Story
Current Location: Charlestown, WV Hello! My name is Baby Girl! I'm coming to OPH on 3/13. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease at https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics

To learn more about Carly, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Meet the sweet and loving Carly! This beautiful girl is on the lookout for her forever home. Carly is a young gal who is eagerly awaiting the people who can give her the love she craves. Carly loves games, playing, and walks. She becomes very active after she gets comfortable and would love a home where she gets adventure and playtime with her family. Carly does her business outside and has been sleeping through the night in her foster home! Her favorite spot in the house is her dog bed where she likes to curl up and nap. She loves having a dog sibling around and learns a lot from them. Her great inner dog matches her sleek coat, lovely coloring, and deep eyes that just speak to you. Carly is still settling in and is hoping for a forever home that will give her the love and support she needs to become the dog she is meant to be!

Story
Dior is a 2 1/2 year old rottweiler -pitbull mix. Her features resemble a rottweiler, but she’s on the smaller side (pitbull sized). She is friendly, house trained, and good with children and other pets. Dior has had a rough start to life as I am aware of two previous owners, the most recent being a homeless man. Do to inconsistency and being bounced around, Dior has developed separation anxiety. I am currently fostering her to keep her off the streets and out of a shelter, but I cannot fully commit to adopting her as I already have pets of my own and not enough space to keep another. Dior deserves a loving home with someone who is patient and familiar with caring for dogs. If that’s you, please submit an application and give this wonderful girl the life she deserves.
