Story
Nelly is a sweet, calm, 7-year old Rottweiler/German Shepard mix who is modest in her needs and super easy to handle.Nelly likes her snack and was oh so happy to munch on the Milk Bone that I fed her! We easily leashed up and went outside. Nelly was a pro navigating the maze of kennels and lead me straight to the exit door!Once outside Nelly enjoyed the fresh air and took advantage of the outdoors to take care of business, so she may be housebroken.Nelly has beautiful short gold fur and attractive white markings on her face and chest. She has a sweet smile and cute floppy ears too!At 7-years old, Nelly has pep in her step, appears well cared-for (and definitely well-fed!), and is eager to join your family. Her positive vibes and willing nature will be useful when introducing her to your family’s routine. And the best news: Nelly is available to all adopters!Come and meet Nelly - you’ll be pleasantly surprised!Check out my video by copying and pasting link below into a browser window:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMmj08bv1DcPrince George’s County Animal Services Division3750 Brown Station RoadUpper Marlboro MD301-780-7200

Story
Bruce is 1 year and 2 months old, fully potty trained, and super smart. He’ll wake you up in the morning when he needs to go outside. He’s very energetic and playful, so he’d do best with someone who enjoys walks, playtime, or has a backyard where he can run around. He loves people and is very interactive — including playful nibbling during play. He’s a fun, loving dog who just wants attention and time with his person. I work two jobs (electrician and college dining hall) and don’t have the time anymore to give Bruce the activity and attention he deserves. I’m the main one taking care of him, and the rest of my household isn’t really dog-oriented. Because of that, I’m looking for a new home where he can get more time, love, and engagement. Just want Bruce to be with someone who can really enjoy him and give him the life he deserves.

Story
Hunter will be 3 years old in January. He has a lot of energy. He doesn't like listening to a woman's calm voice. He is calmer with men. Hunter needs space to run around, an apartment will not be good for him since he has high energy. He can be very sweet. We got home when he was 6 weeks old so he is family. I need someone who will show him love not someone who will mistreat him. Also, I would like to check on him, whether by text or call, from time to time, to see how he is doing. Only experience adopted please. Thank you.

Story
Lady is a spayed female beautiful Rottweiler, born on 12/30/2020. She is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. Lady is the biggest sweetheart and adores attention. She flops on her back for tummy rubs and loves every moment of attention she receives. Lady was a breeding female until she was hit by a car. The breeders were not interested in spending any money on her recovery since she probably wasn’t going to be able to continue to make them money. So our small, grass roots Humane Society took her under our wing. She lived at the vets for quite some time and now is at a foster home. She’s happy and thriving, and again, the sweetest ever without any aggression at all. She has a small hitch in her giddy-up, which would probably benefit from dog glucosamine and might require other medication to keep her comfortable as she ages. We can send a video so a potential adopter can see how she gets around. She could really use a home where she is an inside dog who gets to live the life of Riley. If interested, let’s see if she’s the right match for you. Adoption fee $125. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina.     Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.December 3, 2025, 1:12 pm

Bronco is 7 years old, playful, and well-trained looking for his forever home. He loves his freedom and truly enjoys having yard space where he can run, chase, and explore. If you have a nice-sized yard, Bronco will be in his element. He great with other dogs when properly introduced and has lived happily with cats he loves to play with them. Bronco is also wonderful with children and previously lived with two toddlers, showing how gentle and loving he can be around little ones. Bronco is very easy to train, quick to learn, and highly adaptable, making him an excellent fit for many types of households. Along with his playful spirit, he is also a natural protector an amazing guard dog who will watch over and love his new family with loyalty and devotion. This fun-loving boy has lots of energy and would thrive in a home that can match his playful nature while also appreciating his protective side.
