We took one look at him and had to give him a safe exit! Koby settles into his foster home more and more each day. He'll need a patient family to help him realize he is in his forever home and has people who won't abandon him. Koby is getting along with all the critters he's shacking up with, giving polite sniffs and tail wags. He prefers his people, however, and will immediately jump in a lap when one pops up. Koby is a snuggle monster, wanting to always be close to you. He is working on his house- and crate-training, and already has pretty good leash skills. His ideal home will be on the quieter side at least initially, so he can settle in and realize he is home. Adoptions must be about within an hour of Landenberg, PA for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Eloise! Eloise is a 12-year-old, 17 lb, Shih Tzu mix who was found as a stray and brought to a shelter. She was suffering from bad skin infections and really needed some tender loving care. Eloise received a dental and lots of medicated baths to heal her skin. She requires a daily thyroid pill which costs around $2.00 a month. Eloise also has allergies which led to her skin problems. To avoid a recurrence, she takes a daily allergy pill which costs $90 a month. She also needs to be on a prescription diet and 25 lbs of food costs $125. Eloise is fully potty trained and can go outside or use pee pads. She has good vision and hearing and walks well on a leash. Eloise is pleasantly plump and likes to keep her stairs to a minimum. She enjoys other dogs and sleeps quietly at the end of her foster mom’s bed. Eloise doesn’t like to be over-handled so an adult-only or a home with older children would be ideal. Eloise still has some pep in her step and really enjoys walks and playing with squeaky toys. She loves to cuddle and get pets and dreams of a home where she gets lots of attention. Adoptions must be within a reasonable drive from Wayne, PA for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Margo! Margo is an 11-year-old, 10 lb, Shih Tzu/Maltese mix who was found as a stray. Being both blind and deaf, she was shaking like a leaf when she was rescued. Margo was so matted and dirty that her eyes were stuck together; so she quickly received a good grooming. The adorable face hidden underneath immediately captured everyone’s hearts. Although she cannot see or hear, Margo is very smart and learns to navigate new surroundings with her foster mom’s help. She is fully potty trained and can also use a pee pad. Margo needs help with stairs and for her safety would prefer a fenced-in yard. Margo can walk on a leash and happily sleeps in a dog bed in a large dog pen. She is good with dogs and kids but older kids are preferred due to her special needs. Margo eats Fresh Pet food and is scheduled for her dental this week. Margo is an amazing pup whose ideal home would have an owner who was home a lot of the time. Although she can be independent, she prefers to stay with her foster mom lounging on the couch, being carried around, or sunning outside. She surprised everyone by showing her love for the water and going for a swim in the pool. Margo deserves everything life has to offer and we hope it can be with you. Please apply today!
