Story
Logan – Boxer Mix Logan is a handsome male Boxer mix with a sweet heart and a lot of love to give. Born July 8, 2020, Logan weighs about 72 pounds and has been part of his current family since he was adopted from a dog rescue in Georgia in 2020. He is housebroken, crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his rabies and DHPPC vaccines. Logan is good with dogs and children, making him a wonderful fit for a family looking for a loyal companion. He is housebroken and well mannered. He is also current on heartworm prevention and has been heartworm tested - which was negative.  His current family loves him and wants the very best for him, but they feel they no longer have the time or space to give him the home life he deserves. Logan spends much of his time alone, and they want him to have the chance to be with a family who will truly make him part of their everyday life. Logan is described as a great dog who deserves a great family. He is ready for a fresh start with someone who will give him the love, attention, and healthy home environment he needs. Logan is 5 years old and has been with our family since we adopted him at 3 mother’s old. He is loving, playful, and energetic, and needs an owner that has time to play with him and take him for walks. Our schedules have become hectic, and our yard is much smaller now than when we first got him. He gets along great with other dogs.

Story
***DFW area only-No Exceptions*** Mindy is a 7 months old (as of 7/3/26) possibly Shepherd/Boxer mix puppy.  She was found stray, dirty and hungry and taken to a shelter. Her foster mom saw her laying scrawny, shut down and depressed in the shelter and felt compelled to bring her in to the Legacy Humane fold!    Mindy loves to be cuddled, enjoys belly rubs, and loves the attention of her people. She was probably on the streets her whole life so, being in a home is such a blessing to her. She has made huge strides in her short time in foster care-going from a pup scared of everything to a happy go lucky puppy who seeks love, fun and cozy naps all day long.    Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. She would love an owner who enjoys throwing toys for her and watching her silly scamper as she chases it. She will reward her owner with unfailing love: following you, laying at your feet and seeking pets. Mindy adores squeaky toys, and her most prized possession is her rubber chicken. Mindy would do best in a home with older children and no cats. She does well with the dogs in her foster home, often looking to them for cues on what to do in her new environment. She would not be apartment appropriate.    Mindy is an amazing puppy who has been given a new lease on life and is thrilled with her good fortune.    Current weight 30 lbs Projected weight 50 lbs Crate trained /potty trained  Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention    We are requesting a donation of $275 for the adoption which includes her spay, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative.  If you're interested in meeting or adopting her, please complete an application on our website and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours.  https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/    We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Story
Hi hoomans, it’s me, Sommer, your resident 6‑pound cuddle bug and part‑time chaos intern. Big news: I went outside for the very first time this week. Wow. So many smells. So many things to explore. So much room to run and play with the resident dogs. I am thoroughly intrigued by this thing called a hose and the wet stuff that comes out of it. Reminds me of my first week here with all of my spa days. Uncle Max has been teaching me how to watch squirrels like a serious dog. I stand next to him and stare at the fence, but honestly…I have no idea what we’re waiting for. He seems very passionate about it, though, so I pretend I understand. I’m feeling better, getting braver, but still like being held so I can shove my whole face into your neck like a baby koala. Foster life is pretty great. Love, Sommer 🐶✨ Sommer’s first few days here were a little “ruff” — poor girl had some tummy troubles and mostly wanted to snooze. But now that she’s feeling better, her puppy personality is bursting through. She’s playing with toys (Lamb Chop is the reigning favorite), wrestling with her brother Kayce, and treating foster mom’s walking boot like her own personal jungle gym. She loves being held, burying her face in your neck, and has become surprisingly accustomed to her frequent “spa days” thanks to those tummy issues. 😆 She loves when the big resident dogs come over to say hello, she gets up and runs over to give kisses 🥰 This little girl is a beauty and her name is Sommer. This is her story. A mama dog was pulled off the streets and safely delivered 9 puppies in foster care. They’ve been loved and cared for since birth… but then the original foster’s landlord found out, and the puppies had to be moved immediately. Dallas Dog - Rescue.Rehab.Reform brought them into the fold and they have been separated into smaller groups for fostering. They are: 🐾 Medium‑breed pups 🐾 Social, playful, and used to being together 🐾 At a critical age where consistency matters We are beginning to accept adoption applications so we can place them in stable homes as soon as they’re ready. Pairs are ideal, but single‑pup adopters committed to proper socialization are welcome too. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the moment to step in for one of these babies. www.dallasdog.org

Story
Laramie is a beautiful little girl. She’s very sweet and friendly. She wants to say hi to everyone and give them kisses. She gets along great with other dogs and has spent time with children and was good with them too. She has a foster cat sister and would really like to play with her too but the kitty isnt a fan of puppyness. She’s got puppy energy and loves to play and chew. She follows her foster dog sister around and they play, although she’s going to need a bigger playmate. She loves to run and would do great with a yard! Here is her story. A mama dog was pulled off the streets and safely delivered 9 puppies in foster care. They’ve been loved and cared for since birth… but then the original foster’s landlord found out, and the puppies had to be moved immediately. Story
Carter checking in. Just a reminder that I'm still here waiting for my perfect family. I love big, play hard with my foster siblings, run fast and now jump high. I'm super smart - learned how to go inside and outside through a magic door this week, and love soft beds to sleep in. I'm having so much fun at Camp 5 Oaks and have learned so much but am ready to meet my new family! Meet Carter, an adorable 15-week-old puppy weighing 20 pounds with a beautiful brindle coat. He will grow into a medium-sized dog. He’s smart, eager to please, and has a fun yet calm personality. He’s been working on all the commands and is sure to charm you with his talents. A sweet little male with a story to tell. He is such a good boy. Certified cuddle expert. Professional tail wagger. He believes every human is his best friend and every snack should legally be shared with him. A mama dog was pulled off the streets and safely delivered 9 puppies in foster care. Story
Hi, I’m Kayce, the 25.5 lb lap dog you’ve been searching for! My foster parents say I’m only 14 weeks old, but look at these legs! I am built for long walks, backyard zoomies, and absolute elite-level couch snuggling. 🌟 Boxer mix on paper, brindle Black Mouth Cur in looks, and 100% good boy in personality. 🐕 Great with dogs: Play with a GSD, Pocket Bully, and Terrier. 🐈 Cat friendly: Safely living with 2 foster cats. 🎓 Smart boy: Already knows 'sit' and 'down'. 💤 Crate trained: Doing amazing and age-appropriate. 🚽 Potty training: Working hard on potty training and going outside. I’m a smart, handsome pup with a huge heart, and I'm ready to find my forever family. ❤️ Hi everyone, it’s me, Kayce — your friendly neighborhood chaos nugget, wrestling champion, and professional zoom‑ologist. This week has been AWESOME: I got to run around outside and I have decided that the backyard is my personal amusement park. There are smells to sniff, sticks to chomp, and dogs to wrestle (lovingly of course). I take my job as Fun Supervisor very seriously. I also met a hose. I do NOT vibe with the hose. It wiggles. It sprays. It’s unpredictable. I barked at it once to let it know I’m watching, then retreated to a safe distance because I value my life. I’m getting braver, smarter, and sillier every day. I love exploring, wrestling, and doing independent puppy missions… but I also love cuddles. Especially the kind where I smush my face into foster mom's until she kisses my head. So anyway… I think I’m pretty awesome. And I think you might think I’m awesome too. Please adopt me so I can bring my zoomies, snuggles, and questionable decision‑making skills to your home. Love, Kayce 🐶 A mama dog was pulled off the streets and safely delivered 9 puppies in foster care. Moxie is a playful girl who loves being near her people or outside playing with her canine brothers and sisters. Moxie plays well with other dogs and is always up for a chase around the yard or a tug of war. She is house and crate trained and gladly goes in her crate for meals and treats.Moxie is vocal but not excessive; more of a talker. She is good about letting you know when she is ready to go out or come back inside.Moxie is always close to her foster Dad, at his feet when he is working at his desk, cuddling on the couch, or curled up tight and as close as possible when it is time for bed.Moxie is just an all-around sweetheart, full of love and a spring in her step. She is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Ruby Monday is a total love bug who was unfortunately dumped at a high-kill shelter when her previous family moved without her. She lives with many other dogs in her foster home and gets along well with everyone, except when someone gets into an altercation. She thinks she is supposed to end all spats, so we never leave her with the other dogs unattended. For this reason, she would do better in a home as an only furkid or with an experienced owner.Ruby loves humans of all sizes and ages. She is a cuddlebug who loves to go for car rides and walks. It is hard to believe she's a senior with her energy and happy, outgoing nature. It would be wonderful for any senior who wants a dog to spend retirement with them, and still give anyone who might want to cause trouble a reason to think twice because of her size and bark. She is fully vetted, current with her vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention. Ruby is available for permanent foster care if you live within a reasonable distance of our veterinary clinic. If you are hoping for a companion but are on a limited budget and feel you can not afford to take care of a dog, we would love to help you give Ruby a wonderful forever home.

Story
Meet Pebbles Pebbles is a one-year-old sweetheart (as of February 2026) weighing in at about 40 lbs, and she’s the perfect mix of playful energy and loving affection. Like most young dogs, Pebbles is full of life—she loves attention, enjoys playtime, and is always eager to be by your side. She gets along great with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a canine companion. She hasn’t been around children or cats just yet, but we’re happy to arrange a cat test if needed to help find her perfect match. Pebbles is incredibly loving and eager to please, which makes her a wonderful candidate for continued training and bonding with her future family. Her housetraining is currently unknown since she’s staying in a boarding facility, but with consistency and a routine, she’s expected to catch on quickly. She is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and heartworm negative—ready to head home with you! If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion to grow with your family, Pebbles might just be your girl. Interested in meeting Pebbles?
