Story
Meet Barkley! He is about 9 weeks old and our best guess for breed is Rottweiler/Shar Pei mix. He was a bottle baby from the city shelter who had aspirated and had pneumonia. We were able to take him in and get him healthy and he’s ready to find his forever home! This little guy is full of energy, curiosity, and love. He’s always ready to play or romp around the yard, or explore new places—if there’s something to sniff, Barkley is all over it! When he’s not playing, you’ll find him happily chowing down on his favorite treats (this guy loves to eat!). Barkley is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, and he can’t wait to meet the family who will give him all the love and attention he deserves. He loves other dogs and will make an amazing companion for anyone looking for an energetic, loving pup. Barkley is located in Texas. His adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, neuter and current of flea/tick and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Barkley please complete the adoption application at the link below. Story
I`m in a foster home! To adopt me, email my foster parent at jakubalis@gmail.com.I`m Mattie! Apparently, my name has something to do with `showing strength in battle` and indicates that I am brave and courageous -- which is true. My previous chapter was not so great, but you wouldn`t be able to tell if you met me today. I am a happy, go-lucky gal and very good at making friends. Being part Rottweiler, means I have a good amount of energy and strength, and I should continue my daily studies in loose-leash walking that I have embarked on here. I also have some other basic manners under my belt, so living with me should be fun as I learn fast as long as I get paid well in yummy treats. My gorgeous black coat makes me a real looker, so you can see, I am the whole package! If you are ready for a bunch of fun and mischief with oodles of sweetness, please consider taking smart and pretty Mattie home today.

She would do best in a home without children or other pets, as she enjoys being the center of your world. While Liberty can get along with some dogs, she is selective about her canine companions and prefers to choose her friends. She’s housebroken, well-behaved, and walks beautifully on a leash. With a medium energy level, Liberty loves her outings but also knows how to unwind and relax when it's time to settle down. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will cherish your company, Liberty might be the perfect fit!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Gravy is an amazing, sweet, loving, family dog that is unfortunately aggressive with stranger dogs. 5 y/o. He is absolutely wonderful with our three young children, and I trust him 100% with humans. We have another dog that he has adjusted to and is very loving, but he has and will attack unknown dogs when confronted with them. We have tried for two years to keep him by keeping him away from other dogs, but he's gone out of our yard through an accidentally open gate twice and attacked smaller dogs out walking with their owners. He's also attacked another dog while out walking with our kids. He'd be perfect for a family that lives in a more rural area where he won't encounter other dogs. He's fully up to date on his shots and heartworm meds and has no health issues. He's an absolute teddy bear (to humans) and we'd love for someone with a loving home to take him. We adopted Gravy from Operation Paws for Homes and they are unable to find a foster to take him back.
