playmates. I'm crate trained-which is good for a puppy who could get into things left on his own-and I spend time in my crate when my foster family is not home. Being crated next to my dog buddy is the best. In fact, I cry if left in the crate without another dog nearby.I love other dogs. This is probably the most important thing you should know about me. The only forever home for me will already have at least one dog I can be a companion with. In fact, it's a condition for anyone who would like to make me part of their family. Here are a couple of other things you should know. Before I came to AARF, some traumatic things happened to me. I don't know what, but anyway, I had to have one of my legs removed. Does this slow me down? Ha-ha. I am also blind in one eye, so while I play and run and wrestle with my dog friends, my depth perception isn't always good so I can't catch things and sometimes I bump into things.Bottom line: I'm "the softest, cutest," happiest dog, who brings joy wherever I go. What do you think? If you'd like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website-www.animalalliesrescue.org/adoption-application-and choose me, Horace ! My adoption fee is $400 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We've been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we've started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

She is a super sweet little momma of six and now it’s her turn to be pampered in a loving forever home. She is very energetic and and clever and needs physical and mental stimulation to live her best life and keep her out of trouble.  She would probably be a great agility dog, or a Hollywood star.  This cutie is a happy girl who loves attention and affection and can't wait to be spoiled by her new forever family.   She gets along well with other canines and felines.  Will you be the lucky one to give this beautiful girl the home of her dreams?Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. I'm Handsome, but don't let my name fool you, I'm not just a pretty face. I'm a very smart, friendly young chap and full of energy.  I would love to have a fenced yard where I can run around, or find some humans who like to hike or run so I can get out there and burn some of it off.  I love hanging out with my peeps and playing with my toys and making new friends. I'm quite good with other dogs, so I won't mind sharing the love in my new home.  My favorite game? All of them (including "chase the cat" if I get the chance)! I could play all day, and when it's time to rest, I love a good cuddle.  I'm house trained and crate trained, although I would rather be with you than in the crate.   I'm really smart, too.  I will even let you know when I need to go outside.  My new home probably shouldn't have very young children -- not because I would want to hurt them, but when I get excited I sometimes play a bit rough and I might nip them or knock them over, all in good fun.  If you adopt me, I promise to be your best friend. I'll bring joy, love, and loyalty into your life. Isn't that what everyone needs? Submit an application today, I can't wait to meet you!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training.
