Come meet Sadie and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (04/27) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring, MD (12020 Cherry Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904)! Name: Sadie Best Guess for Breed: Rottweiler and lab mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of April 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 65 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Sadie is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie landed in the shelter through no fault of her own. She's eagerly looking forward to having her own humans again. Long sniffy walks, romps in the park, all those adventures to burn off that awesome young-dog energy - yes, please! Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed round out her wish list. What she wants most of all, though, is to know she's safe and loved and under her own roof. To know she's a cherished part of a family. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship and to always put a smile on your face. What do you say? Is Sadie the one you see by your side?What Shelter Staff Say About Sadie: Sadie spent some time on the Dogs Playing For Life Canine Center campus in Florida. There, she received basic training and enrichment, and socialized with other dogs. Sadie worked on the Sit and Place commands there. She also worked on loose leash walking and sitting at open doors, waiting to be released to go out. She also got to play with enrichment toys such as food-filled Kongs and food puzzles. In playgroup, she's been very dog social and was really good with dogs who needed a little help socializing with others. She loves wrestling with pup pals! What My Foster Says About Me: She is the sweetest and kindest pup ever. Does phenomenal in the crate and is quiet, never barks. Loves the dog park. Loves belly rubs and is very open/sweet to meeting other dogs on walks. She’s super social. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
