She approaches life with enthusiasm, whether she`s bouncing around the yard, greeting her favorite people, or simply soaking up every bit of attention she can get.Alice loves spending time outdoors and has a playful spirit, although she hasn`t quite discovered the magic of toys yet. We`d much rather imagine her future filled with adventures, long walks, backyard zoomies, hiking trails, and relaxing evenings with a frozen peanut butter Frisbee to happily lick clean.She`s doing well on a leash and enjoys her walks, though she may pull a bit when she spots someone she knows and can`t wait to say hello. Alice will likely need a little continued guidance with potty training, but she`s already made great progress since arriving at FMAR.Alice has shown curiosity toward cats, but we aren`t sure how she`d do living with one. She hasn`t been formally introduced to other dogs yet, though she perks up with interest whenever she sees or hears one from afar. Rags is a very friendly and chill Rottie mix who was luckily rescued by his foster. He was found walking down a median on a busy road in Detroit. Rags currently lives with several other dogs and is very loving and sweet. It appeared he was not very well taken care of when found. He has an overbite which was probably congenital that causes his tongue to stick out. He had heartworm disease when we first got him but he was treated and is now healthy and heartworm negative. Rags is about 75 pounds and estimated to be about 11 years old. Rags has a good personality and would love to finally find a wonderful new family to love and care for him. This fellow definitely deserves it. Please consider making him a new addition to your home or companion for another friendly dog.

This gentle giant would much rather be pressed against you on the couch than playing the tough guy - and at his size, he makes a pretty effective weighted blanket. Ruger is house and crate trained and gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids. He loves carrying around his stuffies, socks, and slippers, and he has the cutest way of announcing himself with a deep little “Ruuuuuuuu.” At heart, though, he’s happiest when he’s getting plenty of love. If your ideal cuddle buddy happens to be a heavyweight, Rugger is ready to report for couch duty. ------------- Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
