Meet Missy: Your Future Furry Best Friend! Name: Missy Age: 3-Years-Old Breed: Shar Pei Mix Gender: Female Temperament: Energetic, Lovin, Snuggly About Missy: Meet Missy! She is an active, loving, cuddly gal. All she wants is to sniff and get chin scratches. Missy takes a little coaxing to get her into the car, but once she was in she settles quickly. She is great with other dogs, kids, and people! She can be little shy/skittish at first but once she trusts you she is very affectionate. Missy needs to work on some basic leash training but after a few corrections and some practice she started to get the hang of it. Once she got her energy out she did a lot better learning commands and walking on the leash. She is food and praise motivated, so training will come naturally! Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows "sit", "stay", "heel" and "come", and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Toast is a happy guy that ended up being surrendered because his owner's housing didn't allow dogs. This young guy is very friendly, likes other dogs, rides well in a car. He could use some basic training and pulls a bit on a leash, but we can work with that...the important thing is his kind personality. Toast has lived with kids, so no issues there. Meet Kyoto! Kyoto is a 43 pound male that came into the shelter with wounds down his back (flea control that burned? something else?) that are almost completely healed. He jumped right up to our volunteer who picked him up and immediately gave kisses. Kyoto is really good with other dogs. **Friendly:** Kyoto gets along well with other dogs and is expected to be good with children and other pets. **Leash Training:** Walks on a leash with no problem. **Bath Time:** Loves bathing and enjoys every moment of it! **Eater:** Enjoys eating and hasn't refused anything yet. **Potty trained:** Uses outside for potty needs. **Loyal:** Stays close to his human inside and outside.
