Story
Dior is a 2 1/2 year old rottweiler mix. Her current owner his homeless and can no longer care for her (posting on their behalf). Dior is urgently in need of a new forever home. She is well behaved, house trained, and gets along with children. Dior will do best in a home with no other dogs or any cats. I recommend a person with dog experience in light of the circumstances she will be transitioning from.

If you are interested in adopting this dog,  please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic.You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.Dog's Name:   Liberty (LIB1124OWSFS)Estimated Breed:   Rottweiler / Black & Tan Coonhound Mix  Approximate Age:  5 yearsApproximate Weight:   70 lbsCurrently Living at:   BoardingAdoption Fee:   $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Liberty is a loving and devoted girl who thrives on attention from her people. She would do best in a home with no children or older children who will respect her boundaries and no other pets, as she enjoys being the center of your world. While Liberty can get along with some dogs, she is selective about her canine companions and prefers to choose her friends. She’s housebroken, well-behaved, and walks beautifully on a leash. With a medium energy level, Liberty loves her outings but also knows how to unwind and relax when it's time to settle down. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will cherish your company, Liberty might be the perfect fit!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Izy A565614 Meet Izy Izy came to the shelter as a stray, and it’s clear she hasn’t had an easy life. She’s underweight, has some skin issues, and shows signs of having been overbred—but none of that has dimmed her gentle, loving spirit.Izy is quiet and calm, the kind of dog who seems to be patiently waiting for someone to be kind to her. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s happy and friendly, with a warm soul that shines through in the soft way she approaches people. She knows how to sit, takes treats oh-so-gently, and did great going potty several times outside. She absolutely melts for pets—especially on her itchy skin—and you can almost feel how much comfort and relief simple affection brings her. Izzy hasn’t been in playgroup yet, but she doesn’t need much to be happy: a calm home, a soft place to rest, and a human who will show her the love she’s always deserved. If you’re looking for a sweet, grateful companion who will return your kindness tenfold, Izy is ready to give her heart to you. Watch my video: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTv999SjqOU/?igsh=MWQ4NGhzNjQwajZzbw==Izzy is available to all adopters!Animal Services Division3750 Brown Station RDUpper Marlboro, MD301-780-7200
