Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Akira from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 4 year old female Malamute.  I am approximately 55 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, super affectionate, loving, and friendly.  l was saved from a Korean  slaughter house.  I don’t know how I ended up there but I was so scared and I used to hear the cries from the other dogs.  The activists came and saved us and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,895 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.   The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. KANGA  thrives on adventure and would love an active adopter who will take him on adventures and give him plenty of play time! Kanga is a loyal guy and will be a great companion for someone. He LOVES the snow in the winter and to swim in the summer.  His number one favorite activity (even more than walks and treats) is going for car rides! He likes feeling the wind in his face through an open window (car surfing). Kanga is incredibly observant and curious. Kanga’s comfort with people has grown significantly while in rescue. He does need a little time to build trust, but eventually he will follow you around and give you kisses! He is also quite affectionate and loyal to those he bonds with. Kanga has excellent house manners and is happy to chill on his bed or lay beside you as you work. He has basic training and knows: sit, down, come, get it, stay, and release and is ready for the next level of training. He is very treat motivated and responds well to a clicker. Kanga just needs to know you can be counted on to pay attention to his physical cues when he’s feeling overwhelmed. Kanga would do best in a home setting with a secure yard and would prefer to be your only pet. He might do well with savvy teens as long as they are aware of Kanga’s “dog language” and can give him space when he needs it.  Are you the active, patient, forever home that Kanga is seeking? Kanga is currently enjoying the amenities of our Malley Valley doggie resort.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 17, 2024, 9:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. PHOENIX is a large boy who loves adventures, playing fetch and getting all the scratches you are willing to give.  He enjoys playing with stuffed toys that squeak, if it makes noise he will love it! Treats you say? Oh he will do so many tricks for you for snacks. He can sit, down, shake, other paw and more!  With a striking appearance and a heart full of love, he is on a journey to find his forever home. This sweet-natured canine requires an owner who can provide consistent guidance and training. PHOENIX thrives on mental and physical stimulation and requires an engaged owner who can provide him with ample opportunities for play and exercise. Despite his occasional mischievousness and counter-surfing tendencies, PHOENIX's loyalty and desire for affection shine through, making him a wonderful companion for the right family willing to give him the love and structure he deserves. He is still learning to trust other dogs, so he would do best in a home as the King. He loves all the attention, and will fill your home with fun, silliness and snuggles! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. Little Miss SHELBY is a sweetheart with a big smile and a nonstop tail wag!  Based on her size, we expect she is a malamute and husky mix, bringing the best of both breeds.  She knows basic commands, "sit", "down" and "wait" but could use further training.  She is food motivated which will help when teaching her new commands and tricks.  SHELBY is good on the leash and will enjoy joining you on all of your outdoor adventures.  She is a  loving, playful, active girl who generally does well with other dogs once they have established who is boss in the house (hint: it's her!). SHELBY has food allergies that will require a special diet and lifetime of medication.  Therefore, she needs a family that can afford her medications, special food and has the time to administrator them. SHELBY would love for you to open up your home to her and she promises to not steal the couch...well, at least not the whole couch! SHELBY is currently being fostered by a loving family in Eastern Washington.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 17, 2024, 9:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process.   *** Adoption Pending!*** Since arriving at WAMAL, SPIRIT has shown the fun side of her personality, chasing and playing with her ball and toys! Her past life was outside in a kennel with little training, which has made her hesitant around people. However, with a little help she should develop into a brave lady that lives up to her name.   SPIRIT will need a family with patience to house and leash train her.  Plus teach her basic commands. She is smart and should pick up everything quickly, especially if there is a treat. SPIRIT needs a calm and quiet forever home and  would benefit from having a confident K9 brother to help her realize that humans can be trusted.   Are you the family for this sweet girl?
