Story
Lagertha is a super sweet energetic dog. She gets along with other dogs and kids. She was getting along with our house cat. But her and the other dog ended up getting in an unexpected fight with the cat and the cat didn’t make it. Normally they would be cuddled together and nice to each other. We don’t really know what happened cat might’ve swung at the dog and it just escalated. We are rehoming her because we have a 2 year old and we just don’t want to take a chance. Lagertha is super sweet otherwise which makes this very surprising. But she would probably be better off in a house with no cats. Or just being completely supervised. Her mom is a papered XL Bully. So she is half XL Bully quarter bully and quarter pit. She loves to cuddle with people and animals and wants to be on top of you. She is not toy or food aggressive. And had never shown any sign of aggression other than the attack on the cat.

Story
Say hello to GG, a super cute, sweet, and affectionate bundle of joy who`s ready to find her forever home. GG is the perfect mix of playful energy and loving snuggles, she`ll keep you smiling from the moment you wake up to the moment you curl up together at night. GG absolutely adores people and thrives on attention. She`s happiest when she`s part of the action, whether that’s joining up for a walk, chasing her favorite toy, or showing off her happy zoomies in the yard. She’s easy on leash and adores sniff adventures. Once relaxed, GG turns into a total cuddle bug, and she’s the perfect size for your lap. (She thinks laps are perfect for naps!) This gorgeous girl is very expressive and will alert you of her satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction with a variety of grunts – it’s adorable! She does an awesome job keeping herself entertained when we go out and leave her alone for a few hours in her crate. Her foster parents say “we’re so glad we get to have this time to get to know GG and just know she will be the best girl for her future family!” Come meet this loving pup today! The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Story
Hello, meet Jiff. He recently went on an outing to the dog groomers and was a very good boy, loading into the tub and being bathed. He did well in the car and was polite out and about. Jiff has lived in a home previously so knows how to behave and is housetrained. Jiff loves treats, we`re not sure if peanut butter is his favorite but he knows how to sit and stay on command. Story
Cooper is a lovable, goofy 10-month-old pup with a heart of gold and a whole lot of enthusiasm for life. He’s incredibly social and absolutely lights up when he sees other dogs - he can’t wait to make new friends and play. He’s also a real head-turner with his handsome face and unbelievably soft fur.Cooper is still learning all the fun parts of being an indoor family dog, and he’s taking everything in with curiosity and excitement. He’s working on potty and crate training and making good progress. He’s very treat-motivated, eager to learn, and responds well to positive reinforcement. One of Cooper’s favorite things in the world is playing with his foster sister, Reina. When they’re together, he’s all zoomies, joy, and laughter. He loves to play, explore, and keep life fun - and he happily settles in for naps once he’s had his fill of fun. He absolutely loves pets and will come to you and ask for it. He really enjoys going to PetSmart, sniffing everywhere and greeting every single dog that he sees.Cooper is an energetic, affectionate, and wonderfully spirited young dog who is ready to blossom with a family willing to guide him as he learns. With his sweet nature, playful heart, and eagerness to please, he has all the makings of an amazing lifelong companion. To learn more about Cooper check out @fromkennel2couch on Instagram! The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Story
`Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight; I wish I may, I wish I might… have the wish I wish tonight. I wish YOU would adopt ME!`This sweet, playful pup is ready to brighten someone’s life! Starlight is an affectionate, active teenager who loves nothing more than playing tug, fetching tennis balls, and soaking up belly rubs from her favorite humans. She’s eager to please, fully potty trained, and making great progress with crate training and basic commands like sit and down.Starlight is very food-motivated, making her a quick learner - she’s already improving her leash manners and impulse control at doorways. While she’s still figuring out her feelings about other dogs, she’s showing great progress in checking in with her foster on walks.Because she’s fascinated by small critters, a home without cats would be best for this enthusiastic girl. She’d love access to a yard but does just fine borrowing friends’ fenced spaces or visiting SniffSpots. Most of all, she wants a patient, loving adopter who will continue helping her build confidence. Her foster says Starlight is one of the sweetest pups she’s ever met - full of love, snuggles, and playful energy. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you endlessly, Starlight just might be your perfect match! The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets!
