Story
Hello, my name is Sully! I am a super sweet young guy, and come all the way from America, but I am SO ready to be a Canadian boy! I am a very sweet and affectionate boy, and love having fun in life. I love playing, going for walks, and spending quality time with my humans! I like other doggos, but I don't like sharing my valuables very much. I am asking for a home with no other dogs, just so I don't boss one around too much. I do good with all people, and have a great personality! If you're interested in a handsome boy like me, then please fill out an application!

Story
Rags is a very friendly and chill Rottie mix who was luckily rescued by his foster. He was found walking down a median on a busy road in Detroit. Rags currently lives with several other dogs and is very loving and sweet. It appeared he was not very well taken care of when found a couple months ago. He has an overbite which was probably congenital that causes his tongue to stick out. He has recently completed heartworm treatment. Rags is about 72 pounds and estimated to be about 8 years old. Rags has a good personality and would love to finally find a wonderful new family to love and care for him. This fellow definitely deserves it. Please consider making him a new addition to your home or companion for another friendly dog.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=26, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41) completely. If you are unable to send in this format, please be prepared to provide this documentation in another way prior to adoption.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other dogs/cats. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This handsome boy is ready for his forever home. He is current on vaccinations, preventions, chipped and neutered. He looks like he has some Australian Shepherd in him and has some Rottie markings, but this is just a guess. Going to guess he will be large sized when full grown. He is currently in the 50-60 lbs range and growing! He does great with other dogs and is using the doggy door to go outside and potty. He can be a bit of a velco dog with his people. He has been with rescue since 8 weeks old, so he will need a family who understands he will need time to get used to new people, a new home and a new routine. He is very loving and affectionate and will curl up by your feet at night on the floor. His ideal family will have a physically fenced yard, lots of room to run and play and kids over 10 who can be his very best friend! He is housed in Tennessee right now but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They will deliver to a destination near you. Their transport goes every other weekend to the Northeast and the Great Lakes.

Story
Hi there! My name is Rodney! I`m about 2 years old, weigh about 71lb, and I`m a Rotty/Shepherd Mix!I`m a very good boy, and I know sit and shake! I could benefit from more positive obedience training though.I would do best in a home with kids 14 and up, due to my large size, and I would need to be in a cat free home!I would not be suitable for an apartment or mobile home, and I will need a fenced in yard. However, due to my athleticism, I need to be supervised while outside!I love to play fetch and love to go on walks!I`m up to date on my vaccines, however I will need to see my new veterinarian within 2 weeks of my adoption to ensure that I stay healthy and keep on a regular vaccination schedule. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. To help speed up the application process, it is recommended that you complete the online application form found at the link below.https://animalcontrol.macombgov.org/AnimalControl-AdoptionApplicationMy adoption fee is $50.
