Winston, male pit bull mix (amputee) Winston was shot with a 12 guage rifle in November of 2015. He lost his leg because his owner failed to keep him in a safe environment (fenced yard). While he was wandering the area, he was shot in the leg. Unfortunately, he lost his leg, and his home after that, as his owner couldn't take responsibility for his vet care either. Winston is a ton of fun. Winston has a requirement for a fenced yard, and no other pets. He has accepted neighbors dogs after some time getting to know them through the fence in his foster home. He knows sit, fetch, leave it, and is house trained, crate trained (iif needed, but he's generally a good boy), neutered and a big lover. Hello, my name is Nova. I got lost while out for my morning coffee and nobody came looking for me to take me back home. I`m about 6years old and weigh about 60lbs. When I`m not out cleaning up the streets, I love to go for walks and play outside. Other dogs and I get along but I have enough energy for the both of us and it would be nice to be around a more relaxed dog. I absolutely enjoy being the center of attention while soaking up all of the pets. When its time to get ready for work, I put my Animal Control vest on I give my peers a hard time by rolling on my back and laugh as they struggle. But once its on then its time for funny business and I play, and play with all of my toys until its time to clock out for the day. I love everyone with the same energy so much that the amount of love that I have to share may not be the best suited for small or young kids. (Sorry). Hey there!My name is Beans! I`m about 6 months old, I currently weigh about 40lb, and I`m a Pitty mix!I came to MCAC as a stray, where unfortunately it was discovered that I have parvo! Parvo can be a fatal disease if left untreated, but it is so easily preventable with proper vaccinations. Fortunately it was discovered in time and I was treated and have made a full recovery!I`m a super happy and playful young man! I don`t really know any tricks or commands yet, but I would love to go to puppy obedience school and learn!I would probably do best in a home with kids 10 and up. I`m a very sweet, laid back boy. I know how to sit, I walk super well on a leash, and I take treats really nicely! I`m also very good when I go for buh bye rides in the car! I do know how to sit when I want a treat. I love to play with all types of toys and run in a yard. I play well with other dogs in the yard but I do not do well with cats.I would be great to go into a home with a fence in yard because I enjoy running around with a toy in my mouth.
