I bought Polo at 6 weeks old for my then 10 year old son, but his mom wouldn’t let him keep him. I have had him for four years. Polo very well mannered pet, great behavior, very loyal, and intelligent. If conditions were better I wouldn’t let him go. He is 4 years old. I am looking for him to go to a great family or someone that needs a great companion to keep them company. He doesn’t do a lot of uncontrolled barking, keeping the environment very peaceful. He likes to go outside but loves to be in the house. He would always lay next to me when I’m painting or even when I was allowed to take him to events. He is the prime definition of “man’s best friend”.

No Botox facelift for this girl. She’s proud of her wrinkles! Chanel is a two-year-old 41 pound Shar-Pei that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/30 along with Vanilla. They came from the same household and are both fixed. Both were hanging out by a storage building, but at some point Vanilla left to go who knows where? Concerned citizens that knew that Chanel was there during the storm set up a box with food and water (see last photo). Now they both deserve a second chance! Chanel has some hair missing from behind her ears apparently from fly bites. Chanel is very loving and gives kisses. She’s a happy tail-wagging girl. She’s also sweet, gentle, and calm. She doesn’t appear to know the sit command, but wants to please so would be glad to learn. She doesn’t have a problem meeting other dogs. She walks well on a leash. She appears to be housebroken! And she loves Vanilla! They both want to be inside dogs and cherished. Please open your heart to these two sweethearts.

Vanilla needs TLC and a slow introduction for him to completely relax. He can be standoffish until trust is established. Vanilla is a three year old 34 pound Shar-Pei that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/30 along with Chanel. They both came in as strays. I am led to believe that they came from the same household and were found around a storage building. They are a bonded pair. They are both fixed. Vanilla depends on his sister to walk on a leash. Otherwise he can be a little stubborn. He needs that female influence!!!! Vanilla has a lot of potential. Once he’s comfortable with you, he will accept treats from you. He takes them gently. He will wag the stub of his tail. He even gives kisses! He’s sweet, calm, gentle, cautiously friendly, affectionate, and alert. He appears to be housebroken. And he wants to go home with you and be an inside dog … along with Chanel. They will keep you entertained and give you lots of loving!

Meet Bailey, a 1 year old pumpkin spice shar pei with enormous love and loyalty to give. This gorgeous girl just completed heartworm treatment and is looking for her forever family. She’s quiet, dog friendly, walks great on a leash, and has great manners around the house. While she doesn’t show interest in toys or balls, she does LOVE affection of any kind and will politely ask you for pets any chance she gets. In baileys foster home, she enjoys hanging out with the family and finding various comfy surfaces wherever she can. She shows no signs of destructiveness and spends most of her days lounging.She gets along with both of her small foster siblings, but prefers the calmer senior male to the younger less than 1 year puppy in the house.

We do have 2 other dogs and being the only female, the boy dogs seem to make her anxiety go up. She's not aggressive with people or other animals. She just has anxiety cause we are gone so much. We just want her to go to a place she can have room to run around and have a good amount of attention.
