Story
Charlotte! 8 years old. A sweet lady who purrs like a lawnmower and loves a cuddle. She loves to sleep in bed, sometimes by your feet or she’ll cozy up right by your head. She loves to lay on her back and show you her tummy. She always greets everyone at the door and says hello (hoping for some head scratches upon arrival). Charlotte is on the hunt for a family after a house fire destroyed her old home. They moved to an apartment but she was stressed living in such close quarters with other dogs and cats. Charlotte does very well as an only pet and would prefer to stay that way. She has declawed front paws. Charlotte used to free feed but has switched to an automatic feeder and is working on losing a little weight so she stays happy and healthy. (Currently in a foster home).

Story
This cute boy is in need of a new home. I’ve had Simba for about 2 weeks after adopting him from a previous family and he’s in need of someone who has more free space and possibly children. He’s a very sweet boy who loves to be pet and cuddled. I personally work long 12hr shifts and feel that I can’t give him the attention he requires. Rehoming immediately if possible.

Story
Hi hi! This is Six, he is a little over 1 year old and we are trying to find him a new home. I got him when he was just 4 weeks old and have been raising him alone ever since. Because I am moving to be closer to family, as much as I would love to, I unfortunately will not be able to keep him in my care any longer. Which is why we are looking for a new family for him. Six is a very lively cat, he’s very communicative, friendly, and absolutely loves cuddles. He also is a very social cat and enjoys the company of other animals. He is a little shy and it takes him a while to warm up to people, but he is such a sweetheart once you get through to him.

Story
Sweet September is a 13 year old cat with a perfect senior blood panel (done June 2025) and a love for cuddles. He came to us in 2014 from the Humane Society and was living his best life in a one cat home. He tolerated adding an additional cat (who recently passed in 2025), but his stress has gone through the roof since adding two dogs and a toddler. I would say he would do best in a home where he’s the only fur baby. We love September, and that‘s what prompted us to find him a home where he can retire and live stress free.

Story
We have had Sunny since he was 3 months old, and he is now 11. He is a big cuddly cat with many vocalizations. He enjoys being outdoors part of the time even in cold weather, and is a great hunter, jumper and climber. Great bed snuggler. He is very good about using the litter box. For about the past two years, he has had occasional cysts on his face and around his eyes, which the vet says are not cancerous. No special diet, although he enjoys treats and table scraps. He has anxiety about going in the cat carrier to the vet, and would benefit from mild sedation for those trips. He is initially wary of strangers but warms up quickly. Afraid of dogs. Unknown how he would interact with young children.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $300 plus taxDreamsicle, affectionately known as Dreamy, is a beautiful, quiet cat with an exceptionally gentle nature. He’s a bit shy and apprehensive, preferring to observe before joining in. During group playtime, he often watches the other cats interact with toys. On his own, he enjoys playing on his own at his own slow, thoughtful pace. Dreamy is a submissive, sweet boy who enjoys being petted—especially chin rubs—and is comfortable being held. With time, he grows friendlier and more confident each week. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and loves playing and cuddling with them. Dreamy hasn’t met a dog yet, so his reaction is unknown.  If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxMr. Ginger is a total love bug! He loves chin and head scratches. Quite the vocal and silly little guy. He loves the treat bag sound and he has successfully gained weight. Will zoomie around the house despite his weird legs! The fosters have been finding him up on the couch even. We can’t seem to fully knock out his little goopy eye, but it comes and goes. The meloxicam has helped him settle in a bit more. He takes it like a champ in the mornings. The foster created a litter box out of a storage tote with the side cut out and using pee pads with him because he has gotten into the habit of just putting his front end in the litter box and not the back (Photo's of set up available upon request). He is doing well with the vinyl and carpet but we would recommend single level home or minimal stairs. He goes down stairs fine but struggles going up. He can be testy still if he doesn't like the way you are touching him, he needs a no child home.
