Oreo is beloved family dog being rehoused. He was my mother emotional support pet. My mom passed away Dec 2024 and I was left to care for Oreo. I don’t have his shot records they were lost when cleaning out my mom’s home after she passed. Oreo is an elderly dog around 9 years old he’s somewhat trained he goes to the door when he has to go but, sometimes would be stubborn and use it inside home. He’s very chill I have 4 daughters he runs through the house and play with. Some days he can be a little cranky but, overall a good pet to have. He enjoys walks at parks and he’s very quiet unless someone knocks at the door. I’m looking for individuals who loves pet that will take great care of him.

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
