He simply needs someone who will let him settle in at his own pace and earn his trust.Tiger is litter trained but has not yet been seen by a veterinarian and is not neutered. He appears healthy overall, but he occasionally makes a wheezy or coughing sound, so his new family should plan to have him examined by a veterinarian.Tiger would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who understands that building trust takes time. Sunshine, a male orange tabby was born around April 2020. He was found by a resident and turned into the Rescue. He occasionally talks at meal times. Sunny hasn’t met dogs or kids under age eight. With proper introductions he gets along with most cats and he’d enjoy another cat for a pal. The foster mom says he is sweet, smart, friendly with known people, and affectionate on his terms. Sunny is shy/avoidant of strangers. At this stage, he is uncomfortable being picked up. Sunny likes playing with interactive wand toys and watching birds at the window. He has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Are you the patient person willing to give him time to trust and blossom in a new setting and you be rewarded with a special relationship with him? This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. Stormy is an easy-going, confident, orange tabby male with white undersides and socks, who was born in March 2025. He gets along with the foster’s active dog and both male and female cats. Stormy is friendly with strangers. He face rubs, head butts, and ankle rubs. He is quiet, gives kitty kisses, and is kitten-active. Stormy is okay being picked up and carried. When you sit, he jumps into your lap or lets you place him there. Stormy stays for short periods of brushing or petting. Then he is off to play with cat toys or watch wildlife out the window. He follows you around the house wanting to sit near you. Stormy hasn’t met children, but if they are gentle and respectful he should do fine. He enjoys playing with interactive wand toys, also. He was found with an injured leg and was unclaimed. He uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Story
Mellie is a 13 year old Tabby cat, who is declawed, spayed, and does not try to leave the house. She's kind, and loving, and mostly sticks to herself. But she has never been a big fan of kids or other pets, and has recently gone into extended hiding trying to avoid our 3 kids and 2 other cats. My parents took her in for a few months, and she's adjusted great! She's so kind, just wants to rub your leg when you're around, and will sit close by when you're watching TV. She's never had an accident, she very clean. No issues with health or concerns. We love her, which is why we are trying to find a better housing situation for her, as our house does not make her happy. Would love to give her to a loving older couple who wants companionship. She will thrive. We have the ability to keep her in a separate room from the other cats for the time being, but know this is not a permanent solution. She's also excellent at killing mice! Please let me know if Mellie would be a good fit for your home!

I received Kanna (kaw-nuh) from my sister who got her as a kitten for her child who was wanting a cat. She came to realize that Kanna was nervous around children and often hid most of the time. That's when I decided to adopt her about 12 years ago. She's a very quiet well behaved cat who mostly keeps to herself, but will usually ask for cuddles and pets once a day, maybe twice. She has lived with other cats in the past and she will tolerate them, but she does best without other pets in the house. She is afraid of dogs and will hide if one is nearby. She would do well with older children who can be calm, quiet, and gentle, but she will be skiddish around small children. She loves sunlight and warm spots. She likes pate and dry food. She has not been declawed so we keep scratching posts in the house for her. She will be hesitant to strangers at first but with time and developing trust she will become very cuddly and affectionate.

Benford & Wrenn were found on a property out in the country with scrapes on the side of their faces consistent with being thrown from a vehicle.  Benford had a broken back leg.  The pair stuck together, finding friendly humans who reached out to us.  Benford & Wrenn stick together, seeking each other out, cuddling together.  Benford is a typical orange male, a bit dorky, generally clueless, and people-oriented.  Wrenn is more cautious than her brother but follows him wherever he goes.  Benford's leg healed beautifully, no amputation needed.  The pair have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper.  They are both negative for FIV and feline leukemia.  Someone out there will be adopting an amazing pair.  They are truly bonded.  The pair is available for adoption for $120.   Please note that Benford & Wrenn are located in New Prague, MN. 1900+ adoptions and counting. . .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 12, 2026, 2:43 pm
