Story
Dior is a 2 1/2 year old rottweiler mix. Her current owner his homeless and can no longer care for her (posting on their behalf). Dior is urgently in need of a new forever home. She is well behaved, house trained, and gets along with children. Dior will do best in a home with no other dogs or any cats. I recommend a person with dog experience in light of the circumstances she will be transitioning from.

Story
Izy arrived to the shelter underweight with missing hair and goo filled eyes. Now in foster, Izy is making strides to become the best version of herself. Here is what Izy`s foster has to share about this soulful girl:General personality: Izy is gentle and deeply affectionate, carrying a quiet sweetness despite a past marked by overbreeding and neglect. She leans in close, seeking love and reassurance, and finds comfort in your presence above all else. Always attentive to your cues, she looks to you for direction and approval, trusting you completely. Loyal to her core, Izzy becomes your constant shadow- soft, devoted, and eager to belong. Daily routine: I wake up at sunrise and take Izy out for a short 5-10min walk. Then we spend a half hour inside before she eats breakfast around 8:30am and settles into her crate for a nap. At lunch time, she goes out for another potty break, followed by enrichment and light training along with her ear ointment application and a gentle brushing. After that, she naps again in her crate until dinner time around 4:30, rounding out a routine that keeps her relaxed, cared for, and engaged.Izy`s foster also shares that she housebroken, friendly with dogs, low energy, and walks perfectly on the leash. Izy sleeps through the night, loves food, and scratches. Izy is not a fan of the cold weather, preferring to stay indoors in her bed.

She would do best in a home with no children or older children who will respect her boundaries and no other pets, as she enjoys being the center of your world. While Liberty can get along with some dogs, she is selective about her canine companions and prefers to choose her friends. She’s housebroken, well-behaved, and walks beautifully on a leash. With a medium energy level, Liberty loves her outings but also knows how to unwind and relax when it's time to settle down. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will cherish your company, Liberty might be the perfect fit!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life.
