Poppy is a gorgeous spayed female shar-pei that is looking for her forever home. Originally from a shelter, she is looking for a home with an experienced shar pei (or similar breed) owner. Poppy needs a strong owner that will take the pack leader role. Poppy has had professional training and knows sit, stay, recall, heel, place (for her dog bed) and more. Poppy would do best in a home that embraces crate training or is willing to use a crate for limited situations (initial transition to home, strangers or workmen in home, etc). Poppy also appears to be fine with cats. She is healthy, is on no medications or special foods. She walks very well on a leash, is housetrained, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines. She loves to give kisses, seeks out attention and generally is a great dog! She would love a yard, is up for long walks or hikes! Poppy came in with another dog and does best with submissive or neutral dogs. She isnt a fan of dogs running up on her and barking at her. She loves rules and boundaries and does best with them. She has a gorgeous coat (needs a little TLC witb good food and some fish oil and a bath right now) and a easy temperament to match. She rides well in a car, walks on a leash and knows sit. She knows how to use a dog door and is potty trained. We had her to our vet and her eyes looked great! Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows "sit", "stay", "heel" and "come", and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Meiko was found as a stray in Northern California and landed in a shelter. He was underweight, already neutered and his age is estimated at 6 years. Meiko is good with other dogs and is friendly with people (even the vets!). He is possessive of his favorite bone and will give you a little growl if he thinks you will take it, so he probably shouldn't be around young kids (who tend to wave crackers/food in their hands and may want to borrow a yummy dog bone without asking). Meet Avia! Sweet Mama Avia is all done being a mom to her 14 adorable pups and is ready to find her forever home. We believe she’s a young Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Avia is very smart and also a quick learner. She knows sit, lay, and leave it. She also knows her name very well and let’s you know when it’s time to go outside. She’s a huge cuddler and loves to sleep next to her foster mom. She loves playing and chasing balls but not really into bringing them back. She’s super polite and gentle when you hand her treats. She’s a great walker and doesn’t pull on the leash. She does get startled by joggers, bikes and scooters and sometimes barks at them on walks but with a little training that is something she can learn to grow better accustomed to.
