Ginny is a 3 year old spayed female shih tzu/poodle/bichon mix who weighs 16 pounds. These dogs were rescued from poor living conditions by another organization, but they were at capacity and asked for our assistance. While a little shy, these girls have already started wagging their tails and we know that they will make excellent additions with some TLC. They have started working on potty training, spend lots of time curled up on their comfy beds and everything is so new to them. These dogs have tested well with other dogs and would do best in homes with another dog and a fenced in yard until they learn the ropes. After spending her life in a kennel having puppies for profit, being in a home is a whole new experience. Her foster family is being patient with her and giving her the space she needs to feel safe. Their pack of dogs is showing her how to be a dog and that people can be trusted. We will be looking for a home for her with other dogs to help her confidence and comfort. She seems fine with cats. She would benefit from a securely fenced in yard for house- and leash-training. One thing Blair has realized is quite enjoyable is having quiet time sitting with her foster dad on the couch. She doesn’t initiate the interaction, but she will relax a bit as they watch TV together. This little lady has loads of potential, all she needs is a chance.
