I received Kanna (kaw-nuh) from my sister who got her as a kitten for her child who was wanting a cat. She came to realize that Kanna was nervous around children and often hid most of the time. That's when I decided to adopt her about 12 years ago. She's a very quiet well behaved cat who mostly keeps to herself, but will usually ask for cuddles and pets once a day, maybe twice. She has lived with other cats in the past and she will tolerate them, but she does best without other pets in the house. She is afraid of dogs and will hide if one is nearby. She would do well with older children who can be calm, quiet, and gentle, but she will be skiddish around small children. She loves sunlight and warm spots. She likes pate and dry food. She has not been declawed so we keep scratching posts in the house for her. She will be hesitant to strangers at first but with time and developing trust she will become very cuddly and affectionate.

Sunshine, a male orange tabby was born around April 2020. He was found by a resident and turned into the Rescue. He occasionally talks at meal times. Sunny hasn’t met dogs or kids under age eight. With proper introductions he gets along with most cats and he’d enjoy another cat for a pal. The foster mom says he is sweet, smart, friendly with known people, and affectionate on his terms. Sunny is shy/avoidant of strangers. At this stage, he is uncomfortable being picked up. Sunny likes playing with interactive wand toys and watching birds at the window. He has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Are you the patient person willing to give him time to trust and blossom in a new setting and you be rewarded with a special relationship with him? This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. Meet Trent! Trent is a mellow, brown tabby kitten born in March of 2026. He tolerates the foster’s active dog and gets along with the adult male cats. He hasn’t met children, but if they are gentle he should do well. Trent is very friendly with trusted folks and cautiously friendly with strangers after about 45 minutes. Trent will sleep with you for a couple hours at night and then leaves. When he hears you coming, Trent is at the door waiting. He is okay being picked up and held for a short time and then he wants down to scamper about playing. Trent enjoys interactive toys and playing by himself. He is quiet until meal time. He will let you place him in your lap and stays for a time of petting and brushing. Trent and his 2 four-week-old siblings were found on a highway. Trent uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. Siblings are available. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Linus is a shy but sweet kitty. He is about seven years old and absolutely loves to cuddle! We have had him for over four years and he continues to have a problem getting his urine in the litter box. I have tried many many strategies, had him to the vet and tried to work with him. After much very difficult consideration, we are making the very hard decision to find Linus a new home. He might like being a part time outdoor cat..? I checked “no” to good with kids because he is skittish. I have a 9 year old and he does mostly good with them but does not like quick, sudden movements or loud noises. He will hiss or bat when he feels provoked. He has never bitten. He’s a good cat overall, just having trouble in our home. He’s healthy and up to date with care. He had a dental earlier this year and all his labs were good.

He also enjoys sitting in the empty bathtub. He knows what he wants and he will definitely ask for it. He can be a little bossy about food. And Doritoes are not safe around him. Lol(Seriously, keep them safe. He steals them.)He's a mild tempered guy. He loves head boops and chin strokes while he lounges. He enjoys doing his own thing bit isnt shy about letting you know when he wants your attention. He would do best with no other males until he is neutered. He does great with the ladies 😊MYOUH HAS UNTIL NOV 1st 2026 before he will be turned over to the animal humane society. PLEASE CONSIDER HIM FOR YOUR HOME!We have 4 cats already and cant keep him. 😔He shows great potential for toilet training! We have managed to get him to (almost) pee in the toilet before!
